I ordered the coffee cured steak, medium rare. Anything about medium rare is an insult to god and the cow it came from. I swear I was blasted back in time like the villain from Ratatouille when he had his first bite of Ratatouille. My first bite into it and I felt my tastebuds screaming for more, all sense of time ceased to exist and the room went quiet. "You and me" from the beetles started to play and I was looking at myself from outside myself. I'd take out a second mortgage on my house if I couldn't afford to eat one, this is a rare moment where you have been let down by so many other steak houses but you manage to be in the right spot at the right time and have an existentially mind blowing experience. Strikers is a steakhouse that is connected to a bowling alley of all things. Hence the name. You'd never know it was there unless you asked. And you don't know the prices of the steak there either unless you ask 'cause they're not on the menu. Now, if the steaks were special and not just okay, then I would understand. They're not. Don't get me wrong they're not bad but they're not all that good either. I'm "split" I guess you could say. I promise you their filet is not as good as other steakhouses where you do know the prices. The bread seems to be whatever's on sale over at the Food Lion. The mashed potato's are good. The service was good. It will be the best bowling alley food you ever had. But it will not be the best food in Lawrenceburg you've ever had, especially for the money. So, warm um your arm and bring some dough if you got some to "spare" and get on over to Strikers/bowling alley! Nice big place can accommodate a crowd. We're here for a late lunch but there were still people dining. Waitress was super nice. My husband had the French dip and brown rice. He said the french dip was excellent and the rice was good. I had the fish and chips. Amazingly it was good. I'm always Leary on fish as I rarely get a good meal but I do love a good fried fish meal. A group of about 12 us went understanding we would be charged a gratuity. However, the gratuity was added to the tax. This is unacceptable and a shady practice to increase the wages of the server on the unsuspecting diner. It should have been stated clearly the gratuity would be added the tax, but that would be too honest. I was pleasantly surprised by this place since it is located at the bowling center in Lawrenceburg, TN. I would have never found it, if one of my clients hadn't asked me to use them for catering an event we were doing for them! I must say ALL the food we ordered was AMAZING! Everyone loved it. I will definitely be going back and eating it there next time. I had the chicken salad sandwich, which had almond slivers, and either a curry or turmeric in it, and was on a brioche bun that was amazing. I really enjoyed it very much. Oh boy, Where to begin! Let's start with this: I don't like Ranch dressing. For some reason theirs was delicious. I don't really have an answer for it. They start you off with a great wait staff. Followed by a decent draft beer selection. You cant expect too much but it's not the standard four choices. They bring our some bread and butter. Crusty on the end and soft as cotton in the middle. Not my favorite bread so far (Cheesecake Factory owns that title) but it's top five. So we came for the Texas twinkies they did not disappoint. Wish it was an every day. I'm a sucker for jalapeños and bacon. On to the real food. Steaks were cooked to perfection. wife had the ribeye and I got a sirloin. They were great. It's not easy to make a great steak. Good choice by the cook for the temperatures selected. I've never had a sirloin have a consistent cook. They did great. Okra was good. Caesar salad was tasty. Potato was ample. Dessert was super. We were in town for our grandson to go turkey hunting and trying to enjoy a weekend before he had another major surgery for cancer.
