They organized a private room for us and assigned two attentive waitresses who managed our large group with efficiency and kindness. After a long day at the ball field, the quiet, comfortable space was exactly what we needed to relax and enjoy a good meal. The salad bar was fresh and well-stocked, and the warm bread and butter kept coming, no need for appetizers! I had amazing service from the bartender Tara. She made sure to greet me as soon as I sat down and was extremely friendly throughout. Brass Lantern is a favorite in Lawrenceburg, TN. Today, we celebrated a birthday! Our server Makayleigh was very sweet and brought the staff to sing to our birthday girl! Our food was cooked very well and was tasty! The rolls are to die for! If you visit this restaurant, you must have the unique and fresh salad bar! The other dishes that stand out are the steaks (I love the bourbon sirloin!) , the catfish platters, and the pastas! Try the Jack Daniels apples, the broccoli casserole, and the pastas! Ok, so for my 3rd updated review of the brass lantern, ambiance is good, the food was actually good this time I was impressed. That's what made me give 3 stars, our food was really good it seems they finally have good cooks, BUT! our service was terrible. We came in, was seated immediately. We sat for about 10 minutes looking around and our waitress finally showed up and just asked us "what we wanted to drink" we ordered our drinks one by one and she didn't say anything and she just walked away. Another 8 to 10 minutes she Showed up with our drinks and had to ask us who wanted what, she then told us her name by saying "o yeah! My name is..., do you know what you want to eat?" 2 of us didn't know what we wanted yet but we knew that 3 of us wanted the salad bar so we just told her that we needed a minute but we know 3 of us at least want the salad bar so we need 3 plates. She said "ok great!, I'll be right back" We waited literally 13 minutes looking around and never even seen her walking around. I got up and walked to the front counter and told a random young personnel that we ordered salad bar plate's almost 15 minutes ago and haven't seen our waitress since. They just handed me our 3 plates. We got our salads and had time to fully eat our salads, we ran out of drinks a long time ago and all of us were looking around so I got up for the second time and had to again walk up to the front counter and tell them we ran out of drinks 10 minutes ago and haven't seen our waitress in almost 30 minutes, finally someone walked with me to our table and refilled our drinks who wasn't our waitress. another I don't know 10 to 15 minutes later our mystery waitress finally showed up to take our orders!!!! It was 30 minutes from the time we told her we needed more time to decide what we wanted to eat but needed salad bar plates to the time she showed back up to our table to take our orders. We ordered what we wanted to eat. We just sat in silence at this point. The food came out in another 10 to 13 minutes by another random person from the kitchen we've never seen before. We didn't see our waitress again until we were done eating and sat forever all of us talking about something that made us talk forever before I realized we've been in this restaurant for an hour an 45 minutes! I once again had to get up and peek around the corner of a doorway of the bar area that was the kitchen area and saw our waitress standing in a circle of about 4 other very young staff chatting away just in the other side of the doorway!! I said hey! We're ready for our checks! She just quit talking and turned to get our check. I walked back to our table and she came out and didn't say anything just handed me the check on a plastic tray and walked away. I looked at it and realized it was for $107 $107 and had an absolutely terrible experience. This is what happens every single time you hire all very young staff. I got the lunch special through the drive thru. Wow their food is good-the hamburger steak was excellent! So tasty, no pink in the middle yet not overcooked either-it was just right. This place was not too crowded for a Saturday night. We waited about 5 minutes for a table (party of 2). Menu had a wide range of options : chicken, steak, seafood, pasta, soup/salad, sandwiches, and sizzling skillets. The spinach dip appetizer was good, and the lemon pepper mahi mahi with smashed red potatoes and side salad was also good. The meal also came with rolls and cinnamon butter. The restaurant was clean. My only 2 complaints are 1. that we were sat in the bar area (maybe the reason we had only a short wait). We made up for the short wait with the amount of time it took to be waited on. They did have a help wanted sign, so staffing may have been the issue here. And 2. The salad bar was also closed. The side salad was good, but the salad bar used to be my favorite! My husband and I were at the Brass Lantern yesterday ,we got there just after 2pm . We were told by the waitress we couldn't get the lunch hamburger steak. I ask if we couldn't get it @ all . She said no. Which was not true. It is on the dinner meal. When we were about to leave , I ask for a tea to go, which I hadn't had a refill. She brought an empty cup. As we were leaving I stopped to purchase a desert. The manager & server were behind the counter. Neither, acknowledged my presence . I put my purse on the counter. When they finished what they were doing, they both left . We have been here often over the years & have never been treated like that. Our waitress was very nice and apologized. She told us our food should be out shortly and that the manager would be out to speak with us. She took it to speak to the manager since the manager never bothered to meet with us. A few minutes later, she brought our bill with NO changes. The Brass Lantern is a great choice for dine-in in the Lawrenceburg area. I am a huge fan of the salad bar (currently unavailable due to COVID-19 ), and my other half loves their steaks. Due to the huge increase in their meat prices (blame it on the virus, I guess), we chose to order from their pastas. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan, and it was full of flavor and the marinara sauce specifically was fantastic. My husband ordered the chicken Alfredo and even though they messed up his order, it was easily corrected. He was not the biggest fan of his meal because he said it was rather bland. The pecan pie was really good and it's the perfect size to share. 4/5 stars for the area read more

So, this is one of several restaurants owned by one group in our small town of Lawrenceburg, Tn. The reviews for all these restaurants are always similar. The wait is usually long. Not many options in our town. The wait for food can also be long. The staffs at all these restaurants are untrained, and basically we see no representation of managers regarding front of the house staff at any of these restaurants with the exception of strikers. After Covid, all these restaurants took a real turn to the negative. Since it seems to be across the board at all the restaurants owned by this company then you can only assume that the attitude is from the top down. I won't belabor the experiences at all these restaurants, I'm here to speak of our Brass Lantern experience. My husband arrive at 5:00.! We were told it would be a 15 minute wait. The restaurant was fairly full. We were sat at 5:30. The restaurant offers prime rib every day. I ordered prime rib. My husband ordered salmon, a frozen. Norwegian salmon, almost guaranteed to be poor, but there's hardly any fish offered in our town, the salmon also offered with Shrimp. The salmon was not edible. Cooked hard as a brick. The wine sauce offered with the salmon was thin and tasteless. The waitress had returned saying they were out of prime rib. I said at 5:30? Yep you should have arrived earlier if you expected prime rib. Oh, you mean like at 3:00? It's my fault. I had ordered my steak MR of course it was brought WD. We pushed our food around. My husband ate the shrimp, I suffered thru the low quality steak, low quality. The waitress finally checked back. My husband complained that the salmon was hard as a brick. He asked for a recook. Basically, she said that you get what you get. Nothing she could do. My husband asked her to check with the chef (we use the term generously), she said she would. 15 min later she brought the check. My husband asked what the chef said, her answer was the salmon was cooked fine and if he had wanted it another way he should have asked for it. So again his fault. So the assessment is-unless have no expectations of good edible food, don't darken the doors of any of the restaurants in this group. Legends, Strikers, Brass Lantern. I have been wanting to stop here for quiet awhile as we drove through this area. WOW we have been missing out! Wonderful atmosphere and service. I had the best filet steak I have ever eaten and I have traveled quite a bit. My steak was perfectly seasoned, cooked perfect and I could cut it with a fork. The salad bar was fresh with a huge selection and my side of smashed red potatoes were great. I'm a little sad I live out of town because this would become a regular place for me.
