This restaurant was a perfect place to celebrate my daughter's birthday with a large group of family. Service was excellent considering our size, and they seated us upstairs which was perfect for conversation. The food was great! I love that each entree is the name of a city. Many in our group ordered Naples (their lasagna) and were happy with it. They have a Large selection of wine which paired nicely with my dish, Santorini. We will definitely come back to try their brunch and lunch menus. There is street parking upfront. I recommend making a reservation when in Brevard.

Unfortunately the quality of the food has deteriorated. We used to love to go to this restaurant for brunch, lunch and dinner. These are how the waffles came out on my husbands entrée today. I ordered the French grilled cheese the bread was so tough I could not cut through it the backside of the sandwich was totally burned too! For the prices that we are paying we expect to at least get the food cooked properly. The server did not offer to make it right. Whoever prepared my husband's dish turned the waffles over so he wouldn't see the burnt side, as if we weren't going to know! Will not return, it's too expensive to go out to eat anymore to have this kind of thing happen.

The food and dining experience was amazing. The cozy and welcoming atmosphere was incredible. I had a salad with mozzarella, tomato soup and arinici. Our friends loved the food. I will definitely come back.

Service was perfect. Food was very tasty. Hubby had the Schnitzel, i had the chicken and linguine. Both were delicious. I also had a glass of the red Cotes de Rhone. Hubby had the lager. Both delicious! Will come again.

We went here on a Saturday around noon with a party of 10. Everyone was ordering cocktails and eating brunch. Our waitress was absolutely flawless and we were a needy crew. The drinks were lovely. The bartender even came up when my sister ordered his drink with fernette in it to ensure she like it because "it's a polarizing flavor" my daiquiri was so delicious and the beet martini was an unexpected delight... it is exactly what it claimed to be, a martini with an undertone of earthy beet. The food was top notch. 10 people ordered about 8 different dishes and there wasn't a single complaint among the crowd. My eggs Benedict was spectacular and the bite I had of the shakshuka was spicy and flavorful. Definitely order the mild if you don't want some heat. My sister's salad looked incredible and if I return I want to try it. Don't miss this gem if you find yourself in Brevard. We had ten satisfied customers and we had to wait no time at all for our table! The outside patio looks like a great spot for a spring brunch, sadly our crowd was too big to fit out there but next time that's where you will find me.

Great ambiance and friendly staff! Adorable seating both inside and outdoors. We shared the French toast which was delicious. The mimosas and cocktails were also great. Friendly and fast service. Definitely recommend if you're in the area!

Yummy spot in brevard!! I started with their Brazilian Christmas drink and it was so good I had to get two! All the appetizer were delicious it's hard to even rank them. The arancini was beyond tasty and the balsamic vinegar mixed so well with the other flavors. The fried green tomatoes, my cousins favorite, also did not disappoint. Lastly we had the smoked salmon which I also wanted seconds off! For my main I had the steak frites and it was okay. I have had other dishes in the past and don't know if I would get the steak again knowing how much I enjoy everything else. The service was great!! Our waiter Igor was very helpful and as a Brazilian himself he recommended the cocktail I got and said it was a classic there.

Atmosphere is amazing in the small quaint town of Brevard and the heart of the downtown area for sure Beautiful rustic home look to story house Service was incredible homestyle cooking for sure I had the bore pasta in the sauce, tasted just like my grandmothers. I'm very picky very Irish tasting sauce to me not so much Italian and delicious.!!!

Upstairs dining room brunch crowd starting to fill it up. Plates look delicious

Delicious dinners. Our server was kind of fakely sweet, if you know what I mean. I've seen it often in upscale type restaurants.

"i'm so sorry. they already put the pepperoni on half of the pizza, is that going to be okay?" of course! my friend is vegetarian and dairy-free she wasn't going to throw a fit. we assure her that's fine and she goes back inside to confirm. at this point, the patio has completely filled up with tables. my son is bouncing around demanding his pizza quite loudly, which is not polite or allowed while we are dining out. since there was so much going on, he was having a hard time using his listening ears, so i took him out front to explain to him- once again- that we do not berate or make demands of waitstaff. once he's calmed down, we return to find our friends looking quite puzzled by the three pizzas now on our table instead of the two we ordered. i ask "what's this?" they shake their heads and say they don't know what happened. now since i was not at the table at the time, i am not at liberty to say what happened during this interaction. i'm sure they protested that there was one pizza too many. i feel like the waitress probably apologized and offered to take a pizza off the table. my friends most likely were thinking it would go to waste (they hate food waste they are sustainable farmers) and said something along the lines of, "no! it's fine don't worry we'll eat it." again, i am paraphrasing since i was not present for this interaction. anyways, when our waitress gives my friend the check at the end of our meal, he immediately sees that there are three pizzas on the check and kindly reminds her we only ordered two. this is where things start to take a turn for the worse... cause she's gone a long time and when she returns, she does not look happy about the interaction she is about to have. she sighs and says "chef said since you accepted the pizza you need to pay for it." i interject- "absolutely not. i wasn't even here when the food was dropped. we are not paying another $30 for a pizza we didn't order." what happened next i can only describe as absolutely insane. after a long while, our waitress comes back looking absolutely defeated. "well, they made me say it was my fault, but she took it off your check." and hands my friend the updated bill. "thank you," i reply, "but is absolutely not your fault." enter val gerdes. chef and owner of wood & vine. she has left her station on the line at 7pm on a saturday night to come and confront us herself. "it absolutely isn't her fault," val agrees with me, "so tell me why you would accept a third pizza and eat said pizza and then not expect to pay for it." girl. are your margins that narrow? you can't cover the food cost of a half cheese half pepperoni pizza mistake that YOU made? how much loss is that? maybe $7? i went blind with rage at this point. i have worked with many chefs far more pretentious than you with ACTUAL credentials to back it up and never in their lives would they embarrass/debase themselves the way you did on your patio last night. did it feel good? did you feel powerful? did you go back to the line and gloat? what's it like to feel so insecure? how does it feel to know that your waitstaff hate you because you don't have their backs? yeah. maybe our waitress did mess up with our order. but you girl, you messed up with your life choices. i said i wouldn't be back. val, you said that would be great. i'm glad we agree. so now im going to make it my mission to let everyone know what a silly little loser you are by recommending MUCH better places to eat in the brevard area. all in all- i would recommend avoiding val gerdes and her restaurant at all costs. val- grow up. and have a great day 0/5 stars

It is found tucked behind the building with only a small, letter-sized paper sign marking the entrance. No flashy signage, no obvious storefront, which adds to the appeal if you're into that kind of hunt. Walking up to it late at night can be a little intimidating but it is well lit which I greatly appreciated! Once inside, the space is dimly lit and small, which makes for a genuinely intimate setting. I'd say it's good for a quieter, more conversational vibe rather than a loud night out. We went with the bartender's choice: pick a base liquor, then two words to describe what you're after. I went with vodka and "slightly sweet, refreshing," for $18. The bartender nailed the brief but it wasn't a drink I'd think about again or specifically order by name. Solid execution, forgettable flavor. Service was the real standout. Our bartender was excellent at walking us through the concept and translating vague requests into something that actually worked. That, plus the atmosphere, is enough to bring me back to see what else is on the menu since we made it there just in time for last call so I ended up only having one drink.
