My friends and I decided to participate in the Quiet Book Club at the Book Cellar on Sunday evening. We checked in with the store's owner upon arrival and were able to browse books or bring our own to read. In the cafe you could also order sandwiches, snacks, and drinks. Man - this spot gotta be theee dopest spot in Conyers. Firstly, it's Black and Women-owned, so i'm unsurprised at its layered utility - it's a haven for reflection, sustenance, enlightenment, and peace. The décor is remarkable - it's clear that the owners were very intentional about making the space feel like art, but also welcoming. Bold colors with lots of windows for natural light, and thoughtfully curated mini spaces throughout the café really make you feel like you're escaping the outside world while letting the sun shine in. And the food - scrumptious. The tomato bisque soup is made fresh onsite and from scratch, and is so delightful. i also have enjoyed their salads and teas. Basically - get thee to The Book Cellar. It's a great spot for catching up with a good friend, reading a new (or old) book, eating yummy food while lounging, and essentially giving yourself a few moments of calm in a space that feels like it was curated for your nervous system. 10/10 recommend. read more

I came in today just wanting to browse around and take a look at the local bookstore. It is so cute. They have different genre section off, obviously even the season they're decorated for the holidays. The decor is pleasant to me. They have its beautiful green wall with some photos in their café. That's towards the back with nice seating oh beautiful red couch in front of the green wall that has gold accents on it . They have little fireplaces and two of the rooms. They also have a seating area in the café from what I saw when you walk in and towards your left, there's another area with some seating, but I'm not sure if that's where they have everybody sit for book clubs that they do or for something else everybody was very pleasant and Helpful For this week. They're doing a buy one get 1/2 of on everything in the store. I would definitely return to support given. There are a small business. I also am intrigued by the book clubs that they have which include romance historical romance, fantasy mystery and I think another one or two more. If you're in the area now sometime to sit down and read a book support with some purchases or you just would like a light bite in their café or a drink. Yes, they have some alcoholic situations going on. I would say give it a try stop by. read more

We just tried out this new book/coffee shop (in the Victorian house that used to be Michaelangelo's) and lovvvvved it! Many rooms decorated to be comfy lounge spots. Über chill vibe. Excellent service. Fabulous vintage chandeliers for lighting. I had a sugar free caramel latte that was perfect. The chicken salad on croissant was delicious, as were the cookies and the Midnight Mocha and peach smoothie my friends tried. Reasonable pricing. No sense of hurry. People hanging out reading. Parking is decent. This place is tucked away in Conyers and when I tell you it is totally cute! Not only can you shop for books but you can sit down chill and relax to read your new book because they have a coffee shop and a cafe'. They have a great selection of all sorts. Prices are reasonable and they also offer previously used books for sale. If you are looking for a specific book they are willing to look it up and order it for you. This is one of my favorite places in Conyers! Every time I go to The Book Cellar I'm greeted warmly and made to feel like I belong! There is a great selection of books and if they don't have it, they'll order it for you! The monthly book clubs are fun and entertaining. The books are diverse and many genres are covered. My sister and I took a road trip specifically to visit The Book Cellar. It did not disappoint! The house, itself is wonderful just to look at and wander around. Tamara Gatson has done a beautiful job with the house and its decor. She uses books for a lot of the decor. My sister and I spent over 3 hours there perusing the book shelves, eating and chatting in the cafe. The cafe is wonderfully decorated and extremely comfortable to sit and read, chat with friends or just sit and ponder life. My sister and I purchased a fruit and cheese tray which was yummy. The staff of both the cafe and the book cellar were extremely helpful. We actually got to meet Tamara Gatson who is a lovely, personable, helpful and generous woman. She gave us both a gift as we were leaving. We will definitely go back. I wish that I lived closer ( I live over 2hours away) so that I could participate in all the events that are offered by the Book Cellar. Thanks for a great experience. I highly recommend! read more

This small town store has big town inventory. It's quaint and you can easily get lost for hours looking (one of my favorite pastimes). The staff is friendly and oh so very helpful. This is my new guilty pleasure. Come and escape like I did. read more

I had an amazing experience at The Book Cellar. The staff was absolutely fantastic and they were very helpful. I love the decor and the variety of books that are available. I love that the bookstore has a large selection of books written by black authors. It makes me so happy to see representation. I bought one of the books I had on my "to be read" list. This establishment gets a five-star rating from me. The visit was a Valentine Day treat from my daughter. There is ample parking, and the venue is very clean and invites you to relax and browse several rooms of books and a few keepsakes. The Cafe experience was excellent.
