We loved The Breakfast Pig. Our party had the chicken and waffles. The chicken was very crispy and fresh. The Angela was so good. The goat cheese and balsamic raise it to the next level.

A great breakfast spot! We stopped in while passing through town and enjoyed our food here. Two of us got The Angela- delicious and so much food. We both had leftovers. We read the food is locally sourced, you can really taste the difference. The staff were friendly, the wait was quick and we were seated right away. Would recommend!

My first trip here was an interesting one- we came in and checked in on a tablet. A lady came over and let us know it'd be 10 minutes, and after 24 minutes, we were finally seated. The place was very small but cozy inside with a lot of tile work and art, many tables having shelves of hot sauce for decoration. We got our whole order in immediately and I found the pineapple mimosa to be pretty good, the acidic pineapple balancing out the champagne well. The spiked coffee was not very good according to the birthday girl, but was drank regardless. Our server was fairly clueless and couldn't answer many questions, her knowledge of the menu didn't match the promoted menu which left us confused at times that around 20% of it wasn't offered anymore. We often couldn't find her and she is the main reason that our trip earned four stars and not five. The food was the shining star here despite high prices, the French toast was very vanilla in flavor and the brown butter brought a lot of sweetness. Not nearly enough syrup was given but we didn't want to risk being charged for more and couldn't find our waitress anyways, so we went without. The bacon was the biggest disappointment for the food, paper thin and tasted like microwave bacon. It also blew my mind that two half strips of paper bacon cost $5.50 when the huge bowl of homestyle fries was $5, I love bacon but felt disgusted and cheated by what I was served. The potatoes were delightfully crispy and the hot sauce and egg added the perfect flavor boost to the meal. If this place stepped up their bacon game and got good quality meat, this place would be somewhere I'd be yearning for every week.

We had just arrive in the city and found The Breakfast Pig highly recommended so we decided to try it out.......WOW so glad we did....what a breakfast/brunch meal. I had the Sweet Potato Popper And my husband had the Korean Pork Mac & Cheese Skillet.....both dishes were amazing! We honestly did not have dinner with so much food. The Skillets dish's can definitely be shared. One more thing....the service and ambiance was great as well.

The menu on the restaurant's website has a vegan "Just Beyond" plate. When I traveled to the restaurant and attempted to order it, I was told that I looked at an "old menu" and there was indeed no Just Beyond option. I did get a complimentary coffee for my trouble and the staff were very nice.

Basic breakfast with the awesome toast. Hot sauces are self serve.

I rarely give 5 stars, but I can't find anything to criticize about The Breakfast Pig. Had to kill time while having a car tire replaced nearby so I popped in for a bite. Cool building,, very clean as well. The servers were cheerful and physically well put together which is increasingly rare these days. I had the bottomless coffee which was smooth but not overpowering, as diner coffee should be. And the basic breakfast with Back Bacon. The baked in house sourdough toast was a great touch. Good value as well.

In town for business and stopped here for breakfast before heading to the airport. If you're in "The Soo" and want a great breakfast, this is the place! Service is great and ambiance is very breakfast-y!

Great breakfast, fast, friendly and efficient service, with great ambience! Lots of unique menu items to go along with tried and true. It's not a big place, though they do appear to have the option to eat outside if you choose. It's not fancy, though it can be intimate - the tables are set up in a way that makes it feel like you are in your own space though you're sharing it with others close by. We walked, but parking on the street looks simple enough and they have their own lot. Free WiFi and beermosas that I didn't try, but I have to wonder..,

Excited to try this local gem!

Great sit-down breakfast spot in the heart of Sault Ste. Marie. Walked in to the busy restaurant and was greeted by the graceful smell of breakfast pancakes, sausages and coffee. We ordered the Korean Chicken Mac & Cheese and the Cream & Berries crepe. Mac and cheese was good! The only flaw was the chicken itself was overwhelming and a tad salty, but nonetheless, was still very good. Crepe was filled with fresh fruit and had yummy whipped cream on top. Both meals together were great for their value. Would definitely recommend for a brunch visit when in town!

Came here on a Friday morning around 10am for takeout. The patio was setup to welcome customers and about 50% of the tables were occupied. It is quite popular as more people showed up while we waited. There was also some seating available inside. Hand sanitizer was available and we saw waitresses wiping down the tables after customers left. Food-wise, the egg Benedict tasted great. Although their basic eggs, sausage, toast and home fries was a big let down. Scrambled eggs were flat and sausages were dry. They also tried to encourage us dine in because they didn't want their kitchen overloaded with too many takeout orders. Fortunately I convinced them to have our order as takeout.

Waffles with Nutella and bananas, plus bacon. Mmmmmmm!

He even wished my mom a happy Mother's Day before taking our order, which was a nice touch. We started with the Street Corn Nachos as an appetizer, then ordered a pulled pork sandwich and a grilled portobello mushroom sandwich, both with fries on the side (an additional $4 each). This was an excellent place to bring my mom since she's vegetarian, and the restaurant had plenty of vegetarian-friendly options. The food was excellent, especially the nachos -- the queso was amazing. The restaurant also gives you a lot of customization options, like swapping chips for fries for an extra $4 or adding protein to the nachos for an additional charge. That said, while the nachos were really good, they were still $18 without any protein, which honestly felt overpriced for chips, cheese, and vegetables. We came during lunch service, and overall the food, service, and view made for a great experience. However, it is definitely on the expensive side. Most entrees seemed to range from around $20-30. Still, if you're willing to spend a little more for quality food, generous portions, and a great atmosphere, it's definitely worth visiting.

My smoothie standards are sky-high, and the smoothie that I had a Watercolor Cafe was amazing. It was so good that I made everyone at the table taste it, and we agreed: superb smoothie. The Blueberry Bliss has blueberries, banana, white chocolate and oak milk in it. I wish there were a little more nutritious (maybe throw in some flax, hemp seed and/or chia), but maybe that's why it's so delicious. Another delicious thing: the Peanut Butter Deluxe Toast, which is creamy peanut butter and sliced bananas with a drizzle of honey on wheat bread. Super tasty and filling! I got the avocado toast, and it wasn't my favorite. The avocado tasted more like packaged guacamole, and I got it with an egg, which is literally a hard-boiled egg that sits on top. Also, the toast was more like just a soft piece of bread. I mean, I guess technically, all of the components are there, but the execution needed some work. The breakfast burrito was super tasty (it came with chorizo), and one of my kids got the kids' mac and cheese, which came with a cookie. When these guys say that breakfast is served until 11 a.m., they really mean it! We visited around 10:50, wanting to order off of the lunch menu, but they didn't let us. I think the only lunchy offerings during breakfast time is the kids' menu. The seating inside is very cute: There's a craft station with paper, coloring books, and all kinds of colored pencils and things to create something at your table. Outside, you can sit on the patio and enjoy the view of the lake. Dogs are welcome on the patio and given water and a treat!
