I've been using the body deli *exclusively* since I stumbled upon their shop a couple of years ago. I'll preface with the fact that I have super sensitive skin and I'm very picky about my skincare. The girl that worked there at the time was SO sweet and funny and though I only left the store with samples at the time, I promptly ordered several items after trying lots of samples. I love their cucumber spray, peptide serum, vitamin C serum, phoenix lift oil and phoenix lift cleansing oil, sage and grapefruit cleanser and rose moisturizer. My mother in law tried the rose moisturizer when visiting and also purchased it. I love that they are locally owned and the products speak for themselves. read more

I have been using their products for more than 25 years. I have tried other products in between, but nothing comes close. The natural scents from essential oils are superior to any other product of tried. My skin loves the moisturizer and the hair products are so gentle and leave a long lasting divine scent. I really love this little store. They carry lots of different kinds of lotions and scrubs and creams to keep your body moist. Something that is very important in this hot and dry climate. They also carry non acidic coffee. They have delicious chocolates that are actually healthy. They have an incredible foot scrubber made from wood with course sand on one side and finer sand on other. Basically a review for the salesperson, she was a delight! Not pushy, very educational. She stood outside and chatted with us for a while when we had a question about our Uber pick up. I loved the ingredients in these products, so pronounceable, not just a long list of chemicals. I have made my own natural skincare products and it's not cheap so you definitely get what you pay for at this store. Lots of organic ingredients too. I have only used one product so far, it was actually one of the three free samples she gave me, the almond milk cleanser which she said would take off my mascara and clean my face. Stopped in while on a work trip and was helped by Gustavo (if I remember his name correctly). He recommended products for me and put together a whole sample package for me to try before buying. I'm an ingredient junkie and was blown away by the clean ingredients and how well each product smelled. I've tried a TON of clean brands but Body Deli is now a staple in my routine. I've had not the best experience at the store on highway 111, with Agusto. He's always rude and very short when I ask questions about the products. The Body Deli on Highway 111 is my new favorite shop in the Desert! I'd read a newspaper article about this shop and today made my way in to pick up a few things to put in Guest Baskets for out of town guests that I am expecting next week. First, let me say that the moment that you enter the shop you are transported into a state of calm by the delicious scent of the products that they carry. Today they were featuring lemongrass in their diffuser and it was amazing! Curtis welcomed my husband and I and since it was our first time in... he gave us an overview of their products and scents. I explained I was looking for a sampler package featuring a selection of their products. I explained this would be for out of town guests. Curtis showed me various sampler packages and I decided on the lemongrass spa sampler package! I also purchased a few lotions, creams, and scrubs for myself! I was interested in some of the masks but did not want to commit to purchasing an entire jar without knowing if it would be something I would like. Curtis was so sweet... He offered me small samples of the oatmeal mask as well as the peaches and cream mask. When we have out of town guests I love welcoming them to their rooms with a basket full of goodies that are LOCAL... I received a sample pack from my sister in law and was immediately so thrilled with these products! I'm a self proclaimed skin care junky and was not expecting much, but immediately ordered a ton of stuff when the discount email came out. I've been very impressed with the vital c serum, liquid vitamin hydra mist, melon peptide creme gel and the mud mask. I got the enzyme peel, I like the feel of my skin after, but it's really sticky (it's made of honey haha) and difficult to put on. Just not sure the result have been worth the effort yet. I love that the products are made from all natural ingredients, I have adult skin that is prone to breakout immediately when it's unhappy with a product and I've had none of that. I have been buying Body Deli products for a long time and love them all. The ingredients are so natural and organic. The melon cleanser is a favourite and the products all seem to work well with my sensitive skin, especially while being in a hot desert climate. During a recent month long stay in the Palm Desert, I felt that the service was extremely friendly at the 111 location relative to the El Paseo store. Similar to another recent reviewer, I had the misfortune to have the unpleasant brunette girl working that day. It was clear that she not well trained in her job, was very disorganized, and unhelpful and she was in a foul mood from the moment we arrived. Fortunately, the people working at the other location were the opposite, making my shopping experience fun and enjoyable. Kudos to them for being upbeat and for clearly caring about serving the public and for making the effort to create a positive experience for their customers. I'll be back to that location! read more

I first heard about The Body Deli from my brother about 5 years ago and have been a loyal customer ever since. I live on the east coast so I have to order online. They make my products fresh when I order them and only use natural preservatives and natural ingredients (i.e. no parabens etc.). My favorite is their solar day cream - it's the only sunscreen I like and I have tested many many! Other sunscreens leave a white cast on my face and have so much dimethicone that my faces get sweaty (and I NEVER sweat on my face otherwise even while exercising). This one does not contain dimethicone and allows my face to breathe and doesn't make me sweat. Also their Solar Day Cream is spf 15 which doesn't seem like much but blocks 92.5% of UVB sun rays and is well enough. Also this sunscreen does not contain oxybenzone, avobenzone, octisalate, octocrylene, homosalate and octinoxate etc. which are harmful to you and make my eyes burn (google the bad side effects including cancer risk if you don't believe me). The only safe ingredients are zinc oxide and titanium dioxide and The Solar Day cream only uses the safe ingredients as well as other really good non-chemical moisturizing ingredients. And some of their products (not the solar day cream) require refrigeration so you know it's fresh stuff! I also love their shampoo which is also made out of natural ingredients. If you order something that needs refrigeration they will send it to you with dry ice. The other thing I love about the Body Deli is that they give you 3 free samples every time you make an order (just write it in the order notes) and if you have questions you can call them and they will answer all of your questions with a lot of patience and in detail. They really care about you and their products and they go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of.
