The hotel property is like four legs under the table - a great location, a great hotel experience, a great restaurant experience, and a entertainment experience (The Mansion Bar). At least one leg has been kicked out, one is suffering. The Mansion Bar used to have a great recipe for success - proven by how busy and regular the customers were and loyal (or was), and the top tier talent that was routine for 10+ years. Me and my friends have a relationship with the long time staff as customers as well as the excellent music talent. The cause? Not precisely sure but I think it's new ownership, at the very least a new Food & Bev manager. I also know the staff is very upset about these changes and the relationships with the repeat music talent is now a mess. I wouldn't be surprise if the staff start leaving. I'm hoping whomever is making these decisions can revert back to what was working. Dallas has a lot of great venues that will fill this void.

What stood out to me most was the bartenders: they were clearly having a blast with the customers while crafting drinks, and you can really see the passion they have for what they do! Food: They don't serve full meals here, but they do have desserts available if you want something sweet. Parking: Parking right out front can be a bit tricky, but it's always worth taking a quick loop to check for street parking first. If that's full, they offer valet as well as a paid parking lot nearby. Overall, it's a gem of a spot and completely worth a visit. We'll definitely be back!

It was absolutely beautiful, although I do think it could stand to be a little larger or limit the number of people allowed inside. There was a somewhat long wait just to get inside, and once we were in, the wait didn't really make sense. I'm used to having to wait at bars that have tables and servers, but Gingers had both while also being wall-to-wall people. Even though we ordered directly from the bar, we still waited nearly 20 minutes just to be able to place our order. The drinks themselves were really good and had great presentation. They were super pretty and definitely gave the aesthetic they were going for. That said, a lot of the experience did feel like paying to sit with the cool kids. I wish they would encourage people who were no longer drinking to give up their seats, especially when there were people still actively patronizing the bar who had nowhere to sit. There were multiple tables where people weren't even drinking, while everyone else was basically standing room only. I did appreciate that they have a dress code on the weekends and don't allow streetwear. Thankfully, I was dressed appropriately, but I did see them ask one young lady to remove her hat. Overall, I think I would go back, but probably on a weekday when it's hopefully less crowded. I'd like to experience the space when I'm not packed in with wall-to-wall people because I think Gingers has the potential to be a really nice experience when you can actually enjoy the atmosphere.

Parking was a challenge, but we opted for valet and, at only $10, it was totally worth it! We originally planned to check out Bar Eden for happy hour but accidentally walked into Paradiso, which is connected. Bar Eden is a little smaller and has more of an intimate, speakeasy vibe, while Paradiso has a gorgeous, lively atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the happy hour specials were perfect for afternoon drinks--cocktails under $10! The margarita was delicious, and the other cocktails were just as pretty as they were tasty. One thing to know: it seems there's only one restroom, so the wait can be lengthy. BUT once you get inside, you'll understand why...because it's basically a girl's dream photo booth! Definitely plan a little extra time for the bathroom selfies. We didn't try the food this time, but the ambiance and music were on point. The outdoor seating is beautiful and elegant, although it was way too hot for daytime lounging during our visit. Overall, I'd absolutely come back--especially for happy hour! Great drinks, beautiful atmosphere, and plenty of photo-worthy moments.

The bartender, Marco, was super nice and helpful. He said they had a patio but we didn't go check it out. They have a nice selection of Tequila which made me really happy. We had a couple of drinks along with a Michelada and beer. Marco gave some suggestions around the food so we ordered a couple of tacos and the chicharrones and guacamole. The food was good and the drinks were good. The prices were reasonable. The music playing over the speakers was upbeat and added to the vibe. We ended up hanging out for about 2-2.5 hours. We spent about $140 pre-tip. Marco said Friday and Saturday are really crazy crowded (they're open until 2). We will definitely visit again.
