Neptune Grill was a wonderful dining experience. We started with three delicious appetizers: the dolmades topped with egg lemon sauce (not gluten-free), grilled octopus, and flavorful meatballs with mint and herbs served with a side of tzatziki. We also enjoyed a small Greek salad with the $1 potato salad add-on, next time we'll get the large greek salad that includes the potato salad, great value. For my entrée, I had the Chicken Fresca--perfectly moist charbroiled chicken served with a medley of vegetables and a baked potato. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and absolutely delicious. The restaurant is very clean, spacious, and inviting. The staff was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. We will definitely be back. read more

I would not recommend this place to anyone the octopus appetizer which was $20 was very skimpy maybe 2 ounces. It was grilled properly nice char on the meat as far as the Greek salad. It was four olives half of one tomato some lettuce. The feta cheese was good and a little tiny piece of a pita bread wedge and a Gyro meat, which was my option on the side, very dry and almost to the point of being brittle when you try to fold it it just cracked. I don't know what they were serving there, but it was very dry and potato salad was OK nothing to jump up and down and out. read more

Came in on a Friday afternoon before dinner and it was a ghost town. Fortunately, there was good parking outside as the dinner rush hadn't showed up yet. Be warned though, like everything in Gulfport, it gets super busy each night and doubly so on the weekends. Despite this being a Mediterranean themed restaurant, there were some Americana items on the menu. The wait staff was friendly and I was seated immediately. Drinks followed in short order. And I went with a buffalo chicken wrap (medium, but mild and hot are also available - of note, the medium has decent kick, so unless you're wanting to sweat, I wouldn't recommend going much hotter). Had that plus some fries (which were also good) and it was a great sub $20 meal. I'd think this is a great place for either lunch or dinner, but I'll have to make a return trip to try dinner sometime. I'm told the gyros are where it's at, but I wasn't feeling that angle. read more

I was very happy to see that Gulfport is recovering from the recent hurricanes. This restaurant was absolutely packed. I had the Gyro sandwich. It was good. My wife had the Greek salad and got a side of Gyro meat to go with it. Also good. Disappointed that the Greek salad doesn't come with potato salad without an upcharge. That's a fake Greek salad in my opinion. My kiddo got the kids meal burger. Surprisingly expensive for a kids meal. $10 for a burger and a small amount of fries when the adult burger is only a few dollars more. Probably would've just gotten him the adult burger if they actually had a kids menu that showed pricing. But even after this complaint... The kids burger was cooked well and my son enjoyed it. So, if you are in the Gulfport area, I guess I recommend Neptune. I can't give it five stars... It's just a four star. Good food, clean restaurant, not exactly inexpensive pricing. read more

I've been wanting to try this place so I'm happy they are reopened from the hurricane damage. The restaurant is beautiful and clean. Our server was very nice and also the food runners were great as well. Ok now to the food. I feel like they did some things great, others not so much. The not so much was the octopus and side rice. It was not good. Flavorless and all I tasted was the burnt grill and lemon juice. It was tender but flavor was lacking tremendously. Also the flaming cheese wasn't melty but it was good. Now the lemon soup was fantastic. The wings are cooked to perfection and the sauces were very good. The lamb and fish sandwich was mid. Overall it was a good experience but they should think about elevating the octopus and rice. read more

It has been a bit since we were here before, maybe 3 years or so. We thought it was OK then. This time was much better. I ordered the shrimp fra diavolo which was fantastic. Been meaning to stop by and we were at the Night Market and snuck in for a bite. My partner had some spanakopita with Greek salad and I had some fish & chips. Both meals were fantastic! Or waitress Jeannie gave great service and the owner Gus checked in with us and bussed our dishes. The place is clean and they have outside and inside seating. 8/21/24 Taco Wednesday Neptune's has brought back Taco Wednesday and better than ever with a few more choices...Taco salad and quesadillas, all looked great. Before covid they were doing Taco Wednesday then had to stop. After covid things got bit more expensive and they couldn't do it for the same price...But now its back, cost a little bit more but well worth it. I had the beef tacos with black beans and rice and the wife had the Taco salad. The two tacos were dressed just right with plenty of beef. The taco salad comes with a good size portion of beef as well...Though the two tacos and rice was enough, I like breaking off pieces of her taco bowl, mmmmm. If you missed taco Tuesday don't get down, there is still taco Wednesday in Gulfport. Also be sure to try the chicken souvlaki sandwich but it's actually a wrap. Overpriced Average Food. Disappointed as ordered a Pepsi, bowl of soup and cheeseburger. Bill came to $37 with tip but just average size burger and they up charge $2 for fries even though it includes one side and another $1 for cheese. Most restaurants have much larger burgers you can't even bite into and I have to bring home left overs but this one you can easily eat without cutting. Must say I don't think I will be going back as many other places with better food and portions for much less money. No problem with service but not worth the money. Sorry. Based on this visit I cant recommend. I ordered oysters as a appetizer and they came at the same time as my entree. The oysters or the sauce had a spoiled sour taste. The lamb chops should have been called lamb chunks. I ordered the medium and they were WELL DONE. They were way over charred and minus any type of salt, pepper or seasoning. The service was slow. They only had 1 server working the entire dining room. We never got hot sauce, lemons or napkins that were requested. We had six people in our party. Waters, tea and soft drinks were never refilled. There's an indoor dining room and outdoor bar area that has TVs and is dog friendly. They have a great selection of beer, wine, and cocktails (both Greek and non-Greek options) and an extensive food menu (again both Greek and non-Greek options). They did a great job with the timing of our food, so we got to enjoy our appetizers before our entrees arrived. My Neptune Chicken was wonderful. The flavors were all so good together that I wanted to eat it all, but it was such a huge portion I couldn't. The baked potato was a bit of a disappointment as it was very small. Came here on a Sunday during lunch with my family and the food and service was fast and delicious. My son had the grouper nuggets (ate them all except the one he shared with me which was delicious), my daughter had the kids pasta, and the grownups split some falafel, I had a Cuban sandwich, and she had a Gyro platter. Although there was some music blasting outside for a different party, inside things were quiet and the decor had a beach vibe mixed in with paintings of the Roman God Neptune.
