First time at this location. We were able to get in last minute, so grateful for that. You can book online, but you can also call as well. Parking in on street, I don't believe you have to pay though. Staff is super nice and welcoming, gave us the run down, provided us with a sandals and a robe. The robe are pretty size inclusive, I only had a little gap, and I'm a 3x. You get a locker and they even have a bathing suit dryer when you're done (pictured) That said, it's a smaller space than the Newport location inside, where the actual pools/saunas are. However, you can still get in and out of the pools with ease because of the railings. There is maybe enough space for two in the plunge pool. Staff came through with some cool eucalyptus towelettes and there is free flavored or non flavored water to drink. The cons for me would be the parking, and the over booking, people were struggling to find places for their robes and cups. I've heard so many great things about The Bodhi Spa so I was super excited to finally do the Water Journey on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 8:00am. My husband and I checked in and was greeted by a friendly staff member who told us our locker number. Then, another staff member told us what we would find in our locker and about the water journey. The locker room was very clean and spacious. I put on my robe on top of my bathing suit and sandals and headed to the water journey space with my reusable water cup. The water journey space includes: 98° Bodhi Glow Mineral Pool, 104° Bodhi Restore Mineral Pool, eucalyptus steam room, cold plunge, full spectrum infrared sauna, traditional finnish dry sauna, and a relaxation area. The Water Journey is 2 hours and 30 minutes and we spent pretty much the full time in the space. There were probably 14 people total in the space at the same time, but it didn't feel crowded. Also, everyone honored the whisper policy and no one was obnoxiously loud. At one point, the staff came around with cold towels. As our time was almost up, we headed to each of our locker rooms and took a shower. The shower had body soap, shampoo, and conditioner. There was also a bathing suit spinner that dries the water out of the swim suit. The water journey was definitely worth $85.00. I had such a relaxing time and can't wait till next time. I made an appointment for my husband for his birthday to get a massage. I called and made the appointment and gave my credit card to reserve the appointment and told her to use that credit card the day off. I called to confirm the day prior and I actually remember that I had a gift card so I gave her the gift card number and I confirmed with the woman that answered the phone and said after the gift card applies please use the card on file. I don't want my husband to pay for the massage as it's his birthday. He will tip in cash. The woman confirmed and she's said absolutely no problem. She was very nice. My husband went and got the massage. The cost of a massage was $160. He said the spa itself was nice. The massage was mediocre, nothing to really like rave home about. He was looking forward to this massage and to be relaxed and wasn't really dissatisfied, but wasn't satisfied. Then he goes to check out and the woman tells him it's $60 when I specifically told them to use the card on file. So my husband is not a confrontational person so of course he paid it and then paid the tip and then of course my husband gets home and won't take money from me so he literally paid for his own massage for his birthday. Bought a couples massage and water journey for my daughter and her bf for her birthday. She said the lack of parking was stressful causing them to be late. The massage was great but they had to share their water journey with about 20 women who looked like they were celebrating something. She said it was loud and crowded. Def not what I was looking for when I bought the gift card. They both have stressful jobs and wanted to destress and relax. Unfortunately this fell way short. For the amount of money I spent, I couldn't be more disappointed! You shouldn't overbook the water experience or allow loud patrons to ruin the experience for others. Aside from losing an item and not receiving a return email or call, the pools are not as clean as I would prefer. I felt disgusted in them and spent most of my time in the steam, sauna and eucalyptus rooms. If they can figure out how to ask the customers not to dip their heads in the water maybe it would be less dirty. I heard about the water journey from a friend and knew I had to experience it for myself, so when my friends asked what I wanted to do for my birthday, I knew this was something that we would all enjoy! I booked a private water journey event and we all cleared our schedules for the day. The water journey books 12+ weeks out, so be mindful of that if you plan on reserving the entire space for your group. We checked in at the desk and met the team that would be checking in on us during our event. They went over some safety information, explained the recommended outline for how to enjoy the water journey, and reminded us of their whisper policy. They shared our assigned locker numbers and led us to the changing area/locker room. Inside the lockers were a robe, a cup so we could keep hydrated with the lemon water they provided, no slip sandals, and a towel. We changed up, put our things in the lockers, showered, and headed into the water journey. I'm glad that we had booked a private event, I'm not sure I would have been very comfortable navigating this space for the first time with people I didn't know. Since we all started at the same time, the various pools and saunas felt a little crowded at times, but after we completed our first cycle, we split up and naturally gravitated back to the pools and saunas that we had enjoyed the most, making each space much less crowded for the remainder of the event. After two hours of enjoying hot mineral pools, cold plunges, saunas, and aromatherapy steam, we were all really relaxed and felt amazing. A staff member came by and passed out cold lemongrass scented facecloths, which was a wonderful touch and just what we needed. The locker/changing rooms have everything you need - including a hair dryer, Q-Tips, hair elastics, and mints. They even offer a small machine that can quickly air dry your wet bathing suit so you don't have to carry it home with you dripping inside your bag. We plan to book another private event sometime in the fall and I want to come check out the express water journey they offer in the evening to see if it's something I can build into my weekly wellness routine. read more

Really not worth it. Honestly a waste of my $200. . The facility is esthetically very pretty but I'm here to be serviced. Had a 60 minute long massage and they lady did whatever she wanted to. She'd ask about pressure. I'd say medium/hard. She'd do it for 30 seconds then go back to light soft touches. Had to ask twice then just stopped. I'd say my heel or my lower back. They'd get 30 second of attention. Then stopped. There was ZERO consistency to the massage. On my left side she would touch my arm for 5 minutes. The right side only 1-2 minutes. Same for other body parts AND she touched my neck/face area after massaging my feet without washing her hands. I also said TOUCH because there was literally just no massage happening. I honestly left more frustrated and was not relaxed during it because it was clear this lady was not going to listen to me. Which stressed me out. My husband was with me. It was a couples massage. And we get them often. Once a month probably. I know a good consistent massage. And this was just a lady rubbing lotion on me to be honest. Paying $100+ for that ($200 for both) is just unacceptable. Came here with my mentor recently for a water journey experience. We were supposedly booked for Tuesday morning, but there were miscommunications and we weren't on the booking. However, Alexis was kind enough to speak to the manager in order to fit us in. We did the 2.5 hours for $85. We arrived a little late, but since the journey was on our own time, it was actually pleasant to be able to have certain pools and saunas to ourselves. The water journey itself was wonderful. I really didn't know what to expect, but after my first round, I was able to get into the zone. My favorite was the eucalyptus steam room and the finnish sauna. Overall, it was a rejuvenating experience. My body felt lighter, as if I just had a massage. Went with a friend for the water experience on a Monday at 11am. It was our first time here. Treasure checked us in and gave us our tour and our lockers and she was really friendly and helpful. I love how they use reusable water glasses with your assigned locked number on it, I've been to spas before where the plastic disposable cups really add up. I found the locked room to be clean, the locker and shower process to be simple. I personally hated the steam room simply because it's so steamy I couldn't see the other people in there with me and I felt like I couldn't breathe! But that's 100% my personal preference and not the staff. The other tubs and saunas I loved and I found really clean. There were probably only 12 other people in the experience with us, the only time I ever had to wait was for the cold plunge but it was fine because you're only in there for 60 seconds. I could have used a little louder music, as it did sound quite in the main tub areas. I was happy to see they had a hairdryer so I didn't have to leave with wet hair. And for $80 I feel like this was a fun experience to relax every few months. The only reason I took away a star was because they don't have a parking area. It's street parking and when I went, the entire street both sides was no parking per police for work to be done. It just stinks to come out of the experience and you're a bit damp and you have to walk a half mile to whatever side street you ditched your car on. There also wasn't much space to wait, only 2 chairs. So I wouldn't recommend coming early. I was waiting for my friend to finish up in the locker room and I felt like I was in the way and blocking other people since the chairs for the "waiting area" are infront of a workers office. Overall I found it cleaner and more tranquil than the competitor water experience in the state and I would definitely return for a little relax day! read more

We loved the water journey! We did this on New Year's Day and it was lovely! Everyone kept to themselves and it was nice that each couple started at different segments of the journey so no one felt over crowded. I would not get a massage here again unfortunately, It wasn't the full 90mins that we booked, it was more like 80. I had filled out a form and told my masseuse that I am really sensitive to hard pressure so light pressure is preferred. My massage was painful, and the next day I had bruises everywhere. So in the future we'll only be coming here for the water journey! Overall I had a good experience here but I'm going to nitpick a few things. Since Bodhi Spa is marketing and pricing themselves as basically an elite spa experience I feel like it's fair to hold them to a high standard. When I arrived for the water journey the small front lobby was pretty chaotic with about 8 people waiting to be seen. The woman at the front desk was working as hard as possible, but they have the previous water journey end and the next water journey start at the same time which means that there are a lot of people waiting to check out and check in all at the same time. I feel like they could do a staggered entry or leave more time in between to resolve this problem, especially since the space is not large. They provide towels, robes, and slip-on sandals but they are all kind of cheap-feeling. The towels are like a chamois you would clean your car with--I was glad I brought my own comfy towel from home. The infrared sauna did not seem to be working very well, it was not hot. All this would be fine if they weren't charging top dollar! Again, absolutely no qualms with the wonderful staff, but it feels like the spa is trying to cut corners a little bit. The water journey itself was very relaxing. 2 hours is about the perfect amount of time--personally I went through the prescribed journey once and then started to freestyle after that. My favorite spot was probably the aromatherapy steam room, truly a unique feature. I felt so calm and centered afterwards. I actually slept really poorly that night because my whole body was sore--they claim that it's releasing toxins. Nevertheless, it was nice to do it right before bed because I definitely went to sleep quickly. Overall, I liked the water journey but I wish it were either a little more luxurious or a little less expensive. It's $85 for two hours or $55 for one hour, and I feel like one hour would be a little rushed. My partner and I were excited to book the "water journey" and arrived for the 8pm "express" version. The staff at the front desk were welcoming enough . . . We were taken back and shown where the locker rooms are but, honestly, because of the "whisper policy" we could barely understand anything our hostess was telling us and she went through things really fast . . . but we just went with it. In the locker room, I had to ask a fellow patron how the lockers worked because I couldn't figure out how to use them, lol. I changed into my bathing suit, took a quick shower, and headed into the pool/sauna area to meet my partner. We were the first ones in the room and we hung our robes, got some fresh water, and entered into the first pool . . . oh my, SOOOO relaxing!! We sad close to each other and whispered VERY quietly into each others ears. He kept having to remind me to lower my voice (I'm bad at whispering lol) because we needed to whisper in case voices carry more than we think or if other people arrived - we didn't want to effect their experience. Well, finally a man, his wife, and his mother came in and . . . well . . . NO ONE explained the whisper policy to them (even though there are signs) and those three (lovely people, really), proceeded to chit chat with each other (and other patrons) as if it was a jacuzzi tub in a Holiday Inn lol. I kind of wish there had been a staff attendant in the room who could have gently reminded (overly loud) patrons to lower their voices . . . I digress. We enjoyed the 98 degree and 104 degree pools very much. I'm not a "cold plunge" girlie, so my boyfriend tried that out and quickly discovered he wasn't either (haha) but he definitely admitted he made his whole body feel alive, so that's neat!! The three saunas were each so different and interesting to experience . . . though I only lasted MAYBE a minute tops in the Eucalyptus sauna, holy moly. We ultimately chose to spend most of our time doing the things there that we enjoyed the most personally - the two warm pools, and it was really nice. At 7:50pm, two hands popped out of the locker room and rang a bell . . . no one (in the entire room - a good 10 people) knew what this meant. We all looked around confused. Was this a 10min warning? Was this letting us know our time was over??? We all just collectively got out of the pools and saunas and migrated to the locker rooms. I wish it had been explained beforehand because if it WAS just a 10min warning, I really would have enjoyed the last 10min of the experience we paid for, ya know? I will say, the locker room has one really cool feature - a bathing suit spinner that, in 8-10 seconds, makes your suit go from sopping wet to just damp, so that was great for packing up items to head out . . . Overall, I felt certain aspects were rushed or not explained (to us or others) and the locker room felt a little chaotic, so after a relaxing experiencing you were thrown back into the "real world" before quite leaving the building - but still, I'd consider going back to enjoy the pools again. Note: I see someone else's review (3-stars) where they stated that they paid $170 for "a little room with just a sauna and a cold plunge" and I really have no idea what they are talking about. I need to give credit where credit is due - it's a very relaxing LARGE area with 3 different pools, 3 different saunas, and chairs for relaxing, as well as an open shower to use between services (which, also wasn't explained to us lol).... But "a little room" with just a sauna and cold plunge pool it was not. read more

I had one of the worst experiences at this spa. My sisters and I are from CT, and we wanted to celebrate our 35th birthday July 1, we heard this place by word of mouth from a friend. The first 10 minutes were okay, an employee came to each guest (10-15 people) to offer a cooling face towel, my sister and I accepted the towel and inform the worker that the smells of the essential oil was burning our eyes, she told us if there were further issues to let us know and then she reminded us of the whispering policy, this was a odd thing to say because we were talking in the same tone as she was, but shrugged it off as a general reminder. About an hour and a half later, everyone in the spa were talking, again it had to be around 10-15 people honestly I did not care, another employee came directly to my sisters and I and said i hear only you three talking and if it continues you all will have to leave, the employee literally scolded us like children, we are 35 and the employees had to be in there early 20's. We all were all confused because while she was scolding us there were people in the next pool was talking. I was also confused out of all the voices she was so called able to identify us, I see if she actually seen us talking, but heard us was BS. Honestly my sisters and I were the only black women there, there was an Asian girl and the rest was white. and believe that the staff were racially bias towards us. My sister and I requested a supervisor, which one of the employees were giving us a hard time providing until we continued to demand it. I WILL NEVER IN MY LIFE GO BACK THERE. I had a 60 minute prenatal Massage with Siobhan. It was amazing. She explained the process and what precautions were needed since I am pregnant. She had the perfect amount of pressure and was thorough to work on each area I wanted to focus on. The Bodhi Spa itself is the perfect spa for me. We each got a 60 min Swedish Massage and they were both fantastic - my mom said it was the best she's ever had! After our massages, we headed to the water journey. This was a fun and relaxing experience where we were able to try all of the spa amenities in our own way. Everything was immaculately clean and the staff was all very nice and attentive. This is a very nice luxury spa. The water journey they have really sets them a part from most spa's. I was on the fence between giving them 3 or 4 stars because I ran into a few problems but some of the issues were out of there hands and overall the manager listened to my feedback and concerns. I went here two days in a row because the two services I wanted was not available on the same day. Day 1: Water Journey- It's extremely beautiful, it's an 8 step cycle of going through the Dead Sea salt jacuzzi, to the steam room, cold plunge, sauna or infrared room, cold plunge, epsom salt jacuzzi. It was great but people kept talking and there's a whisper policy that people clearly didn't read. Also, I didn't know I was suppose to bring my own shorts. I've been to a spa similar to this and they provided everything. So I had to pay $30 to buy a pair of oversized shorts because they ran out of my actual size. Day 2: Signature bodhi massage. Omg I had Suzanne and her and I immediately got each other when I told her about my day 1 and my concerns. She is amazing and the massage was phenomenal. She applied the perfect amount of pressure and the sugar foot rub was perfect. Overall I would recommend this location, I just think with all the text reminders, they should remind people to bring their own bathing suits and try to encourage people to lower their voices a little bit more. Booked for couples massage and couples water journey. Anniversary gift, $450+ all in. Masseuse was great (reason for two stars), otherwise not happy at all. Experience: Booking: I called multiple times, no answer. They have a text service which was slow to reply. I had questions, but they wouldn't take my call or call to communicate to a first time customer with questions about couples packages. One wait time via text was two hours, I had to text them again trying to get a reply. A week later, I was able to get someone to call me after a few hours of waiting. Took a week to book. This generally wasn't frustrating until I came in on a weekday, when on entrance and exit there was 3 to 5 people in reception at all times hanging out. Who clearly could help interested customers. Massage: this was great, expensive in comparison to others with similar quality but it's supposed to be a classy place, so this is fine. We went for an anniversary so that's the point. Water Experience: basically you're paying $75 per person for a hot tub, a 55 degree tub, and a sauna. The same stuff Equinox gives you for free. Hoped to relax, was interrupted 6 times within the first 30 minutes - Someone kicked me out because they failed to tell me I had to wait, so I stood dripping wet for 15 minutes, cold, waiting for them to clean. - Someone came in to give us the instructions which are already written on the wall, who also said we could break the talking rule as long as we remained to be the only two people in there (supposed to be a quiet relaxation spot). - Someone came in and rifled through all the towels after the place was cleaned and talked to us from across the room asking if it was our stuff when we were the only two people there and it was already cleaned. - Someone came in and saw my phone leaning against the wall, and curtly informed me that "we have a zero tolerance cell phone policy" basically threatening to kick us out. Making me get back out of the pool and go back to the locker room, curtly interrupted and scolded for a rule that was not communicated in person, on the intake form, or on the instruction board. - Finally, the manager of the entire place came in and told us, against the other staff member's instruction, that we were not allowed to talk and we were actively breaking the rules intruding on other guests (room was empty). And though nicer than her predecessor, it was still a reprimand on something their staff failed to accurately communicate towards a customer paying $450 to relax who was interrupted now 5 times. When I tried to communicate around the misinformation from the staff to the manager which led to the reprimand, I had to physically show the intake form which they insisted had the information on it. Funny enough, as the manager was reading my phone realizing it wasn't there, even though they insisted, the front desk person managed to try and correct me a third time by reading her copy of the policy to us. Which ended up only being in their personal notes, not on the customer intake form I received. So they corrected me three times and were wrong. And we're unapologetic about it until the very end. They gave me 20% off, but honestly I couldn't really enjoy the water experience at all. Point is to relax, and I was interrupted 5 times, scolded twice about something that was their mistake, my partner's locker had no towel or cup or anything like the other's so she had to keep leaving the area while wet to ask for the stuff she was supposed to already have. $450? Would have maybe been worth it if the quality of staff matched the class of the location. Just disorganized and didn't treat us as customers paying for an expensive service, I felt like a kid getting yelled at for swimming during adult swim and then explaining I'm 18.. except this is supposed to be a top notch spa and they charge up the ass and don't apologize after being wrong. Great experience doing the water journey. There was an accident on 95, so we were going to arrive at 2:05 for our 2pm experience. We called and the text system sent us a message back. They did not give us a hard time and said see you when you get here, some spas have a strict time policy. It was a relief! Parking is tough. It was Saturday so we parked right on Broadway and didn't get a ticket, but the sign says 15 min parking. We were explained the process and brought to the locker room. We were given a locker for our things, a towel, robe, and sandals to use. Bring your bathing suit. The water journey room is warm, smells great, dark but not too dark. You can jump in the process at any step and follow the map through the stations, or do your own thing. The 2 hours is plenty of time. There's cold lemon or cucumber water available, and they come through with cold essential oil infused towels. It was about 4 couples, myself and friend, another single person at a time. Never felt crowded. Locker room has everything to get ready after. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, mints, mouth wash, q tips, hair dryer. I would bring a lotion or oil, that is the only thing I wish I had! We bought our 2-1 special during Christmas, and I think they ran the special one other time during the year too. We did the water journey- overall I really liked the process. It took a while to understand the order of the water journey and which pool was which - it may be helpful to have them numbered or make the labels larger. For those of us with glasses / people with visual impairments it was not easy to identify the pools or the saunas. We had a gift card we received for Christmas 2 for 1 water journey, that is a much more accurate price point for the water journey. The current listed prices do not match the experience. They are very overpriced. Everything appeared to be clean and well kept. The Eucalyptus sauna would have been more enjoyable if it had been tamed down, it was overpowering and refilled evert few minutes never allowing you a chance to catch your breath. read more

I personally was not A fan of the very very cold pool but I did it to be a good sport and to have the experience. After that we went for massages. I think my masseuse was Jason. His work is amazing! He is definitely an asset to the team. He was very attentive and being able to ascertain what was needed at the right time during my massage. We chatted a bit but not too much and I appreciated that he did not have hairy arms. LOL. Okay, I once had an experience elsewhere, where the man had very hairy arms and when he rubbed his forearm up and down my back it was very very scratchy! The ambiance was of course very relaxing, dim lighting and I liked the assortment of teas out in the lounge area after the massage. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I would be back again the next time I visit Rhode Island. FYI, it might be a little bit difficult to keep quiet if you're in a group in the water journey area. Us cousins had a lot of catching up to do. read more

My sister and I did water journey and had signature massages yesterday. Liz at the desk was more than helpful and polite. She suggests services and didn't forget any details and answered all my questions. Ashley the spa assistant was kind and asked us more than once if there was anything we needed during our water journey experience. Margaret was my therapist for my massage and her massage was amazing . Her massage was so relaxing I think I fell asleep. I highly suggest the signature massage. You even receive a gift afterwards and who doesn't like presents. No matter who you see at Bohdi the services will be amazing. My next appt I plan on a facial and massage with Sarah. My friend recommended this spa to me so I decided to try it out. The ambiance is nice and the spa is very aesthetic overall. I got a massage with added pain therapy. My masseuse was male but I felt extremely comfortable and he was very appropriate. I do feel the massage was overpriced for what it was. I expected a lot more heat from the LED and did not feel Fully relaxed or like the massage really was that effective. I essentially did not have any "pain relief" and felt overcharged for a gimmick that did nothing. I'd probably return to try water therapy but would not pay close to $200 for the experience again. Also parking isn't that great, so on top of the massage I also decided to uber there to avoid issues with parking. read more

I called on a Friday and left a voicemail with a specific booking request (date, time, service, number of guests), and was followed up with via text message that said it is automated (but I later learned it's a real person). The text asked me for my info and then "Once we have created your guest profile, a secure link will follow to collect a credit card which is required to complete and finalize your reservation." I did the above on Friday night. I didn't hear anything back so I called again Sunday to follow up and again received a text when the spa did not answer the phone. They then sent the link, I uploaded payment method, and never received any follow up. But it said "complete and finalize my reservation" ... so I figured that meant providing my credit card info was all I needed to do from there. I called the next day to confirm since I still hadn't received a confirmation email or anything -- and they said no, they were then fully booked for the date and time so I wasn't able to have the service. This is very confusing given the way the texting went. On the phone I was told the person texting "didn't do what they were supposed to do" -- but also there was a subtle implication it was my fault by not getting back to them sooner (even though the credit card link was sent after the time the spa is referencing that I took "too long"). They said they have a high call volume which sounds like an issue the spa needs to address rather than relying on what is evidently an unreliable texting system. I'm disappointed; this was for an anniversary gift and with kids in the picture, it's hard to line up a time when the stars align with childcare etc. read more

My neighbor did the water journey and couples massage and was so relaxed he got into a traffic accident. He told me to walk there! I listened to him thank goodness! When I left after an amazing massage with the perfect amount of pressure I was Gumby! At first entry, I was welcomed by a very personable greeter who checked me in and gave me directions. I arrived early so I was able to take advantage of the extremely comfortable chaise lounges in my robe )and I'll fitting sandals - those could improve!) it was so peaceful. Shortly after, my masseuse came for me and then it was an hour of pure bliss! She was very professional and very considerate as I recently had surgery. I never EVER fall asleep during a massage but I came pretty darned close this time! It was THAT good! The next time I come I want to try the water journey and then a massage. This place is amazing! Their massage are great, but the water journey is where it's at. I haven't seen any other places that have something like that. You can stay there for two and a half hours and cycle through different hot tubs, saunas, and they have a eucalyptus steam room and cold plunge too. There's a sequence to it and it is a form of hydrotherapy, so there's some science behind it as well. My friend and I go here for her birthday in November every year and then in May, we hit the Newport location for my birthday. That location has a neat little outdoor area which is best to be enjoyed in the spring and summer months. The one downside is everything is expensive, but that's the name of the game with these places. While I wish they were cheaper, I'm not going to take any points off because their prices are on par with other ones in the area. read more

I had such an amazing experience at the Bodhi Spa. I did the Water Journey express at 8:30 pm yesterday. What a relaxing yet rejuvenating time it was!!
