Bread - glorious bread!! And do you see the cookies too???
    Thomas S.

This place is wonderful. You can smell the goodness when you walk in the door and their variety is just enough to send your nose into shock. I bought a some of their sourdough bread and a few other treats including one of their signature cream cheese muffins. Let me start by saying these muffins are massive - bigger than some people's hands. They are also dense yet pull apart to reveal delicious layers of perfectly sweetened dough. It made me want coffee so got a cup and savoured the pastry goodness until I could eat no more. This muffin is something that can easily be shared by two people, though you're not going to want to share!! The sourdough is PERFECT. A very slight hint of sweetness, perfectly formed crust, and the right density to hold up to any use (sandwich, preserves, butter, etc...). They also have a variety of perfectly decorated cookies and cakes (all of which are bundt style to ensure perfect consistency throughout). When I go back I'm going to get a small bundt cake and perhaps one of their delicious looking pound cakes (I had a sample and they're just like my nana used to make - perfectly buttery and slightly sweet). The people in this small community are truly blessed to have this place - it is a lovely local gem!!

Service was very good--quick, professional, and courteous. Cinnamon buns were excellent.

Bluff View Bakery - The lounge was so uncomfortable. No breakfast or coffee. No bagels or anything to eat in the morning

Since everything in the Bluff View Art District's hours are limited, make sure you call first to see what their hours are for the day. They have a fabulous assortment of fresh-baked and delicious breads and sweet treats. My favorite is the challah bread. It's so soft, fluffy and very pleasant tasting. Rembrandt's Coffee House around the corner from them also sells their breads and baked goods, so you have a second option if Bluff View Bakery is closed. You have parallel street parking and there is also a private lot beside the store. Delicious adventures await!

Arrived in Uber to discover the manager gave us the wrong address…read more Next was looking place a bottle of champagne (that was not provided by the inn) no ice machine exists in the building that was staying at. Was told have to goto a separate building to find ice. When I arrived at the next building the ice machine was empty. So this is just the beginning! So woke up the next morning and no food or breakfast is located in the three or more buildings. You have to walk about a city block away. When you arrive for breakfast your food is delivered in a cardboard box - which was actually gross ! You will NOT wake up to fresh coffee, orange juice or anything in the common area. You will find all areas are locked except for a very cold room with an actual church Pugh bench in the common area. Next I return to the room and the maids were outside. I asked for extra bathroom towels and was told "can only give you more towels in exchange for your dirty towels. I also asked for another blanket to sleep with and the maid states " now I have to goto the other building for that". Later that day I turned on the shower, the shower knob was stuck on all hot, and could not even take a three minute shower. The actual room had a small television in the wall, behind the television was a curtain. I moved the curtain back to find a huge hole on the wall (where and old tv was filled with dust). Tony's pasta restaurant (onsite) was a sodium filled nightmare. Tried the pasta- over cooked , the meatballs were unetiable. Not sure where the chef was from but I am certain nobody could ever say anything positive about the menu. Purely disappointed and disgusting. The owner was so mean and rude! View more

The red velvet brownies are moist flavorful, and made me wonder why I've only had regular brownies. The thumbprint cookies remind me of one of the thumbprint cookies my favorite bakeries from my childhood. Thumbprint cookies and vanilla(?) Icing are thought to find... in other places it's chocolate or fruit or the icing is hard, but not at B's! The cookies and icing are soft and delicious! Get a lemon bar, get a cinnamon roll, and definitely get a salted caramel cookie (especially if you ldont mind the stickiness of caramel in your teeth) I wish I got one of the King Cakes this year, I bet B's would do a fantastic King Cake. I probably go too often, but I'm excited for all of the new sweets I still get to try!

However, when I arrived to pick it up, the cake had not been made. This was very disappointing, especially since it was meant for a special celebration. It should not be on me to followup on invoice. I will not ever be be back as small business I get mistakes happen but this was just poor communication and service. I planned weeks in advance thankfully Baskin robbing supplemented and was even able to personalize cake . I do get mistakes happen but there was no communication . I love to support local but this was a fail. i had to call my daughter and tell her im sorry I couldnt make your birthday cake wishes come true. Just sad that small businesses have faults. Mmmm, pie. On my…read morelittle day trip to Chattanooga, I wanted to find a dessert or pastry to take home to share with my husband. It was getting late and I was also tired of walking around the city, so I wanted to find a place that I could drive to easily that would have accessible, free parking, and that was still open -- many bakecafes had already closed. A quick Yelp search revealed this place as a great option! I scooted on over and walked inside. Very friendly staff members, super welcoming. The place was clean and smelled AMAZING! No real seating inside but that's okay. They have a cooling drawer and a room temp drawer depending on the need of the pie. I'd say mostly dessert pies are available but they also have a nice selection of quiches and pot pies. Flavors/varieties rotate depending on the day. They'd sold out of a few varieties when I arrived, but I was still able to get plenty of yumminess. They have a deal for four pies at a reduced cost so that's what I got! All pies are individual though you can preorder larger pies if you need one. Since I had the ~2 hour drive back home, I of course had to opt for non-refrigerated options. I wound up with a lemon blueberry chess pie, a chocolate bourbon pecan pie, a regular pecan pie, and a chocolate chess pie. Seriously, they were all delicious! Somewhat surprisingly, I'd say my favorite was the regular pecan pie. Don't get me wrong, pecan pie is a beloved pie of mine...just thought it would go to something with chocolate. But the amount of sweetness, the ratio of gooey inside to nutty outside...just so good! Each pie had a delightfully buttery, flaky crust. You really can tell the difference -- they're the real deal. Hubs and I split a mini pie each night for four nights and the quality really didn't suffer! I'd say they're the perfect size to split, though I'm sure I also could've devoured a whole one if left unattended, lol. Would love to try more flavors in the future. If you're in the area, give them a visit!
