We walked in and I immediately got a great feeling that I was in a special place. It was quaint, clean and there seemed to be several wait staff (owners included) to wait and clean the tables which allowed for great service since it was kinda small inside with additional tables outside. Our gal, Terry, was very patient as I am indecisive to begin with but the menu had so many delicious items that I couldnt pick. Do make sure to check out the 'specials' menu listed ONLY at the front door as you walk in. $11.99 - I had a daily special called the 'Scrambled Egg Caprese' that consisted of 2 scrambled eggs, mozzarella, beautiful ripe red chopped tomatoes, fresh basil and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. It came with a home made biscuit that was honestly just ok and home potatoes that were tasty. I loved the egg caprese. $10.99 - My bf had a 'make it yourself' omelette with home potatoes & an english muffin. $3.95 - He had an orange juice which was kinda small, maybe 8 oz guessing and he thought it tasted like out of a plastic bottle but I thought it tasted fresh squeezed and we didnt ask so we'll never know. $10.99 - Lastly we had another 'daily special' of Blueberry Pancakes with Lemon Curd & whip creme. It cane with 3 pancakes. They were hot for the entire meal and honestly, I dont eat pancakes except maybe 1-2 times in my whole life but I couldnt get enough of these!! They were super delicious!!! It was a wonderful treat at the end of the meal, like a dessert in a way as it was sweet & tasty!! I always say you can tell how a business thinks about their customers based upon the toilet paper they use in the restrooms ... this place has soft, big rolls of Charmin .... double sheets!!! Upon arrival, you think your parking in front of someone's house. You enter on the side an walk up a ramp. You walk in and are greeted by the host to seat you. The bathrooms are also right there upon entry. It's Pretty tight and quaint, lots of local artists display their work for purchase. The colors give a dainty vibe. The tables are set with pastel cloth napkins, artificial flowers in a vase and unique whimsical salt and pepper shakers, menu and utensils. We had dinosaur shakers the first day and elephant ones the 2nd day. Coffee is good, water is served with lemon. We went twice during our weekend getaway. Day 1: I had a make my own omelet, it was good, however I was expecting the veggies to be mixed into the egg. It was not. The veggies, cheese and sausage were sautéed together and then the egg omelet was folded on top. So it was like they were cooked separately. Still good, but would have been better if cooked into the egg. I opted for the breakfast potatoes over the grits and they were good. I also got an english muffin instead of toast. That was also good. Day 2: I had the quiche, chicken and broccoli. It was perfectly portioned and good. It was not seasoned much, but that's is ok. You can add salt to taste. Hubby had blueberry pancake special and he liked it, had extra crispy turkey bacon. Son had pancakes and sausage links. They both enjoyed there food. I think you will enjoy this little place. This was the best breakfast I've had in Florida this trip. It's a very cozy, redone house for the restaurant location. And the servers were very friendly. But the food was the best part! I got a special for the day which was the Caprese Scambled Eggs. It was scrambled eggs with chopped tomato, basil, and mozzarella cheese with a balsamic dressing! It was beyond amazing.
