My husband and I walked over to Stellas from our AirBnb this weekend. We have a yellow lab name Stella, so totally fitting move for us. We walked over here with our pups and sat outside on the side walk. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, giving them water and a dog menu. We quickly ordered some drinks and the coke was crisp and fresh! Top tier, in my opinion. We were undecided between ordering breakfast or lunch but once she spouted off the specials - we were hooked. We ordered the pride bagel sandwich and I'm still thinking about how delicious it is. We also ordered the biscuits and gravy which my husband polished off. The resturant has a homey, welcoming vibe, and I love the mismatched chairs and tables that give it a relaxed, eclectic feel. When we visited, it was very busy and buzzing, but the service never missed a beat. Our server was friendly, on top of her game and offered helpful recommendations. Despite the crowd, our food arrived in a timely manner and hot. My husband ordered the eggs Benedict. The eggs were cooked perfectly-when you cut into them, the yolk oozed out exactly the way a perfectly poached egg should. That said, he felt there wan't quite enough hollandaise sauce, and the sauce leaned a little too lemony for his taste. The English muffin also could have been toasted a bit more. The hash browns, however, were the star of the dish-perfectly crisp and well seasoned. I went with the Key West BLT with blackened mahi-mahi, served on a toasted sourdough with garlic aioli. The fish was blackened perfectly-well seasoned with lots of flavor-and paired nicely with the sandwich. I originally planned to order the house chips, but they were not available. Our server recommended the French fries instead because of their unique shape, and she was right-they were crispy and nicely seasoned. Most of the seating is outdoors under umbrellas, which adds to the laid-back Florida vibe. Overall, this is a lively neighborhood spot that feels full of locals who clearly love coming here. Came for Sunday brunch with a friend who had never been here before. First I think you created a lifelong love of your place with my friend she has already planned our next couple trips back! It had been a rainy morning so no wait and really nice breakfast weather. The waiter was amazing helping my friend decide between her top 2 choices and making sure we had everything we needed. The food as always was amazing. I had never had the fried green tomato benedict but it was delicious. My friend had the black bean cake breakfast platter and it was so good. The restaurant was busy. We grabbed our usual seat at the bar inside. They have plenty of seating inside and out. We were waited on right away by Cathy, and she was awesome. Can never decide when I know I'm not coming back. The biscuits and gravy looked promising for breakfast but I already had that and I'm way over any sad calories budget I had. Don't wanna order Mexican food in the South where it's not the specialty and even though the hangover burger looked cool I ended up with the Deep South burger. They said this place is known for fried green tomatoes. As you can see this burger can't be eaten like a regular burger so I just had pieces. And today I learned I do not like fried green tomatoes so there's that part. But it's solid otherwise and fries are great. As far as the venue goes. Overall this area is definitely uh. Liberal. Very clearly. Like a version of Newport Beach that West Hollywood took over, is the best I can compare it to. Its pretty and very obviously well off. Stopped in for brunch at Stella's while visiting Gulfport, an eclectic little artist town with tons of charm. The place was pretty busy (unsurprising for a weekend), but I was lucky to snag a quick indoor table. Major win, because it was hot AF outside. I went with the Chicken Fried Steak with a side of fruit. The chicken was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and surprisingly moist inside. The fruit salad was a standout: fresh, full of berries and pineapple, none of that filler melon nonsense. Love that. My eggs were a little rubbery, which knocked it down a notch for me, but overall still satisfying. Also tried the Spanish Omelette with chorizo. Solid flavor, and it came with a side of fresh cinnamon raisin bread. The bread had great potential but was served dry with no butter or jelly I would've loved just a little something to bring it to life. Service was top notch. Grabbed Stella's last week for a quick lunch and I was super impressed. I absolutely love a good smashburger and Stella's delivered. Really wonderful experience. Courtney is the best server I've had in a loooong time. She was super polite and offered solutions when I had a hiccup with my order. Good coffee and iced tea. They custom make it to order with liquid cane sugar. My husband had the special which was super tasty he said. It was a mojo pork hash which has tons of flavor without being spicy. My sister got plain toast and crispy bacon since she's pretty picky and the toast came out somewhat burnt and the bacon was a bit soggy and not crispy. Been waaaay too long since I popped into Stella's. When they first opened years ago, I crowed because at last, Gulfport had DECENT food! Other places on the G-strip have come along or changed owners which upped the game but Stella's is still a stand out. Even when the place is slammed, the staff remain friendly (plenty of staff get frazzled during a rush) and a little patience on the wait for a drink or food at times like this is much appreciated. I was torn between the cuban quesadilla and short rib grilled cheese. Ultimately, chose the latter because I wanted to try their potato salad. The sandwich was great, the potato salad tasted like Publix and a very, very skimpy portion. But the sandwich made up for it. We also had a couple boozy coffee bevs from the clever drink menu but again, I would have preferred a proper 12oz cold brew vs the 'martini serving' size that came in a plastic cup. It was delicious but when I order coffee, even a coffee cocktail, Just give me a proper amount of caffeine please haha! We also had the fried, ricotta stuffed zucchini 'flowers' which, nice concept but a bit on the bland side. My friend had the chicken salad and now THAT was a generous portion, came in a large metal bowl filled loaded with chicken and a heaping scoop of avocado. Our server brought our decaf coffee quickly and then I ordered a western omelet with sourdough toast. I didn't like any of the sides, but that was fine as a 3 egg omelet is big. I don't think I have ever seen food come so quickly. In under 5 minutes, someone from the kitchen brought our food. The omelet was huge, and hot. The toast was well buttered, which isn't always the case. We never saw our server as he was busy talking to other servers. Had to flag him down to get more coffee. I had checked in on Yelp and you get free coffee, which I showed to him, but when the check arrived, he hadn't deducted it. Overall, average food and not great service. We got their recommendations, and Banana French toast, Ruben (corned beef was a bit chewy), shrimp and grits (bit bland with barely cooked chunks of onion) were decent, but no standouts and none that we'd order again. Came in during the off-season on a Friday morning and there was still a pretty good crowd. That's usually a good sign. Was sat immediately outside (inside was full). There were a few tables of folks outside, all wearing their hoodies. Of note, they had heaters stationed outside, but it was a balmy 62 degrees, so for me, it was comfortable without being sat next to a heater. The wait staff was friendly and on the ball. I opted to try a smattering of breakfast offerings. The biscuits and gravy were surprisingly good.
