Came here with my wife for our anniversary and while the food was great, sitting outside was not it. They sun was beaming on the back patio and there is barely any shade or fans or anything to provide relief. The food was pretty good but took a long time to come out. I got the oysters, crème brulee and chocolate cake with ice cream. All in all I'd recommend it if you're not in a hurry. Definitely eat inside on hot days! read more

I have been going to Boathouse at Sunday Park, long before the other locations existed, and I'll have to say this visit was the best I've had in years. Bryce provided fabulous service, recommendations and made us feel like we mattered. We are foodies so it's a a true compliment to say, my Broiled Seafood Combo was DELISH! It was cooked perfectly, so much so, I felt like I was eating at a high end ocean front restaurant. My orange crush 'crushed it' and the view from the interior top floor was ideal. This location is my fav and is at the top of my list yet again, thanks to Bryce and the chef, we will definitely be back! read more

I've been to a few boathouse locations. I really enjoyed the midlo location! I went with a friend who has a 1 year old and all the staff were sooooo sweet! Especially with my friends baby! Sometimes bringing babies to fancy restaurants, the staff tends to not like that. My friends child is super well behaved and our staff was great. The ambiance is so gorgeous and it's close to some water if I remember! The parking and how to get to it can be a little confusing but relatively easy to figure out. The food was delicious! Beautiful experience at The Boathouse at Sunday Park! We had such a wonderful time dining here. Our server, Jamie Cole, was warm, attentive, and made us feel perfectly taken care of. We started with the focaccia bread, which was soft, flavorful, and the perfect beginning to our meal. I had the clam chowder, which was rich and comforting, while my friend enjoyed a fresh Caesar salad. For entrées, I ordered the rockfish, and it was absolutely amazing -- perfectly cooked, served over a risotto cake with charred tomatoes and a delicious green sauce (I don't know the name, but it tied everything together beautifully). My friend had the seafood combination -- crab cake, scallops, shrimp, broccolini, and Yukon gold mashed potatoes -- and everything was cooked to perfection. Came here on a Friday with 6pm reservations; the place was already packed! It was a fun and relaxed vibe, even had a man playing the Congo too. We were seated in a private area, sadly with no view of the water. Paul was our waiter, who seemed new, but was very friendly and nice. We started out with the bread basket, i am a plain kind of girl, so they brought out everything bagel seasoned butter and some oil with spices. The bread was great, but I did not really care for the fancy dipping / butter. i ordered the salmon, which was really fishy, the potatoes were a little hard, but I was able to eat it. My boyfriend got the oysters, carrots and Caeser salad. The salad looked wonderful, and he ate it all. The carrots were ok, some were soft, and some were barely cooked. Overall, for as expensive it was I would not be back with the quality of food I got. The place is huge and can hold a lot of people, but unfortunately, I was not overly impressed. Beautiful setting! We had a lovely seat right on the edge of the deck next to the water. We were able to make reservations the day of which was really nice. The food was decent. Adequately priced for what you got. The service was a 10/10. Our server Carlos was extremely attentive and happy. He made an effort to attend to our table consistently and promptly. I will start with the positive. The views here are amazing. On the lake, perfect sunset viewing and plenty of seating, both indoors and out. As for the food, and service, there was much to be desired. To start, our server was McKenzie (sp?). Once we were seated it was a good 10 minutes before we even saw her. When she did come, she apologized as she thought she had outside tables too (but there was no one seated outside). She took our appetizer and (simple) drink order. The appetizer came out first.. about 7-8 minutes later. Which was fine on timing, but where are our drinks?? She brought those about 5 minutes later, but she placed them in the center of the table and not in the rightful place within arms' reach of either of us. My drink, watermelon margarita, was mostly ice. It also had no distinct taste, even of watermelon. The appetizer, zucchini chips, was just okay. The breading on it was good, as it was light. But, for as thin as the chips are sliced they overcooked them and the zucchini texture was way off. I had ordered the wedge salad, but asked them to chop it and add grilled chicken. In addition to this coming out late, my salad was so small. It was sold as an entree salad, but was definitely side-salad size, at best. That said, the chicken-to-salad ratio was really good! I'll say also that the chicken was cooked well and not super dry. Overall, this place is a miss. If you close your eyes and just eat dinner there, you'll see no redeaming value to the place. read more

The Boathouse at Sunday Park was the perfect place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The idyllic venue nestled in the woods overlooks a scenic lake perfectly positioned to take in the sunset. Outdoor seating is a great option, but we chose indoor seating on this beautiful 95+ June day. We were promptly seated at a cozy booth inside. The server warmly congratulated us on our anniversary and let us know that the couple across from us were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. We shared greetings and congratulations with the young couple. Our first choice of wine was not available and our server gave his recommendation for a Boathouse signature red Zinfandel. Although technically reds don't pair with our choices of apps or entrees we most often choose a bold red. The zin went well with our beautifully presented Rockefeller Roasted Oysters and entrees. The oysters were large and succulent. We both ordered from the Chef's Summer Feature menu. My wife chose the broiled seafood combination. Each seafood feature was perfectly seasoned, tender and cooked perfectly. She enjoyed what she couldn't finish the following day. I chose the Double Cut Bourbon Brined Tomahawk Pork Chop. A good thick cut is the only way to enjoy a great pork chop. Exquisitely seasoned, tender and cooked just enough, served with a peach chutney and matchstick fries, one couldn't ask for a better entree. Our server was a memorable part of our experience. His friendly personality and humor was an added bonus to our celebration. The Boathouse at Sunday Park earns my highest recommendation for service, atmosphere, and cuisine. read more

I made a reservation at The Boathouse at Sunday Park for my partner's birthday and specifically included a note asking them to help make it a special experience. Unfortunately, it ended up being one of the most disappointing dining experiences we've had. We arrived early and were told we had to wait because tables were being cleaned, despite there being several visibly open tables. Once we were finally seated, our table still hadn't been cleaned and someone had to come wipe it down afterward, which made the wait even more frustrating. No one acknowledged the birthday at all, which honestly makes me question why they even ask about special occasions during the reservation process. The food was also very disappointing, especially the fried oysters and steamed mussels, which had a strong odor that smelled like a dirty sink. I also ordered a diet soda that was completely flat. Between the food quality and drinks, the experience just kept getting worse. On top of that, the service was slow and inattentive throughout. Overall, the experience felt unorganized, unwelcoming, and far below expectations. Will not be returning. read more

The atmosphere was exactly what we were hoping for, but what really made the day special was our waiter, Levi. Levi was awesome -- he provided some of the best service we've had in a long time. He was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever being overbearing. He really went out of his way to make our Father's Day meal a memorable one. We had good service (Huey) though one of us had a glass of water spilt in their lap...certainly an accident but totally unexpected at what seemed to be a very nice restaurant. Hubby and I came here for date night on Saturday, we sat outside and the view was amazing. Our server Elijah was the best, he was so attentive and friendly and everything came out super fast. recently dined at The Boathouse, and while my experience had its ups and downs, I want to start by highlighting the positive aspect of the service. The waitress was incredibly nice and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite meet my expectations. I ordered an Old-Fashioned, but my cup was off-puttingly dirty on the outside, almost as if it had crusted sugar. It was a bit disappointing, especially when you're looking forward to enjoying a drink. I also tried the grilled Atlantic salmon, which, while colorful, was a bit dry, and the potatoes on the side didn't quite hit the mark. However, the crab artichoke dip appetizer truly saved the day--it was absolutely delicious and a highlight of the meal. Despite the food not living up to my hopes, I must say that the restaurant's view over the water was stunning. It made for a lovely atmosphere and a perfect backdrop for a meal. Overall, I would recommend The Boathouse if you're looking for a picturesque dining experience, but I might suggest exploring other options for the main courses. read more

Sit down and are immediately greeted by the Bartender, Chris, and told that he's training two new people today. He provides a few recommendations and we start with an orange crush. Now I'm a former bar manager from Maryland (our official state cocktail) so I'm judgey as hell with crushes. PERFECTION. I was pleasantly surprised it had freshly squeezed OJ and a splash of sprite, something everyone fails at. Went to the berry mojito next, which one of the trainees did and I could drink these all day (well, you know ) We split some fried Zucchini with ranch, and Dear Lord they were a perfect pair with the cocktails. This is a MUST try if you're in the area, and management should know how fantastic their bar staff is!! read more
