The first time we got ready-made meals, the chicken piccata, and the baked ziti in addition to cannolis all of which were delicious. The second time we sandwiches in the deli, takeout section, a meatball sub and a Caprese again delicious fresh flavorful, and large. The staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Great place to grab lunch. Ordered egg noodles with marinara sauce, an Italian combo sandwich. All pasta is fresh made at the location. Sauce was tasty and the noodles were light. The problem was they put the plan pasta in first and then they topped with sauce. Therefore the pasta stuck together and no sauce got the bottom of the serving . It came with a nice bread. The combo was on a nice fresh roll and loaded with meat. They were efficient in taking the order and getting the food out to you. read more

This was one of my favorite places I visited in Charlotte during my Thanksgiving vacation week there with friends. It was a quick stop here and we nearly didn't make it but I am very glad we did. It's basically a small quaint Italian grocery store, no produce, no fish, but with fresh baked breads, some sauces and condiments, refrigerated items for which a lot is made in-house (like pasta and pasta dishes), and a deli that makes some great sandwiches and many other menu items. But I also noticed the freshly made pasta - that also caught my eye. The list of pastas were so appetizing, She said the Garlic is the most popular, in the end I opted for the Garlic, Garlic Rosemary and Tomato Basil - a half pound of each. The pasta is refrigerated and whole and they will cut and weigh the pasta there when you order it. I put that in my suitcase and it flew with me back to Austin and I was eager to try them out. have to say their pasta was fabulous. She said the garlic is the most popular, and I would agree - had some good garlic flavor. The Rosemary Garlic was also really good but had less of a garlic flavor, so I just mixed them both together. The Sundried Tomato pasta was also really superb. I would get all 3 of these again in a heartbeat, and I would be so eager to try the rest of their pastas too. Only took 2 minutes in boiling water and it was literally some of the best pasta I have ever made at home. I have bought homemade pastas here in ATX at the Farmer's Market, but they are usually boxed and dried, and they are not nearly as good or flavorful. Plus I don't know of many vendors down here that sell fresh pasta like this place, so I was very happy to have the opportunity to try this place out and their pasta was superb. I would probably be shopping here weekly. I am also a big sandwich fan, and their Meatball Sub is popular here along with the Italian. Of course I had to get both to-go. I like that it comes with avocado already so you don't have to worry about paying extra but $11 for a turkey sandwich is still a little high. I absolutely love Pasta & Provisions, and this review is well overdue as we have been coming here for at least 4 years. The staff there is always helpful, whether it is this location or one of the others. This location is not my most frequented, but I have come here a couple of times. We have only bought from their prepared meals, but everything has been excellent. Our favorites include their different ravioli - cheese, chicken, meat, panchetta, spinach, and mushroom. We pair them with different sauces, with our favorite probably the amatriciana. We also like their take and bake meat and chicken lasagnas. Definitely recommend Pasta and Provisions if you are in the mood for some good Italian food to prepare for a nice meal at home. read more
