It's your typical sports bar with plenty of TV's, seating, games and an impressive beer lineup. We were meeting a few friends and only having drinks. No wait, no lines, plenty of open seating, friendly staff.

I really enjoy coming to this spot in union square. It feels kind of like a hidden spot but it's actually very well known. They have a huge selection of beers. I'll usually bring friends here if they're visiting the city and staying somewhere near union square for some drinks and some bites. They have arcade games and a few other fun things to try. They also have a large screen for watching your favorite games. They have servers that walk around and help at your table. Or just go up to the bar and place your order for the drinks and food. They have a great taco Tuesday deals!

Based on Yelper reviews thought this place interesting and stooped while on a staycation. Large space with many TVs, gaming area, array of seating options and awesome beer selection. Was debating between two and she offered us sampler to make our selection, easy, wow. Loved her rec of fog city ipa. Yelpers stated that they didn't have table service, but we caught them on a day they did. Our waitress was very friendly, helpful, and came with a cheery smile. Ordered 18 wings which had a nice kick to them. Just wish they were hotter and crispy. Then ordered truffle fries. Asked for hot and crispy and they delivered.

An SF staple! You can't go wrong with 3 floors of entertainment. GG Tap is busy for home games and crazy for city events such as Santa Con. Great selection of beers including house made options. Traditional bar food options: wings burgers etc. Convenient location with somewhat easier parking after 6pm (meter restrictions)

If you're looking for a place to watch the Niners game in San Francisco, Golden Gate Tap Room is definitely the spot! They had two different floors, the second floor showing multiple games, and the third floor was dedicated to the Niners. We got here about an hour before game time, and they open the third floor about 30 minutes before the start of the game. I'd recommend getting there around that time to snag a good table to watch the game They have an extensive beer selection along with a full bar. There are no signature cocktails, but I got a lemon drop that was made to perfection. The bartenders were amazing and ran that place like a well oiled machine. To snack on, we got an order of the garlic fries. As a french fry connoisseur, these were DEVINE!! Thin, crispy and piping hot with a spicy mayo and ranch sauce on the side. They were so good, we ordered another. So simple, but so so so delicious. I will 100% be back here for another sporting event!

Service was good, I ordered at the bar. I got a margarita and two carne asada tacos during happy hour. Total was $17.50. Perfect snack before meeting family and friends for dinner. The tacos were incredible! I wish I had taken a picture.

fun, chill space especially if you're a Bay Area sports fan! We've been here during the day when it was slow and also during a 49er game. It was totally packed during the Niner game and the slow time is nice to take a break from walking around Union Square.

We came in for a beer on a Sunday night. It was a bit dead, the bartender was nice. Overall it's an okay sports bar to come check out.

This is a really great place to watch sports and hang out. I find that it's really hard to find a sports bar that has: 1. lots of TVs 2. decent food/variety of food 3. variety of drinks 4. large This place has a very large menu, lots of beer, the space is huge and multi-level. There are fun games and pool here as well. You do have to come here early to secure a seat for busy game days. I love how every spot is a good viewing spot. They also have happy hour as well. I was bummed that on a big night like NBA finals, they were out of certain popular beers and the section option we picked was a bit flat or what was recommended was not similar to what we tried to order.

Okay, look, when you want a sports bar, you want a sports bar. This isn't the romantic date spot or the place you take new coworkers to impress them... unless they're Warriors fans. The space is large enough that there's room for a ton of TVs with an assortment of sports paired with speakers bumping great music and keeping the energy high. You're not here to decompress after a high pressure meeting, you're here for loaded tots and beer, SO much beer. The folks here are great, very accessible and cool with suggestions, especially if you're looking for something new to try from their stable of beers. Round up the troops, come watch the game(s), get it going with the bar grub and impressive beer selection and you will NOT be disappointed you stopped by. Just be ready to hike upstairs as the place is not on the ground floor. Thankfully, after a night of trying out great beers it's much easier to get down the stairs than up them... just, you know, try not to roll down them.

We stopped by here for a quick snack and to kill some time before our next reservation. The place is much bigger than I expected, especially when looking from the outside. This is a spacious sports bar with games to keep you occupied. We had some carne asada fries and a pepperoni pizza. The carne asada fries were a good appetizer. The pizza was decent but smaller than I expected. The staff was friendly and made sure we had what we needed.

What originally started as a disappointment became a huge blessing once we found the board room. Feet aching, sweaty, and tired we made our way to this bar. Immediately you could tell it's a local favorite, the ambiance was nice and a great spot to people-watch. There was a cup flipping event which was super fun to spectate, along side the rotating pictures of the bar's beloved pooches . We ordered 2 western burgers, 12 count bone-in wings (half bbq, half Hawaiian), and an appetizer of corn dogs, tater tots, bacon Mac & cheese bites, and mozzarella sticks. Later we also added boneless buffalo wings which were so tangy, well-seasoned, and HOT. The western bacon burgers were so delicious, crispy bacon, crispy onion rings, and some bomb.com bbq sauce. The wings were drowned in sauce (just how we like them) , the bbq was to die for and the Hawaiian had the perfect little kick of spice for our picky eaters. The appetizer platter was also fried to perfection, with the perfect crunch on the tater tots & corn dogs. The Mac & cheese bites & mozzarella sticks were perfectly cheesed, with an amazing cheese pull on the mozzarella sticks. Along with the food, my boyfriend and I ordered some drinks. I got a margarita and he got a Guinness. Both drinks were good, very standard and well served. The couple behind the bar were very funny and super kind to us being dazed after all the walking. On our way back down to SoCal my brother is still raving about the burgers, this is a MUST-STOP the next time we come up to San Francisco!!

I stopped by around 4:30 p.m. and there were a few tables where I saw folks finishing up their work day on their laptops with a beer. It's neither overly crowded, nor overly loud, which is perfect for getting work done. Since it was the World Cup and many guests would be camping out for the entire match, table service has a per person minimum spend of $25. This is a really a non-issue because a cocktail is around $15, so two drinks, or one drink with some food, will easily hit this minimum. My wife and I shared crispy pork schnitzel ($17) and an order of their deviled eggs ($12). The deviled eggs were nicely seasoned and included a small salad shrimp on top for some variety. The pork schnitzel was perfectly fried and the potatoes in the included side-salad was well-cooked and not over dressed. I would recommend enjoying the schnitzel with some mustard. Both drinks that I ordered -- an Old Fashioned and a Boulvardier, were well prepared. No notes here. Service here was top notch. Throughout our stay, our server checked up on us multiple times and we never had to wait long to place another order for drinks. Tipping options on the receipt include pre-calculated 18%, 20%, and 22% options (on top of the 5% SF Mandate).
