What a great meal with 'welcome home' like customer service. I ordered the cinnamon roll French toast, eggs and bacon. My friend ordered the Huevos Rancheros. The Cinnamon Roll French Toast was a nice balance of sweetness, the texture soft, and beautiful buttery taste. I still used a little syrup, because othrwise it would've been a bit dry,but you didn't need much. This particular French Toast was not a 'meal' like the other French toast and pancakes. Therefore, I ended up having to order a la carte for my eggs and bacon. I did recommend to the owner Nikki to offer this as an upcharge as a 'specialty French toast' of sorts and INCLUDE the eggs and meat like the other meals. Instead, I was charged separately for side orders of eggs and bacon. Thankfully, the charge wasn't ridiculous and the eggs AND bacon were a generous portion. Still I ended up basically paying for two meals to customize as I wanted. HOWEVER, EVERYTHING was delicious. My friend thoroughly enjoyed the Huevos Rancheros. It was gone before I could even ask for a taste. The atmosphere was delightful! Creatively incorporated ACTUAL Cooper Kettles hanging along the wall in a bright, and clean dining room. The owners story seemed to come alive in the esthetic. This husband and wife duo work beautifully together accenting their separate strengths. Her working front if the house, Him- working back of the house. Homemade recipes kept alive through generations. There's greenery, whites, blacks, woods. Felt like a totally different vibe than the older, beachy, atmospheres nearby. The best part for me was the attentive and kind customer care from not only the wait staff but the owners themselves. The amazing part was my trip to the restroom. There's what I'm calling a 'joy wall' full of inspiration, scriptures and encouraging words. Cleanliness continued in the bathroom. Restroom cleanliness is a thing for me; telling of the overall environment and ethics of any restaurant in my opinion. Loved everything- The staff, the food, the ambiance. Even though I didn't appreciate the a la carte nature of my meal they STILL earned 5 stars. This will be a go-to Brunch stop for me whenever I'm in the area. Check them out! read more

My boyfriend and I came from San Marcos, Texas and stopped in this amazing restaurant for breakfast. from the moment you walk in the host was very pleasant, courteous and attentive, the interior is super clean and appealing to the eye, comfortable space with relax environment. They have a waitress who come around and bring the coffee (instead of your waitress) which it's awesome, it avoid long wait time for your morning coffee, and it tastes fantastic. Your waitress is quick to come to your table and they're super friendly, happy and attentive. The menu is filled with delicious healthy choices. We ordered a build your own omelette, with potatoes and the pancake dish consisted of scrambled eggs and ham. The ham is a good size, very moist and the eggs were perfectly made (not overcooked) with a glass of orange juice (tasted like fresh OJ). In my opinion, for the quality, portions and presentation, for the price was reasonable. They have plenty of nice sized parking spots and nicely paved. Overall I give this gem of a restaurant a five star. When you're in Pleasure Island or near by, it's worth checking it out. Delightful place for singles, couples, family and friends. Walked by this new establishment on the site of the old Frog Pond destroyed by Hurricane. Finally rolled in a few days ago. Terrific pleasant design inside with sea foam stucco walls adorned with the aforementioned copper kettles. After a friendly welcome, I sat down for a pancake eggs and bacon breakfast . Delicious and plentiful portion. My wife had a sumptuous quiche Lorraine. She is fussy and she loved the dish! Overall , happy we showed up finally and will return soon. Great for guests and family. Came here for brunch on a Saturday around 11:30/11:45. They were packed and people were already waiting outside. We put our name in and were told 20-25 mins, but shortly after we sat outside and the host found us quickly and said it would be more like 10-15 minutes which was appreciated him coming to tell us that. I ordered the the veggie omelette with fruit and grits and it was good and fresh, I like how they put the cooked vegetables over the omelette instead of cooked in with the egg whites. We came for brunch on Sunday morning after church. There was a short wait for a table. Some might remember this as a Frog Pond before the hurricane came through. So glad to see this local business opened after last year's hurricane! The owners are the nicest people (Nikki and Alex) and the staff is amazing (thank you Drea)!! Everything is scratch made and they really are proud of the recipes! The organic eggs were bright orange and cooked perfectly in both dishes. The huevos rancheros has house made black beans (soooo good!) and the touch of cilantro roemoulade was perfect and packed lots of flavor! The Crabcake Benedict was also hitting every flavor profile and more. The Homefries balanced a crispy and potatoey texture and you could tell from the first bite they were house made! The Copper Kettle is an absolute gem and is my new favorite breakfast/lunch spot. It's perfect for a couples date or a large family meal. The space has been fully remodeled and has a coastal comfortable feel. I tried the Huevos Rancheros with loaded black beans and a side of French toast. Everything was outstanding! We waited for what seemed like forever for the Copper Kettle to open once the Frog Pond left. Once we saw the open sign we were off to the races. We went for a late breakfast/lunch and I opted for Shrimp and Grits (S & G). Being from the South, grits are something I judge harshly considering it was a staple in our everyday and it's just one of those dishes that's hard to get right unless you are also Southern. That said, let me tell you what... the S & G here at the Copper Kettle are AMAZING. The grits were a bit thin, but the flavor profile more than compensated for that minor flaw. The food was great. I had the chicken and waffles. I will say their maple syrup lacks a tad in flavor. However, I am from MN so probably unfair for me to judge. It would be like going to MN and thinking the Seafood isnt up to par. The Chicken was absolute Money and the waffle was good. And above all else the service was perfect.
