We have been to this restaurant several times. This year was our second Valentine's Day dinner here and food was delicious. We always crave the crab crakes, which are a special treat when they have them. We had the Gorgonzola gnocchi, which just melts in your mouth. They are so creamy. We both had the lobster tail entree. The entire meal was exceptional as well as the service. Hope that the chef will be able to open the restaurant on a full-time basis. read more

Reservations where easy to get. We were able to walk from our AirBnB. The atmosphere was perfection. The food was great. We didn't see any desert on the menu nor were we offered- that would have been the cherry on top. Overall we had a wonderful time! read more

I have eaten at this restaurant twice a month for years, usually spending about $100 a person if a cocktail and a glass of wine or no cocktail and a bottle of wine were on my dining menu for the evening. A recent policy change will keep me away. The new policy does not allow one time to enjoy a full meal before you are forced to vacate your table for the next feeding. If you don't order a cocktail or dessert and you are a fast eater, you might leave when you are not still chewing. Before now, I would have given them a 4 or 5. Vescovo is a great little place in Brevard for Italian food, nice wine and cocktails. Their pasta dishes were highlights for me, both the creamy, dreamy gorgonzola gnocchi and the Cacio E. Peppe pasta that tastes freshly made. The wedge salad makes a nice side dish. The Triennes is a refreshing dry rose that goes great with pasta. At the bar they make a few interesting cocktails. I'm a whiskey cocktail lover, and I tried the Kumquat and an Old Fashioned, both nicely done. The Kumquat cocktail is made with ginger-infused bourbon, kumquat-flavored syrup, soda, and muddled lime and basil; it's delicious! What a charming, intimate, chef-owned Italian restaurant! We celebrated my birthday here and I've not had a meal this amazing in a long time. Cozy interior, friendly and knowledgeable staff make an immediate positive impression. Reservations are best due to the limited seating and prepared to order food. First of all, the bread was served warm and fresh with a plate of roasted garlic in olive oil for dipping. We had two appetizers and both were so delicious that we used the bread to clean the plates! The gnocchi in Gorgonzola cream - heavenly! The filet meatballs were also fabulous. We had the special of fried artichoke hearts with a Dijon sauce - also incredible. We decided to split an entree after all this goodness - LOL. The pasta special was lasagna and I have to say, it was the very best I've ever had - in my LIFE. The flavors and quality of every dish were spot on - the chef and kitchen staff did a phenomenal job. The desserts sounded lovely but we were too full. Nice meal in an intimate setting. We were greeted and promptly seated. The menu is limited, but everything we ordered was well prepared. Our waitress mentioned that the Caesar salad was generous and recommended that we share. It was delicious! Artichoke appetizer was good, too. Best meal I've had in a long time. The fried artichokes were yummy with a lovely romesco sauce, the shaved Brussel sprout, Brie, apple and walnut salad was huge. We had the gnocchi appetizer with Gorgonzola cream sauce was perfectly cooked. We also tried the Caco de Pepi pasta it was good, but I've had better. The bread with olive oil and buttery roasted garlic was a nice surprise. Just wish they hadn't sat us so near the kitchen when they were slow the music in the dining area and kitchen competed! I was able to dine last minute at Vescovo last night and as always was not disappointed. The crab bisque was a happy new addition to the menu since my last visit and I'm sure I will dream about it! The service were top notch and even with my indecisive ordering (how do you pick!?) everything came out in perfect timing. I made space for dessert and was equally pleased there. This place has a fantastic kitchen. The food comes out hot, fresh, perfectly seasoned and very tasty. The food was very well done. The flavors were very good as well. The service was good. They allowed us to taste three wines before we chose the wine we wanted for dinner. There was no issue with that. I am actually amazed how well they run their kitchen. The kitchen was actually very clean (we were seated in the back and could see the kitchen). We absolutely loved this place!! We had the gnocchi with Gorgonzola cream sauce and burrata salad. The Gorgonzola was not very strong and we loved it. Again everything was so fresh. For main course we had the chicken parm and pork chop. We literally licked the plates. I was advised by a friend to try Vescovo and I was not disappointed! This restaurant is first class and then some. I ordered a pork chop that was easily the best I've had and at 73, that's saying something! All the others at my table raved about their selections as well. When you step inside of Vescovo, you don't feel like you're in the little town of Brevard anymore! Inside is intimate and beautifully designed while sitting outside in the bistro alley brings a smile to my face every time I see the wall mural. Chef Trey does food right, with no apologies :) The meatballs and calamari are hands down my go to apps and the wine selection is top notch! Most of the staff has been there from the beginning and have made it through THE most challenging year in the restaurant industry ever. We were about to order dessert and after dinner drinks when the waitress informed us that we had to vacate the table in ten minutes because we were allowed only 90 minutes at the table! Industry standard is 2 hours per seating. Especially when four or more patrons are dining. Vescovo should have told us of their policy when we booked our reservation! Totally unacceptable! Cannot say enough good things about a Vescovo! My wife and I visited Brevard for our anniversary and were looking for a nice place to have a romantic dinner. Vescovo was recommended and we see why now. The staff was extremely warm and welcoming. We started with an order of the meatballs in vodka cream sauce that were perfect. My wife had the filet and had the rack of lamb chops. Both were well seasoned and cooked exactly to order. We will definitely return the next time we are in the area! read more

What a gem. We dropped in on a whim while driving through the area based on Yelp reviews. Calamari and pasta were amazing! Saccetelli (sp?) was out of this world, and the Craft cocktails were delicious. The meatballs were undercooked and the tiramisu was slightly frozen however. I'm sure with the decreased capacity limits it makes things a challenge to balance costs and diners. But we Really didn't care it was just so nice to be out! I went in a group of 5 friends, all professors, and we were looking forward to our dinner. In the process, there were multiple instances where items were sent back either to the bar or the kitchen. In the case of the drink, it was simply the variations of ginger beer, some is more bubbly than another. They happily provided me with an alternate. Meals were ordered with vegetable substitutions. When the food came to the table, two meals were cooked too rare from how they were ordered. They were both sent back and one mentioned that the mashed potatoes were too salty for her and asked for an alternative vegetable. When both plates were brought back to the table, cooked now to the level that they were ordered, the waitress leaned into my friend who asked for a vegetable sub and said, "I can't switch out the mashed potatoes for asparagus, there's a price difference." Everyone at the table couldn't believe we had heard this. Also, the person requesting the switch was a person of color. And this is what prompted this review - not the brand of ginger beer or the kitchen not cooking the food enough for the customer. But rather, for the behavior and different treatment that was extended for the exact same requests that had been responded to without any message. And it got worse from there. After we all confirmed that was what she had said because it was so unbelieveable, one of my friends politely called the waitress back to the table to ask why she treated her one way and her friend another. The response was to apologize to the person talking to her but not the person she had treated differently. And then to again repeat that asparagus costs more than potatoes. Since there had only been a request for a vegetable substitute not a specific request for asparagus we could not figure out why she continued to dig a hole for herself since without question she had quickly provided substitutions for everyone else BUT not for our one friend. She finally asked our friend if she would accept the spinach. Which was a yes of course. Then when delivered to the table she decided that it was her place to say "In the future, you need to..." to which it became the end of the meal. She was asked to apologize to which she said, "I'm sorry you took offense, I would never intentionally offend I'm in the hospitality industry..." It was the last time we're going to spend our money there and we've shared this incident with a number of our friends who come here every summer and are always looking for a new place to eat good food. They have no interest in eating there now no matter how good the food is. We'll spend our money where patrons are treated equally and fairly. This is not that place for us. read more

Excellent Cesar with nice lemon hints, Double cut Lamb chops with whipped parsnips, Nicely seasoned an prepared to order. Blacked Redfish Very fresh and well spiced. Incredible Diver Scallops Seared with a touch of heat on a bed of creamy linguine That creates an incredible dish.
