It was our first time visiting this restaurant, and we were looking for a place that felt welcoming and, of course, served bubbly. It happened to be my mother-in-law's birthday, and while she was on a call, I quickly stepped inside and met our wonderful waitress (I believe her name was Erica?).I mentioned it was a surprise celebration and asked if she could bring out three mimosas. By the time my mother-in-law walked in, the mimosas were waiting-such a thoughtful touch! The service was absolutely top-notch, the food was delicious, and the ambiance felt warm and inviting, almost like being in someone's home. Everything exceeded our expectations. This place was fantastic, service was right to it, the food- I had the classic eggs Benedict and my partner had the 2/2/2; the English muffin was perfectly crispy, eggs perfectly poached and the hollandaise was just right. A good breakfast I popped in this morning for breakfast. It was busy when I arrived, although it did thin out by the time I left. I can accept my interactions with my server were short and to the point to it being busy. I also knew what I wanted when she stopped by to take my order, so there was no need for any discussion. My decision? Their Homemade Corned Beef Hash. The food arrived in good time, about 10 minutes. It looked great, especially their house potatoes that were cooked with sweet peppers and onions. I like when a restaurant puts in an effort to improve on just serving potatoes. The corned beef hash was also cooked with strips of onions and had a nice overall texture, but I could not taste any corned beef flavor. To be honest that is not that uncommon when I order corned beef hash in restaurants, I just enjoy what I am served. It was my first time listening to Christmas music while eating, seemed a little early being a week before Thanksgiving. I suppose if Sarasota already has Christmas lights lit along Main St. the season has begun. I should have received more attention, especially towards the end of my meal when there were fewer customers. I've gotten used to servers checking with me to see if I'm doing ok, and topping off coffee throughout my breakfast. I didn't get the first, and my cup sat empty until I was about 4 bites from being done, when I was asked if I wanted more coffee. read more

Good restaurant in Sarasota. We went early on a Monday morning before heading home from a Siesta Key weekend. There was only one other table filled in there when we arrived. Had lunch with my partner. She had fruit crepes that looked pretty good. I had a "Greek" salad. I knew I was in trouble when the wait person asked what kind of salad dressing I wanted - I replied "Greek", but my best option turned out to be oil and vinegar. This could have been the least "Greek" salad that I've ever had. At best it was pile of mixed spring greens with a few anemic slices of tomato, red onion, a few sliced Kalamata, a minimal amount of feta, and no pepperoncini. Based solely upon my salad, I would not return for another meal. Their homemade chips did look interesting and I might gamble on a cheesburger if I happen to be the neighborhood again at lunchtime. read more

Paid extra for blueberry pancakes. It was worth it you can tell the made fresh to order. Our waiter was very accommodating and kept the cups full! Very professional and attentive. I find Eggs-Traordinary to be one of the best if not the best restaurants in 34241. The food is spot on every time and the service is excellent, always friendly. There are a few tables to eat outside and the restaurant is always clean. The menu has a nice variety of breakfast and lunch. I like to eat there twice or three times a month and my favorite is the veggie quiche which is always done to perfection. The side of fruit is bananas, blackberries, strawberries and grapes, always fresh and never the old melon standby. I highly recommend you give it a try...you will not be disappointed. read more

Nothing extraordinary about this place. I read online menu that the pancakes were "made from scratch". I haven't had pancakes in awhile. I asked the waitress how big they were as I don't each much and asked if they were a full plate, and she said no so I went for 2. No they were a big plate and if these are from scratch, change the recipe. All I tasted was OIL and not a fluffy pancake. I didn't need 2. The food I saw coming out didn't look like anything special. so I don't go out much because of the high prices and quality and service going down hill, and every time I do I feel like I should just take the $20 and put it in a shredder, cause that is the return I am getting. read more
