The food was really, really good. It was super hot and we all scarfed down the food. So based on food alone, they'd get a 4/5 or 5/5. I ordered for pickup via GrubHub which they told me delays the time a bit. I had to wait about 45-60 minutes for the food after thinking it would be 20-40 minutes. They did apologize for the wait, and said calling in the order can help make it quicker. They have outside seating I noticed which is great for COVID restrictions. I'm from Ohio which is following much stricter guidelines for indoor dining, so if you're trying to socially distance, I'd recommend getting take out or waiting for an outside table. read more

My mom and I grabbed the craziest sounding pancakes on the menu - blueberry lemon curd and bacon chocolate chip. Chairs are painted a variety of very intense colors. Outdoor seating under the oak tree was lovely. We went on a Thursday around 10am and there were plenty of open tables. Our waitress was really awesome and didn't mind when we asked to switch from indoor to outdoor. After eating half the pancakes I was craving savory. My boyfriend and I decided to getaway for the weekend and visit Sarasota. He mentioned that he wanted a really good breakfast on Saturday morning, so of course I yelped what was about and the "Breakfast cottage " popped up . And boy am I glad it did! The place is super cute it use to be a house and they turned it into a breakfast place , they have an outside areas with a tree that grows out of the deck with very cute decorations. We were greeted very fast by a friendly women server , we did not get her name but she was great. My boyfriend got the lobster shrimp omelette and he said it was so delicious he wanted to eat more of it. From the moment walking in the door and seeing the eclectic decor (which is completely adorable - not overdone) to the friendly and welcoming staff the experience was delightful. Now on to the food, the eggs Benedict were top notch! The Florentine with warm green tomato slices (my choice red or green, warm or cold) and the the Crab Benedict that had almost no filler and was strictly Center to edge crab, were exquisitely done and full of flavor. For a touch of sweet they have a homemade whip cream (used for other dishes) that I asked for a taste. Oh my! The flavor rang with vanilla and a touch of cinnamon. Delish!
