[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very quaint pub like restaurant and bar that is enchanting. Feels like an establishment you would see in London.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The Hand cut fries are great. The sandwich and salads were delicious. The fried seafood options were very good and very plentiful. The cheesecake options were good to finish the evening. The staff were friendly and accommodating. You've got to try the fried green beans for appetizer too. They were amazing.

Back again yesterday and tried some new things. Loved the chicken Caesar wrap, it was a nice light meal and added the homemade chips as well. Husband had the chicken fingers and fries and said the chicken was really good and not greasy at all. The diet cokes were better this time and we also had Sarah as our server, she was so sweet and friendly she seemed like she was all alone and waiting on all of the tables inside and out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outside because it was so busy there wasn't room and she did not forget about us ever.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She made sure our drinks were always filled and we had everything we needed. She even brought us to go drinks when we were done. Definitely wanted to mention her because she really went above and beyond when she was stretched thin and did it with a smile on her face.

Staff were friendly and the food was decent. Nothing crazy and definitely a little expensive for what you got. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tavern itself though was really cute and rustic feeling[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].

Pros: the service was excellent and the food to table time was fast. Everything tasted good. We also enjoyed the corn cob rib appetizer. Cons: [[HIGHLIGHT]]the table for 6 of us felt squished as we were tucked in the front window.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The prices were really high. The black & bleu burger didn't taste like it had any blackened seasoning and the bleu cheese didn't have much flavor either.

Awesome local spot with a wide array of menu items to choose from. They are open for breakfast and lunch and I heard from several regulars that the steaks were great! We stopped in for a quick drink and ordered the candied bacon. The drinks were made well and the bacon had good flavor but was cold and may have sat in the grease for a little longer than needed. The staff were friendly and the restaurant would be perfect for a date night. Overall, a good experience!

Half of the monte cristo sandwich and one of the jalapeno poppers

Stopped in for dinner after a long drive into the area. Best monte cristo ever according to my husband and son. I loved the burger and even though the jalapeno poppers weren't what I was expecting they were absolutely fabulous! Fries and potato salad also superb flavor!! New favorite place to stop!

Came here today for lunch after car shopping !! What a neat gem in the heart of Hendersonville. I kept glancing over at what everyone else was ordering and everything looked amazing. We ordered off the brunch menu--we loved what we ordered. I would come back again!

    Perfectly cooked medium burger!!!!

That being said, we wanted a quieter setting. There was a band playing when we arrived but saw there was outside seating which was perfect because we enjoyed the music that was being played, but again, we wanted to talk. The porch was a perfect place to do both! The music was loud enough we could hear it but quiet enough that we had a wonderful time, drinking our wine/cocktails and hanging out. The inside was also super chill because it's dimly lit and there are two bar areas. If we lived closer, I could see my husband and I coming here often for a date spot or with friends! When we arrived, one of the staff members was helpful because we hadn't been here before so we weren't sure where to order. We went to the bar as instructed and ordered our drinks. My aunt and I both ordered a glass of wine--she had a sav. Blanc and I got the Prosecco. The guys ordered a dark and stormy, the hibiscus house cocktail, and a Manhattan. We all enjoyed our drinks thoroughly! If you are visiting the area, stop by!!

Our water and drinks were empty multiple times. Unfortunately, the food was underwhelming and extremely overpriced, especially for Hendersonville. I ordered the banh mi and wouldn't recommend it. The small sandwich was overwhelmed with mayo and lacked the traditional Vietnamese flavors I was expecting. To make matters worse, it was $18 and didn't even come with a side which felt unreasonable. For that price, I would much rather dine at Postero across the street. The restaurant asked if we were celebrating anything, and we mentioned a major accomplishment for our friend. While the waitress acknowledged it several times which was kind it was disappointing to learn that there was no complimentary dessert or gesture. At that point, repeatedly bringing it up felt unnecessary. Given the high reviews, I expected a much better experience. Unfortunately, I don't see myself returning.

I read it three times, not because I misunderstood it, but because I wanted to confirm that it listed pets and children in that order, which it did, and that tells you something about the sequence of problems they've encountered on the lawn, though I've decided not to find out what exactly. With that said, the lawn is not exactly a lawn at all, unless you consider granite rocks as a lawn, which the residents of Elberton, Georgia do as it is considered the "Granite Capital of the World." Elberton this is not. This rocky lawn is to be filled with Bichon Frisés and children in ball caps, and on the afternoon I visited it was doing exactly that. There was a dog near the covered bar area moving through the patio with the serenity of an animal who has never once been told that other people exist. His owner stood nearby holding a beer and looking proud, which is a face I recognized, because I have a son and have stood next to him with that exact expression at least twice in public places where I should have known better. I had the Radiant Positivity, a sour ale at 6%, which sounds like something printed above a middle school guidance counselor's desk but turned out to be genuinely good, all grapefruit and a tartness that knew when to stop. I thought about ordering the Kamp Jam, a 4% light lager described as tasting like shared laughter and the unbreakable bonds of friendship, and decided I wasn't there yet. The owners opened this place in 2014 and have expanded it three times since, which tells you something about Greer that it probably already knows about itself but that the rest of the area is still catching up on. Consequentially, Greer itself has also expanded its waistline 3 times since 2014 but that's a discussion for another time. I thought about asking about the Southern Sanctum, an American Tripel, but the afternoon had reached the evening and a point where a Tripel felt like a commitment that deserved more deliberation than I had left in me. I paid my tab, which was reasonable in a way that surprised me given the quality of everything, said goodbye to nobody in particular, and drove home thinking about the Kamp Jam, and whether the unbreakable bonds of friendship were something I'd get to eventually.

I ordered a Smithwick's ale and my wife got a Diet Coke. A waitress who spent a fair amount of time chit chatting with the table next to us while we waited, finally asked what we wanted for lunch. I love their corned beef and cabbage soup I ordered a bowl of that, and I ordered the fish sandwich with a side of zesty fried pickles and jalapeños, my wife ordered the traditional Fish and chips. 3 items right easy enough to remember? Took about 15 to 20 minutes for our food to come out the waitress set my wife's fish and chips in front of her. She set my fish sandwich in front of me, and said will there be anything else? I said yes please scratch the soup I ordered, the shocked look on her face said it all, "I'll go get it right now", um NO I wanted an appetizer, not soup and sandwich. 2 of 3 items The fish and chips were as good as they always are, however, the fish sandwich was below par and had a weird Spice in the batter that I didn't care for. I ate half of it and left the rest. my wife was full after eating one of the two pieces of fish so I finished off the other piece. The fries used to be steak cut, they used to be great. Now they went to some weird curly thin cut, which are easily overcooked. In my opinion the spicy pickles and jalapeños were dry and over fried. The bill came to $42, for which I would have left a 18% tip $7.5, divide that by 3 (items) I left $5 tip, 2 out of 3. I don't think we'll be coming back. So sad we used to love this place. But in this day and age, no one cares.
