This place is probably the most hyped bar/restaurant on the island. And with good reason. The food is excellent and the drinks are strong. If you can, snag a seat on the patio and watch the boats come in.

If you love the song Pink Pony Club by Chappell Roan, this might be at the top of your list of places to check out on Mackinac Island. It's also well known for their outdoor seating. I was hoping to get a seat outside on the patio by the water, but it was a 90 minute wait, so Nate and I just grabbed a spot on the rail near the bar. The bar is very pink and fun. They're known for their rum runners, but I wanted something less sweet so I opted for a spritz. They have plenty of beer on tap and a full food menu, but we had just eaten. There is even a tiny stage behind the bar. I'm glad we got to stop by the iconic Pink Pony and might try to go again the next time I'm on the island.

We were so excited to try the Pink pony when coming to Mackinaw, as it is highly advertised online. The food was average, like your neighborhood Applebees or Chilis and the service was good, for how busy they were. The atmosphere is super cute when you walk in the door, especially the area behind the bar, but we were seated in another room. Overall I would say it's average.

The Pink Pony Restaurant seems to be one of the most popular restaurants on the island. The food was good, but not great. It's definitely not worth waiting over an hour to get a table. They have a menu for just breakfast, one for just lunch, and another for dinner.

We had a great experience at the Pink Pony! The food was delicious, cocktails were great, and the waterfront view made it even better. Service was friendly and attentive. There was definitely a long wait, but it was worth it! Great atmosphere, great food, and a fun place to eat while on Mackinac Island. Would definitely go back!

We came here for lunch and were told an hour and 15 minute wait. We only waited about 45 minutes. We were seated on the upper patio and got a lovely table right near the balcony that overlooks the water. I ordered the rum runner and husband ordered the spicy margarita and we both enjoyed our drinks. I ordered the chicken BLT with no lettuce and it came with a little piece of lettuce like it was on there and got pulled off (which is annoying when we are avoiding lettuce right now). The chips that came with them were pretty good, but fried a little darker than I like my chips. Husband ordered the fish tacos and enjoyed them but said they would have been better with a fried fish. The baby got a kids quesadilla and fries and it was one year old approved.

Food was good -- my patty melt wasn't melted and cool .. beer choices great. Busy place .. service was good. I would try elsewhere next time

Huge disappointment! Waited an hour for food and when I asked I was told slip didn't print to kitchen. Server was kind but if a table still has no food and everyone around us is being served wouldn't you question it. Also it was freezing in there. Just super bummed our time was wasted at a restaurant. We wanted to be able to see more on the island and not 90 minutes at sitting at a booth.

I quite like pink, this is the place for all things pink. Shopping bags, travel mugs or cups, bamboo bags, plastic or rubber pink bags, cloth to shopping bags, cardigans and anything your heart can imagine, they have it. They have Scout bags, super colorful, Vineyard Vines, to so much more. Some of their apparel items reminds me of Lilly Pulitzer style patterns. It's a smaller shop in the hotel and by the bar, but it's packed with fun items.

ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! our table was right by the water with a great view of the lake and the boats! our food was brought out quick, and our waiter was very friendly!

Patio was nice, food was ok but the staff was so RUDE! Literally ruined our whole experience on the island

I came here with a big group and it was very nice. The view, the wait staff -- all very good. We did have some baby strollers and they weren't very accommodating with that just fyi. Highly recommend the fish tacos and the fish dip if you're into that. The sweet potato fries (unphotographed) were also delicious. Skip the wraps and the prime beef sandwich in my opinion. Not special by any means. Ranch was elite here btw!

I brought my mother here for Mother's Day, and I'm really glad I did. Our waiter was very friendly and greeted us with a smile every time he came to the table. He even wished my mom a happy Mother's Day before taking our order, which was a nice touch. We started with the Street Corn Nachos as an appetizer, then ordered a pulled pork sandwich and a grilled portobello mushroom sandwich, both with fries on the side (an additional $4 each). This was an excellent place to bring my mom since she's vegetarian, and the restaurant had plenty of vegetarian-friendly options. The food was excellent, especially the nachos -- the queso was amazing. The restaurant also gives you a lot of customization options, like swapping chips for fries for an extra $4 or adding protein to the nachos for an additional charge. That said, while the nachos were really good, they were still $18 without any protein, which honestly felt overpriced for chips, cheese, and vegetables. We came during lunch service, and overall the food, service, and view made for a great experience. However, it is definitely on the expensive side. Most entrees seemed to range from around $20-30. Still, if you're willing to spend a little more for quality food, generous portions, and a great atmosphere, it's definitely worth visiting.

    Filet was so good!

Ask the Community - Pink Pony

Do they allow dogs on their patio?

I believe the answer is no, because you have to enter the establishment to go to the patio. Because this is a food and beverage establishment, I would tend to think the answer is no, as this being a public health issue. I could be wrong.

The wait was about 15-20 minutes - so much better of a wait time! I like the theme and vibe of the place - the play on bikes and name of the restaurant is perfect. Decor is bike themed but not overly done. Rustic and laid back. Our waitress was excellent - very friendly and attentive. All staff were wearing masks. Good drink menu in addition to food. A lot of small plate options but the portion sizes of the small plates could feed at least 2-4 people. I went with sweet potato fries and steak tender bites - delicious! The dipping sauces for the fries had three different options - sweet/savory, loved trying each one. The sweet potato fries were not mushy and had a good crunch. The steak was cooked to perfection - I asked for medium and I got medium! Everyone seemed happy with their food. Restrooms were downstairs. Nice dining option in the city - only con there was no outdoor seating. Picking up on social media - looks like this place used to be Huron St. Pub & Grill not sure if it was a re-branding or new owners. Either way, I hope Broken Spoke is here to stay on the island!

I traveled to Scotland and London, and this fish and chips beat out what I had while there. I am not a huge fan of steak fries, but these lived up to my expectations and had enough crisp on some to make up for the softness I associate with this type of fry. The Cole slaw was enough to be a meal in itself. But the fish, were the star of my plate and the tartar sauce...I need this recipe or a bottle of the sauce. My travel mate opted for the Ruben sandwich. I tasted the corned beef, had a great flavor to it. There were no complaints from our table. She also got a coffee to go, asked for cream...came out with the cutest little cream pitcher. The cup is also biodegradable, which is great since it would end up in a recycle bin along the way.
