I was here about a year ago.. I still give 5 stars. The only critique I have is perhaps flip your order/serve stations. It just seems like it would be more natural to me to walk in at the ramp and order then continue walking into the store to pick up your drinks. Today I watched about seven people lined up on that ramp waiting to order before was mentioned that they have to go through the crowd of people waiting for their drinks to the other side to get in line to order their drinks. I just think it would cause a lot less confusion and maybe frustration of customers if you were to flip those two areas read more

On the road and looking for a place that didn't have a green mermaid logo for some coffee in the morning. Bodacious Brew came up on the search. First note, it is a little off the beaten path, so if you're traveling from the interstate, it will be about 20 minutes total out of your way. There is a parking lot next door to the building, but it was unclear if coffee shop patrons could actually park there or not. The shop itself is cute. If you were going to spend some time just hanging at the coffee house, it seems like a good place to read, work, or just pass the time. The coffee was good. Both my husband and I didn't think the flavors we had added were very noticeable, but that didn't take away from the flavor of the coffee. Staff were friendly and fast. read more

Awesome crafted brews. I really liked the blue moon matcha. It has a blueberry base to it with almond foam, very tasty. The pastries were good as well. Cute little venue to enjoy the river by. I love eating here, the food is awesome, I just wish they would clean the patio. There are so many spider webs under the awning cover and on the chairs. Went here for a first time after hearing TONS of good things about Bodacious Brew, and I gotta say, I was not disappointed! Abby at the front took our order, and I asked her if I could take pictures for my Yelp review, and she said yes - THANKS, ABBY!!! This place has TONS of seating, and it's very cool. When we went it was 3:30, and there was a sign out front saying that they were closing at 4:00, so that was unfortunate, because I felt like we had to leave fairly quickly, but luckily, we only got coffee and a pastry, so it's not like we got too much that we couldn't really finish. I got a hazelnut mocha with oatmilk (the oatmilk is a DOLLAR extra, which seems excessive to me?) chiller (anything frozen is caller a chiller here), and my mom got a fall spice latte, and both of these items were really, really delicious. We also got a raspberry pastry, which was also scrumptious! I thought it would just be okay, but it surpassed my expectations by a LOT! I was impressed. I definitely want to be coming back here again, even if they are making people pay for substituting dairy milk or being lactose intolerant. Well worth it! read more

While the food was good the front end service was horrible. No acknowledgement when you walk in, no eye contact. Stood at the counter with two staff members within less than 5 feet and I finally said "Hi, can I order?" Placed order no dialogue at all. Was asked if I had membership and said no first time here. So was handed a buzzer and no explanation of drinks being right up. So we went outside and waited. Buzzed in about 10 minutes food was sitting on counter where anyone could have grabbed. Went to grab two drinks and one was ready one wasn't. I asked and was curtly told I'm working on that now. So when drinks are done one was clearly a small not a large. Too bad they can't have staff upfront that greats customers because the food was good. Next time I will go to Citrus. A couple of blocks down and clearly engage with customers. read more

Great coffee shop with awesome ambiance. We sat upstairs in their cozy lounge area. Plus a specialty gift shop connected is a bonus.

I've stopped into this joint a couple of times. It's very close to a regular biz haunt I frequent in the neighborhood. The barista I had on my last visit had significant attention to detail even though I was just after a cold brew with heavy whipping cream. Also, it's plus that they have heavy whipping cream, rather than just half & half. It's a premium condiment and a classy touch. There is really nice outdoor seating overlooking the River as well. Other than coffee, there is a cafe and ice cream menu. Also of browsing interest, there's a walk through to a fancy oil, balsamic and kitchen doodads shop. Im just learning about Janesville... this is a worthwhile stop. Shop local, coffee and all! read more

I really love this coffee shop... coffee, food, location, outdoor space, and even indoor atmosphere. However, I had about taken it off my list because their hours have too many times been posted on the door as different from anywhere published online. Today I decided to give it another shot... was really craving the quiet spot along the river to pound out a ton of work. Google said they're open until 5pm, and Yelp said until 4pm, so I took the risk and drove from 50 minutes away. Aaaaaand they're closing at 2, which gives me just an hour instead of what I thought.... I would NEVER have driven here for an hour. I really am probably taking this place off my list of options at this point. I absolutely love coming to this place! The matcha chiller is my go to drink here and it's great every single time! Baristas are always super friendly and super quick to make drinks. They have outdoor seating yearlong and upstairs seating as well! Super chill place if you're looking to just hang out and grab some drinks with friends or have a meeting. Love this place!! read more

Yes 15 minutes When I ordered the scone I said to the cashier, I would love your last scone-which was in the case You would have thought she would have just put it on a plate and gave it to me While we waited, and waited, I noticed another lady grabbed the scone so I assumed they were playing it along with the bagel No We finally went back to the counter 15 minutes later, even though we had a buzzer our food, to check on where our bagel and scone were. We were informed that they gave my scone away I could pick out something else or get a refund. My heart, and tastebuds, were set on a scone. I was in town from St Louis, knowing nothing about Janesville but wanting coffee and breakfast. I'm not a diner girl. Yelp led me here. With country music and all. I returned every day of my trip. It was pretty empty on a weekday at 8:45. My mocha was amazing good, which I asked for slightly less syrup. It wasn't too hot and very creamy. They also have a selection of breakfast sandwiches, wraps, bowls, quiche and "plates" (keto option too). I went with the avocado wrap (eggs, avo and cheese) but regret not doing a bowl (which has potatoes on bottom). The wrap was a bit bland and no siracha or hot sauce in sight! It is unknown of cheese was actually in the wrap. They have wine glasses and bourbon on the counter. I wonder how to get some of that? They also supplied a food buzzer for when it was ready, but it never went off. Someone just brought the food and called it out. The place had a long line by 9:15 but seating was plentiful. At 7 am it's pretty empty. Some 1 hour parking nearby. Thumbs up: -ambiance/decor (minus the country music...) -speed and customer service -fruit -menu is good -mocha was awesome, lots of milk choices -outside patio by river No thumbs: -no siracha! Very nice bookstore and cafe in downtown Pensacola right next to the south side parking garage across from The Cabaret. Atmosphere: Open and cheery bookstore/cafe. Clean and welcoming environment. A Post-it note wall with a current prompt to post a book that changed your life adds to the welcoming and friendly atmosphere. It is a great place for readers and writers alike. There is a seating area and one has a charging station for your laptop or phone charger so you can get some work done while you enjoy your order from the cafe. On the cafe menu: coffee, teas, pastries, and paninis are among some things that you will find on the menu. I was told the menu is not as big as their other cafes but there's still lots to choose from. I ordered the Americano, and it was how I hoped it would be - simple, fresh, and delicious. No burnt coffee here my friends! Bookstore: Nice collection of books to be found here. Among them: fiction, self-help, and sports & leisure. They have Stephen King novels here which makes me happy! Staff: Friendly and engaging staff! They made us feel so welcome. The manager gave us her book recommendations which I also love. I'm always up for new book suggestions. Second time here and even better than the first time! Upon entry, you will fall in love with the old building that has been exquisitely re-done. The first time we were on the first floor where there is a lot of outside seating by the Rock river in a beautiful patio area. This time we ventured up to the second and third floors which are beautifully designed. The menu is excellent with many European type offerings. I ordered something off the "official" menu, a "Red Eye" with 3 shots of espresso. I was pleasantly pleased at how it reminded me of good Italian espresso I had had in Rome, Italy. The only down point has been both times I have gone we had to stand there while two to three employees ignored us until I had to ask if I was standing in line? Or where IS the line? I also asked if they sold their cool black coffee cups that say their business' name and they didn't . I hope they start to sell them! read more
