a pool table and billiards

A nice pool hall with plenty of space! I stopped in one a Sunday evening and there were just a few people there, so not what you would typically expect but it was what we were looking for. There was security when you first walk in, and then you can stop by the bar to order and food/drinks and get set up to play. The bartender got us everything quickly and we were ready to go! Again we enjoyed ourselves and appreciated the chill Sunday evening vibes with great music.

I have gone to the beer garden next door but inside is a solid place for fun and games. They have good hours on happy hour (those prices are for games and drinks). You go up to the bartender to ask for some pool balls and they charge you to the minute. The tables and cue sticks were ok to use. The atmosphere was chill and a good time. I would definitely come back since even if you are not planning on playing pool, they have other games, and just the fact that they have a good happy hour should be enough cause to check it out.

I was in the area, looking for a place to take my kids out to eat, and we came across the beer garden. I have to say, this was a fantastic experience! Everyone was following the guidelines, the place was clean, the food was delicious, hot and fresh! We had a great experience! My kids and I loved looking at the wall art, as it was so creative and vibrant. I had to snap a couple pictures! We haven't been out in awhile, as these are difficult and uncertain times, but, this establishment exceeded my expectations! We left feeling like we found a gem! I highly recommend visiting!

We stopped by here tonight as I'm learning how to play pool. They don't open until 5 pm on the weekend. We arrived around six, just in time for happy hour specials to begin. There was only one other person playing pool. They have four pool tables and each has its own table for food and drinks. The food was typical bar food. I'm a weird person who doesn't like French fries. But I will say, theirs were really good. By the time we left, it was starting to get busy. Groups of younger people were coming in. A huge plus for me -- it's smoke-free! Oh, and it's a very easy walk from the metro. We enjoyed our time there and will be back!

What a neighborhood gem! They have pool tables, video games (golf, anyone?), old-school arcade games, basketball games, and other table games I didn't even know the names, plus ping pong, dart, and so on. Definitely a very cool bar + fun space! Very colorful decor, super comfy sofas and various nooks and areas for groups. They do check ID's though. Strict.

The food was great. The atmosphere is nice. Lots of space. The parking garage is feet from the entrance.

Good place for pool table and table tennis rental. Wish they had that shuffleboard game but maybe some day. Nice beer selection.

My friend hosted a happy hour there, and I love when events like that introduce you to new spots. The drink specials were honestly amazing with $6 drinks, which is hard to beat. The food specials ended at 7 while the drink specials continued until 8, so I was a little bummed to miss out on that. One thing to note if you're ordering food, the four cheese pizza comes with burrata, which I didn't realize ahead of time. I'd definitely come back to try more of the food, especially the flatbreads since they seem to have a lot of good options. That said, I don't think the staff was fully prepared for the size of our group. My friend brought around 60 people on a Friday night, and it was clear the servers were overwhelmed. At times, it took over 10 minutes just to place an order. I don't necessarily think that's the norm, so I'd be open to coming back during a regular happy hour to get a better feel for the service. Great size bar as well.

I stumbled across the Yelp page and wanted to check it out. I was surprised by the food and drink options as they had interesting varieties. I also enjoyed the Moscow mule, I believe I overheard the bartender saying they make their ginger beer in-house. They also have DJs that come through around 9pm on weekends and some weekdays. This was great. Happy hour (3-7) offers beers ranging $1-3, wine $4-6, $7 margs, and I think a few other drink specials, but those options were good enough for me and I went with the wine. Service was a little slow at first, but the one bartender working was friendly and cheerful and doing her best to keep up with everyone until another two eventually showed up or came back from break. Atmosphere was really chill. I liked the dim lighting, everyone was casual and relaxed with a dj setting up in the corner, some hip hop and classic 00s rap bumping, and a steady flow of young-ish friend groups coming in for cheap beer around 5pm. I tried not to evesdrop on the couple next to me at the bar arguing, but their fight sort of added to the entertainment and general vibe. On the other side of me was an adorable couple unsuspectedly ordering fruity drinks and laughing. Totally will be back whenever the end of my work day brings me to this area.

Great spot to watch World Cup games if you've been looking around for options!…read more The space is fairly massive with plenty of screens, so even for popular games you'll likely be able to find a space to perch. I was concerned that for a highly anticipated match it might just be standing room only. But even with a 9pm start and a 9:30pm arrival, my friend and I both were able to find some seats. The bartenders were attentive while appearing to be laid back and kind. Even the food people ordered looked pretty good as well! If there is a good game on with highs and lows, the energy of the crowd really matches the energy of the game. Since there is so much space, those celebratory moments just feel joyful instead of overwhelming. Overall, nice lil vibe and I wouldn't hesitate to return!

Today for the Norway / England quarter finals game the line was wrapped around the building over an hour before the game. We were in line at 3:45pm. It said on their flyer they would begin letting people in to watch the game at 4pm (game started at 5pm). I've been to Franklin hall before I know how big it is and it's even bigger if they open up the second space. I didn't think we would have any problem getting in. 4:45pm comes around and we start hearing from other people that they're at capacity. My husband went up and they were giving very unclear answers. Apparently they had a party for the embassy of Norway, I'm not sure how much space that was taking. I think they could've announced to the long line that had been waiting over an hour that they were at capacity. It ended up being a rush to find alternative bars to watch the game. Totally understand it gets busy, but wish there was better communication to the fans outdoors.

The customer service is attentive and friendly. The wings and Walkers Smash Burger were a disappointment in the flavor department. The burger was bland and the wings did not have good texture. I like that Walters has adequate and ample booth seating. There is indoor and outdoor seating options, with plenty of big screen televisions throughout the restaurant. On big game nights, you can see the game on multiple screens and from various vantages. The bar is centrally located and seemingly accommodating for the size of the venue. The one downside of this experience is the mens restroom was downright filthy. Apparently there was an overflow or clogged urinal which spilled all over the floor and created an unsanitary situation. Overall, a good experience and viable option that is closer to South Capitol Street and not deep in the heart of Navy Yard.

We arrived to a line out the door on a Friday night but we only waited around 25 minutes for a table. The seating inside is plentiful and the atmosphere is loud but cozy and fun - family friendly and enjoyable. The steak and burger were cooked to perfection, the sauces were outstanding and the Caesar salad was by far the best out of all of this listed. The bar selection and beer selection were amazing - the menu clearly highlights the types of beer into each category which helps make a decision much faster. The Cider on tap was so good.
