Phenomenal coffee shop / cafe in Janesville! I used to never be able to find a coffee shop I wanted do work at and could grab a cup of coffee AND some food in an awesome environment in Janesville... But BOOM, Bodacious Brew is now in town and it satisfies all those desires I look for in a coffee shop! I was pumped to find this place. The two levels with huge windows looking out to the river make it a really cool environment. Not only is their coffee excellent (I had a pour over) their food is great too! I had their steak and egg bowl; very happy with it. It's the perfect place to jam out some work, have a conversation with friends, or just grab a cup of joe in a cool environment. They also have event space and a patio for when the weather is nice. I think they also sell alcohol for when it starts to get late, lol. Absolutely in love with this place. The workers are always very pleasant. I love the beautiful views from upstairs. I often go her to work on projects and see others doing the same or socializing. My favorite things to order are the iced Chia Tea and Avocado Toast. read more

a great looking coffee house in downtown Janesville that got major funding and investment. There are two levels and the coffee house is attached to an olive oil store and this is bay far one of the best places to hang out and drink for miles. The place has party rooms to rent out and being along the river walk this would make an ideal spot for any family celebration although the elderly and increptide might have trouble walking the stairs. I have been a bit disappointed at the quality of coffee in Janesville. When I moved here 80% of people I met suggested I go and try Mocha Moment, which is close to where I live. So I went there. And was not impressed. By the service, food, and most of all coffee. But I will have a review of them soon. Bodacious brew. I've been in Janesville two years and just"discovered" BB two weeks ago. I have been to BB more often over those two weeks than I have been to MM over two years. This is a large, beautiful space. Plenty of tables for doing work, sitting,chatting. But let's talk about the important thing. Coffee. I went to MM and asked for a flat white. 20 minutes later I got a cappuccino, and overheard one of the 'baristas' saying a flat white was the same as a latte. Ouch! I didn't see it on the menu, so I asked if they could make it. Barista basically defined a flat white and proceeded to make this delicious, velvety, cup of coffee. It doesn't even need sugar. Hey have cold brew and loose leaf tea.. my next test is early grey tea.. but, I can't stop myself from ordering a flat white every time I walk into his establishment. Service is great too. Granted, Midwestern coffee shop speed is in no way close to the speed of the Starbucks baristas in Midtown Manhattan, but, it sure as shit isn't snail paced like M.M. There is seating everywhere, on a patio overlooking the rock river, upstairs, downstairs.. it is clean, and bright. Not pretentious, and welcoming. I think that if they create a drive up service, or some sort of app to order then just pickup, they will run MM out of business. Solely on the quality of their coffee. Oh. They also have wine and cheese pairings on Thursday afternoons... Yeahp. They did it and turned coffee into wine. Hands down I would walk the 2.5 miles from my house to Bodacious Brew over driving the 2.5 minutes to Mocha Moment. read more

First time visiting and I will definitely be back! The barista was super friendly, made our coffee very quickly, and was able to handle multiple customers at once. Very impressed with her. The coffee? Really good. Not that swill you get from chain coffee shops. It was smooth and delicious. I splurged and a muffin, too. Would definitely like to hang out in the outside area when it's warmer. Great atmosphere, great service, great coffee. read more

I like to stay positive so I will in this review. Bodacious is very consistent. Consistently awful. They are unable to make the pizza correctly. Every time. The açaí bowl is soup. Always. I recommend if you like consistency(consistently awful). Coffee is great though.. can't deny that. read more

I didn't like the coffee I've gotten here every single time I've came here, but I honestly don't know much about coffee, and I've heard mostly favorable reveals, and I do feel ever so inclined to believe them on this one. Since I can't fully agree, I give this joint four stars, as Starbucks has almost always disappointed me, and dunkin donuts coffee being my favorite. I would have to agree in saying that this place is better than Starbucks, even people I know that like it don't even like Starbucks all that much, really, Starbucks can be just a little more convienent. read more

I enjoy this coffee shop. Everything I've gotten there has been good. The drink that sparked this review was a honey latte that tasted great and seemed to be a perfect balance of it's ingredients. I feel cheesy saying it, but that was a work of art. The prices aren't nuts either. read more

What a great addition to Janesville. An awesome meeting space, warm staff, and good coffee (espresso, cold brew, chai, etc). Ample seating with tables right out on the riverfront. They also serve food and wine and live music on Fridays. I'll definitely be back on my next trip to Janesville! read more

Came here during the Saturday morning farmers market. Was looking for some breakfast and a nice coffee. My GF ordered a olive quiche and the regular cold brew herbal tea and I had the sausage quiche and a large iced coffee. The total of all was 20 dollars and change. We received our drinks right away, hers was flavorful and very aromatic. My coffee was lacking coffee flavor (quite disappointing). The quiches took longer than expected, even for a busy day at the farmers market and when they arrived we were both very disappointed with the presentation, quality, and quantity. The olive quiche was simply canned black olives and tomato, burnt and extremely dry. The sausage quiche had just that and was completely flavorless. We will not be back, however if you're in the area the olive oil store attached is a good place for that unique balsamic or flavored olive oil. If you're looking for a good cup of coffee go to mocha moment, and the breakfast at citrus cafe is substantially better than this overpriced place. read more

What sounded like a delightful addition to my neighborhood ended up as a classic bait and switch. The "coffee house" almost immediately morphed into an open-air crap-music-bar as soon as nice weather arrived. Living across the river, I am bombarded by their "patio entertainment" whenever they feel like scheduling it and seriously, no musician needs amplification to be heard by patrons 10 feet away. Too slow. Two people working and I was the only costumer. Ordered a few iced drinks that should have taken about 3-4 minutes to make. I waited 15 minutes. Prices are too high as well. I would suggest just going to Mocha Moment. Better coffee, better prices, better atmosphere. read more

I've been a few times...coffee is always good, not amazing, but good. Hot chocolate is one of my favorites. I ordered a smoothie today and was very disappointed...way to much milk. So much that you couldn't even taste much for fruit at all. I find that your drink is made differently whenever you go based on who is working that day. Consistency between baristas is not there. read more
