Polk County Burger Week adventure day two! This time the Aus you serious burger! The smash burger was sooooo good! Juicy, good sized and fresh, however the dipping sauce actually made it loose flavor. Like burger with out dipping sauce 9/10, with sauce like a 5. The onion rings were delish! They may have been a little undercooked, but the flavor was there! The cashier was a little rude and rushed you, but the owner walked around and was super friendly. The concept of the establishment was a little weird and funeral home type, but I guess it turns into a bar at night and they cater events? One thing that was SUPER amazing was their dipping bbq sauces... chefs kiss. Will we be back? Probably not, but I'm glad we tried it! Ohhhh and cash only unless you want a credit card service charge!

Stopped in on a whim because everything else in the area that sounded good was already closed on a Friday night... and we were pleasantly surprised. Parking is a little tight so we thought it might be difficult to find a table but there's a good bit of seating on the inside. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable, too. The food was good! My friend had the rib basket with macaroni and cheese. Ribs were decent, but the mac fell flat. We shared an order of fried pickles which were tasty! Nothing extraordinary, but they were good! I had the bourbon chicken because I'm a sucker for some good bourbon chicken. Typically, it comes with lo mein or rice. They'd run out of both that day so I was able to sub for a side. Listen, that chicken is good stuff! The owner (I believe) was super apologetic about not having the noodles but hey, I got a big bowl of nothing but bourbon chicken and a little tub of YumYum sauce... that is just A-ok in my book! Really good stuff. Cute little place! We'd visit again!

This is all of their sauces that they have and let me tell you what there's some amazing sauces in here sweet ones surprisingly that are very good there's a strawberry and a raspberry that's very good. We also got the bacon wrapped meatballs very good and the brisket mac and cheese egg roll. The place inside is very unusual for a barbecue place... Very nice and comfortable chairs tables and booths. They don't have your standard waitresses however you go up to order and they will bring it to you and anything else you need. Looks like you can take some of those sauces home with you too if you like. I know one thing we will definitely be back.

Great bbq, great egg rolls, great sauce, great menu, great people. Come hungry, leave stuffed. I've enjoyed the pulled pork, the brisket (and as egg rolls) the pizza egg rolls, the yummy fried banana peppers and some fun sauces.

Ribs, Mac and cheese, bacon wrapped meat ball and sweet tea.

Best BBQ hands down, and that's from someone coming from Texas. Ribs are fall of the bone, with some of the best homemade sauces you'll ever try. The owner and staff are very welcoming, and didn't hesitate to point you in the right direction what to order off the menu. Place is also equipped with a full bar, hands down the best BBQ place you will find in the area. Can't wait to come back and try the brisket, and the peach cobbler egg rolls.

We are a bunch of RVers who came here at the last minute with a LARGE GROUP after finishing up the season 2 taping of RV Unplugged at Camp Margaritaville Auburndale. The owner and staff went above and beyond to accommodate our modest group of 23 people. The ambiance was awesome with the great music being played from the Jukebox. We were able to sing, laugh, enjoy great food and share some lasting memories without fear of being too loud. I had the Bracksroom & Swiss burger which was amazing. The burger was cooked exactly the way I liked it! We will be back when in the area! Highly recommend!

The General Van Fleet included brisket, pulled pork, ribs, pulled chicken and sausage with your choice of Bread and we chose Texas Toast. This was more than enough for two people to share. I am a brisket person and this brisket was very moist, a bit more fatty than I prefer. The brisket was also a bit more salty than I prefer (mind you, I don't ever salt anything). The sausage was pretty perfect tasting and texture. The pulled pork was probable pretty spot on, even though I'm not a big pork lover. The chicken was chicken....pretty good with any of the three BBQ sauces on the table. The ribs were tasty, and didn't need sauce. The sides were all pretty good. The beans were really good, Sweet Apple Coke Slaw tasted really good and fresh, the Brunswick Stew was a bit different than we are used to and more like a chili and good. The Mac n cheese was creamy and ok. The grilled cheese is made with 5 cheeses and perfectly made.....this is something definitely recommended to consider ordering when you visit. Service is friendly and outstanding. We are excited to return to try some other menu items including the Couch Potato (a fully loaded potato including your choice of meat). The dining room is medium size with tables for two, four and 6. They offer dine in and carry out also. For our first visit, we really enjoyed this and will return!

I ordered a spare rib plate with sides of fries and mac-n-cheese. The dish also came with a piece of garlic bread. To start, the ribs were a bit tough and hardly had any smoke or bark flavors. I love a rib that requires some "chew" to get them off the bone, but the toughness mentioned was not of that variety. Bottled sauces (on the tables) were alright, but nothing special. I will say the seasoned fries and gooey mac-n-cheese were both good. Lastly, the garlic bread had very little seasoning on it, more like a dry piece of toast really. Had heard such good things, but this visit really disappointed me and my (extended) family who also had similar feelings about the meals they had chosen.

The ribs are tender with a perfectly subtle smoky flavor that doesn't overpower the meat. Their collard greens are seasoned beautifully and balance out the sweetness of the cornbread. The egg rolls are crispy on the outside, loaded on the inside, and pair perfectly with the sweet dipping sauce. Overall, a great mix of flavor, texture, and soul. The interior of the restaurant was definitely bigger than I thought it would be, with plenty of seating for you to enjoy your food in. The staff was friendly but not all too helpful with reccomendations on portion sizes. I ended up ordering 1/4 pound of brisket and a side of baked beans. It came 2 slices of texas toast. I did like the fact that you had a choice of how your food was prepared, be it sliced or chunks and fatty or lean. The brisket was cooked perfectly and the sauces definitely added to the overall flavor. I was definitely happy with the size of the baked beans side amd ended up finishing the leftover I had of this later that night! It was a nice place to eat at and quick ticket time is always appreciated!

The dry rubbed ribs with their house seasoning pair well with all 3 sauces - sweet, spicy or mustard based sauce. Brisket can be ordered sliced or chopped & lean or fatty based on preference of wanting a cut from the flat or point end of the brisket. We enjoy the sliced, lean brisket but also really enjoy the chopped brisket paired on top of the fat fries w / ranch & jalapeños! The brisket is moist and fork tender, we always order a 1 lb. portion so we have extra for later. The sides are well seasoned & flavor packin', never lackin! From creamy 5 cheese mac to turnip greens & green beans...they don't disappoint! If you're in the area and looking for a local gem then look no further. Come in hungry and leave happy!
