I was recommended to try this place by a great server who also works at the Spokane Airport bar, and tried it on my way out of town. The flatbread-style pizza was delicious. Perfect donenes, great tasting dough and toppings on the Thai Me Up, and the house salad with Bleu cheese was fresh and full of all the good ruffage. The one server who was working seemed like he didnt want to be there, but did his job nonetheless with some coaxing and extra "pretty pleases". The music selection was a great mix of early 2000s alt and indie rock, spacious clean interior with a nice outdoor patio. Great place, would have been 5 stars if not for the dud service from the bartender, hopefully I just caught them on an off day staffing-wise because this place is awesome otherwise. Will be back to try other entrees next time I am in town. read more

Went to The Boiler Room for my niece's 18th birthday dinner the other night and was very disappointed. I arrived about 10 minutes after most people had arrived. I sat at the table and there was no water. The two small pitchers of water were empty. I asked the server for some water and a draft beer. 1/2 hour later, both were delivered. The building was uncomfortably warm. The large table that was behind us was dirty when we arrived and remained dirty when we left. Service was slow and food was inconsistent. My Sister-in-law ordered "The Works" pizza and the cheesy bread. Both looked perfectly fine. My niece ordered the BBQ Chicken pizza and it was inedible. It was 75% charred (burnt) and only a few pieces could she eat. My Dad ordered the Chicken Bacon Artichoke pizza. It had very little bacon, and was sooooo dry. Another family member ordered their Charcuterie board, that also came with a pretzel. The pretzel was another positive. The sauces (cheese and mustard) offered were not that great. The charcuterie itself was okay. The meats were all cut funny. One end would be paper-thin and the other would be thick. The olives were also warm. I ordered the Blackened Chicken Caesar wrap, which was good and for $2 got the side salad instead of their "potato wedges." When it was delivered, there was no salad. There was ranch dressing and "potato wedges." The wrap was apparently rolled on the same surface as their overcooked pizzas, because my hands were black from ash. I had no napkin to clean the soot from my hands. I did eventually get a napkin and the salad, which I took home for lunch the next day. Also, the potato wedges are like fried breakfast potatoes. My brother ordered a salad, which he got without any silverware to eat it. The menu indicates you're going to get about a 25% char on their pizzas. My Sister-in-law's Mom thinks that just means that you should expect your pizza to be overcooked. I have eaten pizzas all over and have had many wood fired pizzas that aren't charred as much as most of these were. The only two that enjoyed their meals were my Aunt and Uncle. They especially enjoyed their brownie dessert. read more

The cocktail I ordered knocked me out on an empty stomach and it was $4.50 during happy hour so it'd say that's worth it!! Hadn't been back in about 2 years and Went back the other day for there Thursday night Trivia and it was amazing! I personally think the restaurant has gotten even better. I got their pepperoni pizza with multiple sides of ranch (what can I say yhe heart wants what it wants) the ranch was amazing! The sauce was amazing and the pizza was cooked perfectly. Food came out quick, hot and delicious. Our waitress was sweet and helped make sure she got our order taken before trivia. I loved that they opened up the patio for trivia. I will def be going back soon to check out their patio. My drink was delicious but my friend didn't love hers. Everyone loved their food though!!! also there half a pizza and salad deal rocks will also be back for that!!!! read more

Haven't been for a while and decided to give their $12 Tuesday pizza special a try. We waited for quite some time and nobody came to the table. Waited some more and then heard another table yelling to a waitress they were ready to order. We finally threw in the towel and left. Others that came in around the same time left as well for the same reason. Too bad as the last visit was a good one. We were experiencing rolling blackouts tonight and our house was so hot from the high temps, that we decided to go out. When we got there it took about 10min for someone to even greet us. Once they finally did we waited another 5-10min for a table, which was not bad. Once we sat it was all downhill. Took about 15min for waters. When ready, we placed our order: two pizzas, one Greek goat and one the works, two kids cheese pizzas, a chicken poppers, and a half Thai salad add chicken. We waited for 25-30min, no food. She didn't even come back and refill our waters. It was 110° outside, probably 89° inside the restaurant, and we can't even get water. Finally our waitress comes back to refill after about 40min and I asked if she knew how much longer it would be on the food. We had three kids with us, one of which is 2, time is sensitive at this point. She says she will check and walks away. She goes to the computer and is checking for our order. I see her click on our table and then PUT THE ORDER IN. Then she doesn't even came back to us - she walks off to take care of something else. When she finally comes back she says "they just came out of the oven and will be right out" 5-10 min later..... we see lots of pizza go out to other tables, but not us. Five min after that she brings me my salad and says "salad first and then the pizzas will come"..... another 10min later.. the rest of the food finally comes. Bottom line she forgot to put the order in, didn't take responsibility, just avoided our table and played it off like it would be right there. The pizza wasn't anything to write home about - the eatability of the was terrible - you could barely pick it up without the toppings all falling off. The sauce was bland, the crust was soggy/greasy and burnt at the same time, none of us cared for their ranch, and the chicken on my Thai chicken salad was literally frozen grilled foster farms chicken strips that they reheat (and overcook) and throw on a salad. The dressing on the salad was decent though. This was a terrible experience and we will not be returning. read more

Stopped by for Happy Hour from 3-6pm. They were super busy but our server, Garrison, was on top of our order. Draft beer, Blood Orange Margarita, personal Hawaiian pizza, and the house Strawberry Basil salad. Soooo good! There's a lot of energy in this place, which is nice. I hadn't had a Blood Orange Margarita before, but it's now a new favorite. Great food, great service by Garrison, even if the kitchen was super slow getting things out. read more

Our waiter was borderline rude. He asked if he could get us started with drinks and we said that we actually knew what we wanted to order and he said "well I'm going to get you started with drinks and come back," which is something I've never experienced before. I asked if it was possible to get a pizza with "just pesto, chicken, and mozzarella." Those are the exact words I used. This didn't seem, to me, like it would be a big deal as they offer those ingredients on separate pizzas- but he was visibly irritated with me for this request. Most pizza places take custom orders, do they not? Also- if the answer is 'no,' that's fine. But just say that rather than do it with all this irritation. So, he brings out a pizza that has a red sauce base, chicken, mozzarella, and pesto drizzled on top. This was just so odd to me, because it's like two sauces? So, I told him that unfortunately I didn't want marinara as well- and could I get it with just pesto base, chicken, and mozzarella. He said "Well that seems like it would be pretty overpowering but if that's what you want, fine." Which I feel is just quite rude of a waiter to talk negatively about someone's order like that. And if a pesto base is so overpowering why do they offer it on one of their signature pizzas? He then asks if we want to box up the original pizza because otherwise he's just going to throw it away, which sounds like a nice thing to say but honestly the way he said it seemed so... judgmental. Like, how dare I waste food, when in reality he took my order incorrectly. He did bring me the correct pizza, and in fairness it was quite good (my reason for 2 stars instead of 1.) However, we ordered loaded potatoes of some sort for an appetizer that were so undercooked I couldn't even cut them with my fork. But we had the Chicken in a Blanket which was a bit unique and quite good. Overall we probably won't be vying for a table here again anytime soon. read more

Had a lovely lunch at the Boiler Room! It was pretty empty inside so service was fast. I got a Lemon Basil Hard Cider and their lunch special of a half salad and half pizza for $12. The Boiler Reduction pizza was good but I didn't love the onions as much as I thought I would. Perhaps onions on pizza is not my thing. The House Salad with Gorgonzola ranch was nice. Considering I don't eat a ton, these were perfect portions for me and at a great price too! I'd definitely come back here for lunch again. read more

The best happy hour in town. Their flatbread is amazing, and their wings are the best, and always the best service.

Watch out for this place and the owner. The owner is a jerk that caters to his "regulars" who sit around the bar drinking and ruining the dinner vibe. They advertise bingo on Mondays but cancel or ignore it without warning. Also, they block off sections of the restaurant for "reserved" just to leave it empty all night. Absolutely one of the best wood fired pizzas I've had in a really long time. Highly recommend the wings too!!! The bartender whipped up perfect tasting drinks and the waitress was attentive and friendly. It was Clean and had wonderful outdoor area. We will be back for sure!!! read more

This was our first time visiting the Boiler Room. It's clean & spacious with plenty of seating. We were greeted right away & our server, Amber, was very attentive. We arrived shortly after opening & it wasn't too busy but, I imagine in the summertime, the restaurant & patio would be jumping. They have roll-up garage doors to extend the space. Very cool. We had the Carnivore pizza, cheesy bread & Hawaiian pizza. All were great & cooked in a wood-fired oven. All in all, we had a terrific time & will return the next time we are in the neighborhood. Limited menu so this is a great place for drinks and meeting friends. Its a typical industrial type bar. Bathrooms were decent. Service was a bit slow but thats understandable since there was one server. However, they should staff more people since there was quite a rush in there. Lunch items are great. First time swinging in for pizza, and yum!! We tried Brussels and bacon for appetizer. How can you ever go wrong with bacon? The works pizza has pepperoni, crimini mushrooms, black olive and Italian sausage. The boiler reduction has caramelized onions, Italian sausage and an olive oil base. Crust was made from corn meal so its light and has a slight chew. For refreshing beverages after a hike up the summit of MT Spokane, we opted for the Warrior Press (blood orange) and (Huckleberry which our server added some Huckleberry puree to it), both were tasty, refreshing, summer flavors. Looking forward to swinging in again and trying some of the other pizzas on the menu (like there new Cuban!!!) read more

My family and I visited during a very slow time. But it seemed like there weren't enough servers. Everything we were trying to order was not available. The pizza was very generic and nothing special. Solid service, good food, and a nice atmosphere; for me the modest rating simply comes down to value. Pizzas run about $20 and are meager in size. As a large fella, I could easily finish one off in a single sitting including crumbs, crust, toppings that happened to hit the floor, and maybe a stray napkin that got caught up in the frenzy to boot. And yes, sad but true, I'd still be scanning around afterward for a bit more to fill my pie hole. Given the small size of the pizzas, the value gap to me would have to be made up for either in abundance of toppings, or a remarkable dining atmosphere. Toppings are on the scant / artsy side, which is fine for truffles and saffron, but inexplicable for pork sausage, mushrooms and cheese given the prices. The atmosphere is chill but not worthy of the price tag IMHO. We dined on the patio and right behind us was basically this gravel dumping ground for broken chairs, random sheets of metal, pipes, sections of fencing and so forth. Makes not a lick of difference to me usually, but at this price point the market justifies some pretty vine-strewn fencing to block the view of the restaurant's utility area, or maybe a big dumb mural with all of Spokane's worst intersections written out in spunky cursive script or something. The location is basically in this plopped down parking lot / commercial sub-divison which to our modern eyes is ostensibly to give off the feel of a "shopping village" or something, but the overall vibe hits this curmudgeon more like freshly unrolled astroturf. Again, not a problem, but prices need to reflect this. If I can get small "craft" pizza for $16 in a genuinely well-manicured and pleasant setting elsewhere in Spokane, I'd expect a $20 craft pizza in a wrap-around strip mall to freaking huge. Sorry, lots of complaining. The pizza is actually good. Maybe even really good. Service was friendly and prompt. I believe they have happy hour on Tuesdays where pizzas are half price, which would be outstanding. But who's going out for pizza at 3pm on a Tuesday? Moreover, if they can cut the cost in half and still ostensibly make ends meet, then to me it just goes back to how inflated the prices are the rest of the time. read more

Ordered delivery via door dash tonight for dinner. Everything was PERFECT! Our 3 pizzas included one kids pizza, a double pepperoni and one gluten free crust pizza. Also ordered wings with extra Gorgonzola ranch to dip pizza crust in. Everything was there accounted for! My biggest pet peeve is when I order delivery and they forget the the sauces or dressings. I am also really happy to say that this was the first time that I have tried their gluten free crust. It was very delicious!
