It was slow going through the whole process but everyone was friendly and the food was good. My husband had the pancakes and sausage. He said it was good-pretty hard to screw up pancakes. I had an everything omelette that was tasty. I had the biscuits and gravy for my toast selection. The biscuits were light and fluffy and the gravy ok. I probably should of added a pinch of salt. Aside from the picturesque, majestic riverfront views, the staff was exceedingly friendly and courteous. The food is primarily buffet style dining, but it is not cafeteria food. The fried chicken is exceptional. The mashed potatoes divine. The navy beans served with fatback is the definition of southern cultural food. The peach cobbler was great, and I also enjoyed a wonderful glass of Tennessee Cynthiana red wine with my meal, distilled from one of the oldest grape varieties in a North America. It's flavor was wild and enjoyable, just like the scenery in the park. I have dined at far more expensive and exclusive establishments, but few such humble places, such as this warrant five stars. I think Crockett would feel at home here and do I give a whole-hearted 5/5.

They have two windows so can move through a fair amount of traffic. We only had one car ahead of us on our side. They were maybe a tiny bit slower than I'd expect, but no big deal.
