This is such a lovely place to eat. I just had the ice cream although the signs for the burgers really hyped them up so I guess they're good. I had the fried peach pie with vanilla ice cream. It was amazing. The pie was great, the ice cream was sweet and creamy and rich, and they were even better together. And it wasn't that expensive either. Cost me about $7 including tax. The interior decor is vintage kitsch. Incredible to just look around in awe. I would have given 5 stars because the cheeseburger was one of the top 5 burgers that I've ever eaten, however the service was less than desired. A couple young girls, possibly working a summer job with minimal waitress experience, ignored me after taking my order. I ate my burger at the restaurant, but I also placed a to-go order and had to go to the counter to pick it up. No drink refills. No nothing. My wife & I really enjoy visiting small towns throughout Kentucky and Tennessee. This place is located in an older building and decorated with a variety of old signs and advertising. The building was built in 1860. The original storefront was a pharmacy with rich woodworking that still existed; it is a very cool atmosphere. You'll enjoy hot, fresh plates, friendly service, and a true small-town vibe in a town with nearly 200 years of history. We started off with onion rings and wings. I wanted to try the fried green beans but did not get the chance, as I wanted to really try what's advertised as the best burger in TN. I ordered the 1/2 lb Double Bacon Cheeseburger, while my wife opted for the small 1/3 pound double bacon Cheese Burger. They both come with standard toppings of Mayo, mustard ketchsup, lettuce, tomatos onloin and pickles on a fresh sesame seed bun. I have to say that they lived up to the hype; we both agreed they were some of the best burgers we have had. The steak fries are also excellent with just the right amount of doneness and crispiness. My wife had the sweet potato fries as her option with the same opinion. Also, the railroad museum and the Colonel Littleton store next door are great places to shop and enjoy local culture. While I opted for a double-dipped butter pecan, which was excellent as well. My wife went the more traditional route with a hot fudge and peanut milkshake. While things were a little slow compared to other places, I was reminded by my wife of one the other reviews we read: " remember they are cooking your food fresh so it's not McDonald's..." I'm a UT alumni, so the orange and white theme is right up my alley! The building is old and decorated with a variety of old signs and advertising. Very cool atmosphere. Service was fantastic!! Nearly every server was a young girl - probably high school and college ages. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. Orders were taken quickly and the wait for our food was not long at all. This surprised me as they were very crowded. We both ordered burgers and decided to split an order of fries. The burgers were very good - juicy and meaty. Topping were fresh and everything tasted great. I would not go so far as to say this was the best burger in Tennessee, but it was very good. I will certainly go back in the future. I love this place! You wouldn't expect the food to be as good in a small town of Middle Tennessee, but it is! Just a short 30-mile drive from where I live in Spring Hill, this cute, little town founded nearly 200 years ago, was the destination. I had seen this restaurant featured by a local on his Instagram page. I bookmarked it on Yelp and have been looking forward to checking it out. We had perfect weather for a mini-roadtrip yesterday. The drive is beautiful, if you take the back roads and avoid the Interstate. Lynnville, Tennessee, is a small town in northern Giles County with a rich and fascinating history tied to its rural Southern roots and strategic location. Despite its small size, with 301 residents recorded in 2022 --covering just 0.33 square miles-- Lynnville has a significant historical footprint, with 59 properties listed on the National Register of Historic Places, underscoring its architectural and cultural heritage. My mom and I arrived at the perfect time, after their lunch rush, just before they get busy for dinner. Our service was excellent and the food was just delicious. I had a Double Bacon Cheeseburger with Steak Fries & Sweet Tea. I expected it to be good, but it was exceptional! As we were leaving, I noticed a basket of mini pies in a basket. I didn't think much of it until I was outside and saw the Lynnville Fried Pie Company, down the street a ways. I put two and two together and decided the pies must be from there. I went back and bought two. One Coconut and one Cherry. They were both amazingly delicious! I'll be sure to come a little earlier in the day next time and check out the pie place. SPJ has been a favorite lunch stop for us when out riding motorcycles. The burgers and fries have never disappointed. They lost a star for service. While the servers are extremely friendly and seem like good people, they tend to ignore tables once the food is served. I've had to take my cup to the front and ask for a refill on more than one occasion. Yes, they get busy, but they still need to be aware that good service doesn't end until customers leave. Perhaps they need to get more help on Saturdays. read more

We drove a couple of hours to try this little place. They appear to be busy all the time but you could see the kitchen crew had quite the system in place to crank out burgers and fries super fast. Honestly, the food is fantastic. Our waitress was terrible.... We came in Sunday at 1:55 didn't get food until 3:15. I get being busy and running behind but our waitress didn't come check on us once. My husband actually had to approach her sitting at the bar to get refills. When we finally got our food the service had been so bad we just wanted to eat and get out of there.. sucks. Took a nice motorcycle ride on a Sunday with my daughter and stopped here. Ambiance is what your looking for in a building set from a late 1800's pharmacy. We loved it. The service was great and very friendly. We ordered burgers and fries. Burgers were cooked perfect and very flavorful. They also had a good bar that we noticed after the fact. We come into the restaurant, just stand there... the lady at the front just ignores us. There is a sign that says please wait to be seated but a busy waitress runs by and says seat yourselves. We sit and wait almost 45 minutes for someone to acknowledge us, even though there are at least three waitresses continually making eye contact with us. When the sweet waitress takes our order she starts off by telling us that it will at least be an hour before our food comes out. We order, and wait exactly an hour. The food was pretty good and our waitress was really nice! I'm only giving it three stars because of the bad customer service. My girlfriend and I drove about an hour to come up to Soda Pop Junction the other day after my mom recommend it to me. As we arrived we walked in and were not acknowledged so I assumed we were to seat ourselves which we did, but it took about 10 minutes for somebody to come over and take our drink orders. After coming back with our drink we placed our order. We were one of about 3 tables in the whole place and it took about 30 minutes to get our food out. Overall the service was below average but still very friendly. On a positive note the prices were very good. I only paid $25 for everything we got. Before coming in I heard the had a very good burger so I had very high hopes for the food. I ended up ordering a 1/3 pound double cheeseburger, a plain hot dog, and a side of shoe string fries. Now for the burger it was decent but nothing to rave about. The hot dog I ordered was not good at all. The only positive part of the meal was the shoe string fries which were very delicious. After eating we decided to order one of there banana splits, and it took a while to come out as well. After getting it I will say that this was the best part of my whole visit. They ordered the burgers because they saw that they had been chosen best in Tennessee and I had explained to them that the reviews on Yelp were great for the hamburgers. Let's start with negative, it took a good deal longer then it should have. But I attribute this to the fact that they only have one cook and he needs breaks as well. Everything else was fantastic food good and reasonably priced. Milkshakes are superb. Atmosphere is neat. Sides are at a generous amount. Whole family liked it!
