If you're looking for a place where a to-go order takes nearly an hour and half your party's orders are completely wrong, this is your spot. The restaurant was only about one-third full, yet employees seemed to be standing around bored out of their minds. To make matters worse, my food arrived with hair (that's plural) in it. Apparently queso con pelo is their specialty. I wasn't willing to wait another hour for them to remake the orders correctly. The most infuriating part was that other people--whether customers, employees, or family members of the staff--decided to involve themselves in the situation. Yeah, I had choice words for the server that took our order and I smashed a styrofoam container full of cheese and mystery meat on the counter. But if you are not involved, STFU and mind your own business. One grabbed my arm and another tried to pull the door shut on me to prevent me from leaving. FAFO is a thing, ese. First, after waiting nearly an hour for our order, we were treated to the surprise bonus of... getting the wrong food. Apparently "carnitas" now means shredded BBQ-style pork instead of the cubed pork we ordered. Good to know! The corn tortillas from the other meal tasted rancid, and even the tortilla chips had that unmistakable "old oil" flavor -- the kind that makes you question how long that fryer has been part of the furniture. The couple we were dining with had an equally disappointing (if not worse) experience: a completely incorrect meal and, as an added "special ingredient," a very obvious hair in the queso... which, thankfully, did not belong to any of us. When we returned to address the issues and simply tried to get the orders corrected, one of the gentlemen in our group was verbally confronted by other men who appeared to employees. Because apparently adding intimidation to an already poor dining experience is part of the package. Needless to say, we will not be returning, and we certainly won't be recommending this place to anyone. Discovered this dining spot during a day trip to Copperhill and would definitely go back if I am ever back there again. The service was super quick and efficient. We were seated in a booth sufficiently distanced from other diners, served fresh chips and a tasty salsa without delay and given just enough time to fully review the rather extensive menu. There are lunch specials and I found the selection and price points especially appealing. I was torn between a couple of options but settled on the vegetarian fajitas and was oh so glad I did. The place is casual, fairly spacious and can accommodate couples to a table crowded with several diners. The alcohol selection is really limited to don't expect to order more than a beer or a wine cooler. This is a family operated restaurant and extremely well run with customers checked on often, food prepared quickly and expertly and serving made-from-scratch dishes that everyone at my table demolished. Housed in a beautiful red brick building, the restaurant fits the personality and pleasant scale of this charming Tennessee town. In a world of sour and disgusting food, Habaneros comes in to save the day! I went there to eat with friends a while back, and it was great. The atmosphere was pleasant and clean. I ordered a Chimichanga (I think,) and it was magnificent (my order cost around $13.50). The waitress we had was awesome and always sharp as a tack, if we needed a refill, here she come! Steak fajitas were good but only come with two tortillas and not enough sides like rice or beans to even make two tortillas. I'd recommend at least more sides and 3/4 tortillas. Carne Asada tacos... it was supposed to be from ribeye steak. It tastes horrible like it is chewy and not even soft. I believe it was not ribeye cuts, instead they use cheap beef cuts. My wife also didnt like taste. Refried beans and rice is not great too. I wouldnt recommend going back again, it costs 70 dollars with my family of 7. Too expensive for awful foods. read more
