I was so excited to eat here again and SO disappointed in the atmosphere and the food. I had the Philly cheesesteak it tasted like it was from the freezer section, not seasoned. Then, one order of fries were seasoned but the other was not. I'm in no hurry to reorder I've eaten here twice one time had potential but this time. I am not interested anymore.

This is half of honey turkey with cheese on a roll. Look at the meat, pitiful, skimpy $7.I do not recommend this place.

This is half of the sandwich, very skimpy with meat. Other half was a little better never again.

Probably the best sandwich shop in all of Charlotte. These guys know what it means to push out fast service food with the upmost flavor profiles in a sandwich, that I've ever had. Hats off to the customer service and recognition of regulars as well. When you go here, get a different sandwich to go, because they're all fantastic. It gives you the feel of being at your neighborhood bodega in any major city. Will be supporting this business til I die

Lots of choice. Delicious flavor. Nice interior space. Bar, tables. Wonderful Columbian Burger and Cuban Sandwich.

I really love this place!! It's an Albemarle rd treasure that can easily go uncovered if you don't pay attention. I stumbled upon it a little over a year ago when I was looking for sandwich shops and they had just done their grand opening. I adore their breakfast bagels, and they are so affordable at only $5. The only other items I've tried are the Cuban sandwich, which was delectable and one of the few authentic Cubans that you can get around Charlotte. There is a perfect balance of flavors, and no flavor overtakes the other. The tres leches is fantastic also, and there is a very large helping. Check this place out! Coming back for the Philly and burger next time.

The service was very nice and quick but the cuban sandwich unfortunately didn't have much flavor

So @dailyspecialclt on IG posted about this "hidden" gem and of course I had to try it. I love these "mom and pop" type places because usually the food is more authentic, delicious and more reasonable in price. First attempt was a bust because just as we pulled up they were closing a bit early because they'd sold out so I vowed to return the next morning and I did. The place is clean, nicely decorated and lively with great Latin music playing over the television. I wanted a chopped cheese but it wasn't 11 yet so I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese on a Kaiser and a coffee(coffee bustelo) and then paid for a chopped cheese and a Cuban sandwich to pick up later. As I sat there, many people came in looking to get lunch not realizing it didn't start until 11 so keep that in mind. And they are indeed open on weekends despite what was posted on Yelp at the time. The breakfast sandwich came out with that good bacon in it, not like the cheap super thin kind at many breakfast spots. It was hot, cheesy and the Mayo and ketchup actually worked well on the sandwich. The bread was fresh and just the right texture! It was just like I used to get on my visits to New York and in some cases better. The coffee was hot and was pretty good but I would have liked it a bit stronger, though I'd order it again. The place really started to fill up at 11 and so I dipped out only to return 45 minutes later to pick up my lunch order. I arrived and it was ready and waiting for me, so I grabbed it and went to the car to indulge, post pics of course. Did you really even eat it if you don't take a picture and post it on Yelp or IG first? LOL! The chopped cheese sandwich was moist, with just the right amount of sauce and basically was a cheeseburger with a spin. Next time, I'm getting raw onions added because what's a burger without onions? Fries were good and the Cuban sandwich made with roast pork, ham, Swiss, mustard and pickles had a hot press to get that crisp outer crust and those grill marks. Sheer perfection! Next trip I'm trying the hot dog, burger and empanada because I feel obligated to try them to have a full understating of just what The Bodega Deli is all about. Be patient, they get busy and if you're a NY'er and looking for the bodega cat sitting on the loaf of bread, it's there's. Just look around and you'll see him. He's a cute little fellow. LOL! Disclaimer: no live animals are actually on the premise but they were clever to include their version of the bodega cat. Now go and get you something and tell me what you think. That is all!

It was ok, this was my first time here. I had the chopped cheese, it was cool but it was dry they were supposed to put the pink sauce on it but they didn't they ran out of lettuce and it didn't have tomato on it either now that I think about it. I had to wait 30 mins for my meal and it wasn't a lot of ppl in there so pack your patience.

It's right on the way to my yoga studio, so it's perfect for a quick in-and-out lunch, but honestly, it's also the kind of place where you end up lingering longer than planned. My usual order is the ABLT on rye with Boar's Head applewood smoked bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Simple, fresh, and consistently delicious every single time. I almost always pair it with the Spinach Bacon salad loaded with spinach, cranberries, goat cheese, tomatoes, toasted pecans, and brown sugar peppered bacon. The portions are huge and definitely shareable. What makes Rhino special is that it's more than just a deli. It's part neighborhood market, part coffee shop, part beer and wine stop, and part community hangout. They've got local products, grab-and-go snacks, fresh sandwiches, beer on tap, wine, outdoor patio seating, and sometimes even live music. It reminds me of the small independent spots I used to love in the Bay Area around Burlingame, San Mateo, and Palo Alto. Relaxed, local, welcoming, and full of personality. The staff is always friendly, and the atmosphere feels genuinely Charlotte. Not overly polished. Not trying too hard. Just good food, good people, and a place that locals clearly love. And if you are visiting North Carolina, you absolutely have to try Cheerwine at least once. It's basically a Carolina rite of passage. Cherry soda lovers will probably be obsessed. Me personally? Not exactly my flavor profile, but people here drink it like water, so clearly they are onto something. Rhino Market is one of those places that makes a city feel like home. Life is too short to not eat well, Charlotte. Get out there.

Well, look no further as Rhino Market will give you plenty of options to start the day off right. We stopped here around lunchtime on a Saturday to grab some breakfast food. As it was already later in the day, I ended up opting for a lunch sandwich instead. The window to order is placed towards the rear of the store. The menu has plenty of breakfast and lunch options. After ordered, you go back to the front counter to pay. It's pretty tough not to grab a snack or two on your way to checkout. They also have some fresh brewed coffee which I tried, and it got me fired up for the morning. I ordered the Chicken Torta and it came out after about 5 minutes. The sandwich was presented perfectly, a beautiful picture of green balanced with some fresh deli meat. First bite, and I instantly fell in love with my lunch sandwich. You won't go wrong with a chicken torta, or any torta for that matter. There's plenty of seating in the deli, at the bar, outside in the common area, or outside in the yard. All spots you may choose to eat have wonderful vibes, especially in you sit inside the restaurant since they had a musician playing live music. All in all, I'm very glad I tried out this place as I can see it entering my rotation of quick eats around the city.
