Extremely well service!! Our server was so great. Unfortunately, I did not get her name, but let this be known that my worst experience is not the server's fault nor is it the kitchen's fault. I would say this situation would fall on management. We had the worst experience we have ever had while eating out at a restaurant. We were sat on the right side of the restaurant which is where their biggest party table might be. That's fine. What ruined our night was that we couldn't have a conversation face to face, the width of a booth table, because of the extremely obnoxious party that sat near. There were no other tables to move to, as I went scouring the restaurant on the other side to find. Again, the staff was excellent except for I feel as if the manager should have intervened and asked that table to please lower their voices and laughter! When we left the restaurant, we felt as if we had been to a concert. That deafening feeling in our ears is what we left with. The tables around us were looking at said table and making remarks amongst themselves at their own table. On another note, we noticed a few of the members of the table cutting up with the staff which ultimately led to our decision not to bring up the issue to the waitress. Again, it wasn't her fault. As someone in the service industry, I blame management for not intervening. It was obviously an issue amongst the entire right side of the restaurant. We hope to see something done in the future if this continues to be an issue. Maybe cut them off on alcohol and tell them to keep the obnoxious obscene behavior at home. read more

The Border is the best Mexican place around! After eating here, no other Mexican restaurant comes close to how good this one is. The staff are always so kind and the food is always delicious! Great food friendly service! We arrived at 6:30 Friday and they were quite busy. They found us seats at the bar as requested. Cold Amber Dos Equis were in order and Filipe was on it. Filipe was very helpful with the expansive menu. FE had the chicken fajita taco salad. She really enjoyed and lots of chicken. I had the carnitas which were tender and spiced well. Lots of food. Would recommend! Saturday update: came back had grande Dos Equis and light dinner... we thought portions are great! DW had supreme nachos and I had chicken soup and 1 Mexican taco. Huge plate of nachos mostly everything but chips (usually chips overwhelm the dish not here). Chicken soup came in a much bigger bowl than expected. The border is good. If you want authentic Mexican food you're getting close. For the area, I understand however, cause they cater to the locals the service is friendly and it's a good atmosphere. Visited here for the first time tonight with my family. (Husband and 3 kids). Not sure what the atmosphere is like other nights, but if your looking for family friendly this is NOT it. This place was LOUD and just too much happening. We couldn't get out fast enough. We sat on the patio thinking that would be enjoyable with the nice weather and patio lights. Wrong the table beside us was so loud we had to scream to converse among our own table. Inside wasn't any better with a loud DJ. Pretty decent Mexican restaurant, especially for the area. I came here for dine in during covid 19, and the staff is taking safety and health precautions very seriously. My waiter wore a mask and provided us with clean glasses for each refill. For my meal I got Tacos Al Pastor with pico de gallo instead of rice. The tacos were juicy and seemed very authentic. Overall a nice place to go with a clean environment. Also I took a picture of the restroom because I was so impressed with the cleanliness and atmosphere. read more

I called and ordered the equivalent of a loco rice at this restaurant. I've never been there so I assumed it was like every other Mexican restaurant I had been to and it only came with chicken. When I called the person that took my order just said what they call it (I can't remember) and said it was the same so I said okay. I went to pick it up got it home and it was filled with shrimp. I called since I have an allergy to shrimp and was never told it had shrimp in it asked if They could do anything. The person on the phone said they wouldn't help me and I ordered it so it was my fault. Im sorry I didn't expect shrimp considering I've never ate there and never had shrimp on loco rice. Restaurant is a Tex-Mex grill connected to the end of a Kroger shopping center. In a very small town it is one of two long surviving Tex-Mex style establishments. The other is a larger business that focuses more on the drinks setting an atmosphere that is better for large groups to eat passable food while slamming back margaritas. Fortunately, The Border serves as a smaller, more quiet place that has a bit more focus on its food and service. The prices are average for the town with few meals exceeding $10. You are served chips/salsa upon being seated which is typical. The menu is complete having all the normal Tex-Mex choices. They lack many real specialty dishes that you can't find everywhere else, but I find that they prepare the standards better than local competition (Tamales, Chili Colorado, Fajitas, etc). I couldn't say I'd travel to visit the restaurant as there are better choices outside of town, but if you are in Cedartown and you are feeling Tex-Mex this is the place to take your family. read more

That same dish is listed as a large bowl but should be listed as small as it is far from large, maybe 2 servings total. Im not entirely sure what that tamale was, but oof.
