Singo on Thursday nights here is definitely a good time. I really appreciate that happy hour goes until 7, so at least I get an hour of discounted items when I come for the event. I will say I didn't really care for the beers I tried on the happy hour menu, though. Just personal preference. Plenty of great options on tap, however. I've been here multiple times and the food is enjoyable. A variety of specialty and seasonal drinks are offered, which changes frequently. One of the garage-style walls/windows has always been fully opened up when I've been there, creating a more expansive feeling and letting in fresh air. Outdoor seating is available. I have yet to win Singo Bingo, but singing along with the songs is satisfying enough for me. The host does tell you the title of each tune, which is helpful. A couple of my Yelp friends and I met for dinner in Waterford Lakes and decided to stop at a bar later for a drink to extend the evening. We decided on The Brass Tap as it seemed to have a number of good reviews. However, our experience was just OK. We had a nice waitress, who even brought out a special drink menu for my friend who requested gluten-free beverages. Except for the gluten-free sour beer which my friend really liked, our other two drinks were not that great. I ordered a vodka raspberry martini concoction that was way too sweet and light on the alcohol. My other friend had a cocktail in a tall glass that was two-thirds filled with ice even after she finished her drink. She felt the drink was watered down and had very little alcohol to boot. In addition, we had to ask the waitress for napkins halfway through our drinks as the table was very sticky. One friend wiped the table with a white napkin, and it ended up slightly black! It seems the table hadn't been cleaned in a while. I recognize this establishment is a sports bar, but it was quite loud. The table next to us had a number of boisterous patrons that required us to speak loudly to hold onto a conversation. Finally, the men's bathroom only has one stall and one urinal. Came here for Singo on a Thursday night. This was our first time here. We love the option for indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside on the patio area with the comfy patio seating. The server was very attentive and friendly. She was helpful and made sure to take time to help us with balancing taking care of a large party. We got the giant pretzel while we played. This is definitely a men's bar. They were having trivia night and all the tables were full. They had a few drink specials and a large size drink menu. The drink I ordered was new but it was super watered down. Like a hint of flavor, couldn't tell you what, a dab of tequila and water. Maybe since they were more of a beer place cause I ordered a cocktail. The tables were sticky and when I went to wipe them the napkins were black we had to ask for napkins and we got coasters half way thru our drinks. Met a friend for drinks and appetizers. I ended up ordering drinks not on the happy hour menu, listed as specials/seasonals, and they were delicious. The first was a pumpkin espresso martini (pictured) and the second was a lemon cookie martini. My friend had a watermelon paloma (also pictured)and she loved it and said it tasted like a jolly rancher. I think it was the drink of the week. We split the pizza and onion rings from the happy hour menu and they were very sharable.Our server was awesome- attentive, friendly and though he said he was new, was able to answer any questions we had. My family and I came here for happy hour one day. I have heard great things about this place and I have been wanting to try it for a while. They have a pretty good happy hour with prices ranging from $5 to $11. I had the burger and fries for $11 and the house wine for $6. The burger was cooked perfectly I didn't even have to tell them well done. The meat was fully cooked without being burnt. The white wine was good as well. TL;DR: Great draught AND cocktail selections, pretty good food, friendly and knowledgeable staff (for drink ordering purposes), right next door to Big Bad Wolf BBQ, ample parking, lots of seating (between the inside and outside in the dog-friendly breezeway). I've been coming here from time to time over the past few years, and I've never had a bad experience. The staff can always provide plenty of suggestions if you tell them what kind of drink or flavor palette you're in the mood for. The interior is somewhat limited in size with soft lighting, and it normally isn't too loud for conservation. That being said, if it ever IS too loud for conversation, you have the option to sit outside in the covered breezeway ("The Porch") and Brass Tap staff will happily take your orders out there as well. The breezeway is also dog-friendly in case you want to bring your furry freeloader along. Because of the location of Brass Tap, parking immediately in front of the building is limited, but the parking lot beyond is vast enough that you can always find parking. And now for the most important part of the review: the food and drinks. We've gotten food here a few times and it's actually pretty good, especially for what is primarily a bar. Brass Tap features rotating taps as well as cocktails, and also features seasonal and monthly beers and cocktails. This most recent trip here I ordered the spicy margarita and the Island Rum Old Fashioned. The spicy margarita was good, but not as spicy as I usually prefer (I like my spicy margaritas extra spicy). The Island Rum Old Fashioned was very good and had a definite tiki flavor to it (very sweet and rum-forward). Also worth noting that Brass Tap is conveniently located about 10 feet away from Big Bad Wolf BBQ (just across the breezeway), so if you're in the mood for BBQ instead of bar food, you can order some BBQ and then eat and order drinks at Brass Tap. I have been to Brass Tap a few times now; they have a pretty vast craft beer selection. One thing I love is that they will let you try samples of pretty much whatever draft beers you want to try before making a decision. Their staff has always been super friendly and attentive as well and helpful with recommendations. There is indoor and bar seating, as well as a large outside seating area that is also shared with Bad Wolf Brews and BBQ next door. The outdoor seating is great - it's covered and dog friendly! If you're a sports fan, they also have a ton of TVs with different games on. We haven't been on nights with other activities yet, but they also advertise trivia, live music, etc on certain nights as well. This trip we just got a few cocktails - would definitely recommend their seasonal selections that they just post on the chalkboard inside. Those have always been really good! Overall a chill low-fuss spot for a beer, cocktail, or food. We didn't get any food this time around but have tried a few of the appetizers in the past and liked them. Of course, this is a great place to grab a beer (or 3). Tons of taps that will keep any craft beer head happy. Plus they have a full bar as well. I come here mainly for the food. They have great fried cheese curds to get things started. Their burgers are pretty good, not gourmet, but totally solid. And they have a very good crispy chicken sandwich. Wings are solid. I haven't tried the tacos yet. Overall, a really solid beer and burger place in the area, which is why I come often. Service is always friendly and prompt. And you can always flag someone down at the bar if you need it. The one wall opens up on nice days for some great outdoor seating and fresh air throughout. Definitely one of the better (and much better than some) sports/beer bars in the Waterford Lakes area. We came here to celebrate the night before my friends wedding and the couple is a frequent flier at this place. They have a few items on the menu they really enjoy and also like to cider and large tap options. I will say, if you get anything on tap or bottle, it is very good alcohol. They also have classics for those who do not like to branch out. So to start, the first issue was our waiter. Most of the bar was made for larger parties with large long bar top tables. We had a larger group of about 11 and our waiter was just not there. Not only did he not know the menu or knew how to work his handheld, he was just either inexperienced or didn't care. Not attentive, never checked on us. We had to ask for water and he served our food without silverware. I ordered a cocktail and I highly suggest sticking to the tap. The cocktail I ordered was horrendous. I had the bourbon blueberry smash and everyone at the table agreed it was the grossest concoction they've ever tasted. The food was actually good, the problem was the pretzel was so greasy. The grease literally piled on the bottom and the queso hardened if it wasn't pipping hot. However, the pretzel did taste good and the queso was quite good as well. They also over salted the pretzel but I did like that it was in pieces. The five cheese flatbread was good and I liked the shredded parm on the top. The boom boom shrimp was also delicious and was a very generous serving for the price. It was the perfect amount of spicy. Stopped in here yesterday for a beer, it was New Year's Eve so it wasn't very busy. The bar is obviously pretty big, but there is also ample seating. The inside is modern and veers away from a college feeling atmosphere. Only one bar tender but he was a rock star, super courteous and fast. Came here for some late night eats and beers. Although food is available, I would definitely say that it's more of a bar than a restaurant, and definitely a beer bar! My kind of place for sure! So many different beers on tap! Mainly all craft and local beers. My group and I decided to sit at the bar rather than a table away from the bar. The bartender was very nice and efficient. There's also seats outside on their patio. After a day of drinking all kinds of craft beers, I decided to get something not so "crafty" and simply went with my go-to beer, a Blue Moon. So my girlfriend and I stopped by here to watch an NFL game after doing some last minute Christmas shopping. There was only one server working. She got to us in a timely manner, though, even though the place had a good amount of people inside. We told her we were here for the long haul of the whole game, ordered our drinks, and browsed the menu. We opted to split three courses. We started with the Combo Appetizer, "Boom Boom Shrimp, House-Made Tots with beer cheese, Chicken Tenders with BBQ sauce & house-baked pita chips with pimento cheese." To be honest, I'd skip this. The shrimp were unimpressive, the tenders were frozen and just thrown in the fryer, and the pita chips were too floppy to actually be called chips. Go with the Korean BBQ Pulled Pork Nachos instead. We've had these before at another location, and they were good. For our entree, we went with the Korean BBQ Angus Burger, "Pork Belly, coleslaw, pickle, onion straws on a butter brioche bun." Other than the fact that a greasy burger shouldn't be put on a slick, buttery brioche bun, this was actually pretty good. The umptiousness of the pork belly was a really nice addition to this good blend of a burger patty. I would recommend this. Finally, for dessert, we got a pretzel that was chopped up, fried, and dusted with cinnamon. This was served with a cup of caramel and a cup of Nutella. We liked this a lot. It was filling, though, we wary. There was an unbelievable amount of Nutella in that cup. I don't know how they profited from this sale. The only thing is that I wish the caramel had been salted, to bring back in notes of pretzel into this dish. Nitpick. Overall, the food was absolutely three stars. Nothing special about it, but it was nice. The server was a four star server. She was crazy nice and attentive. The atmosphere as a whole was fine. There were a lot of TV's for multiple game viewing, but the clientele was particularly rowdy that day and the staff didn't seem to have any interest in controlling them. Oh well. If I'm ever in Waterford again and want some bar food, I'd probably come back here instead of Duffy's. read more

We went back a week later; and, Hailey did an incredible job. The Brass Tap was so busy; and, she was the only server working outside. She really did a commendable job making sure everyone was served. On this visit, we had a couple of appetizers, burgers, and lots of beer and cider. We brought our puppy with us again. And, we all had a great time. ____________________________________________ This place is pet friendly, with outdoor seating, masks required and paper menus. For COVID-19, they are doing most everything right. When I went inside, I did see tables with more than 10 people seated, which isn't right; but, at least the tables are spread far apart; and, social distancing is enforced at the bar. We went last Friday for beer and appetizers during happy hour and brought our puppy - she's a Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever Mix and weight in at nearly 80 pounds! Because of bad weather, we had to change tables, which caused some issues with the billing; but, the server, manager and I got things all straightened out with a little effort. The beer selection is fantastic; and, the Cream Stout I finished with was absolutely superb. In fact, we liked it so much, we stayed for dinner (splitting the Fish and Chips); and, our daughter joined us for an Impossible Burger before going shopping in the Town Center. The dog park is right behind the restaurant, so I took my pup out there; but, she was alone and got bored fairly quickly. The park looks like it gets a lot of use.
