Tons of pinball machines! PNW draft beers, coolers full of seltzers, beer, cider and non alcoholic drinks options. Outside food allowed, tournaments on Mondays, beer discounts for tall boy Tuesdays and thirsty Thursdays. Such. Good time!

The Brewcade is exactly what Stanwood needed. A great lineup and variety of very well kept pinball games with some well chosen arcade games trickled in (NBA JAM!?) and all the TVs we could ever need. Also a nicely curated selection of really good beers/seltzers/ciders that shouldn't go under appreciated.

Echoing some of the reviews below, the BrewCade is exactly what Stanwood needed. What a relief!!!! This place was great! We were running errands in town & I had seen the BrewCade on a local fb group. We decided to stop in. Games, beer, what could go wrong? Everything went *right*. The bartender was welcoming, friendly, prepared, great selection of beers on tap & in the fridge. Yum! The games were so fun. I expected to feel intimidated (Think: Stranger Things/80s movie arcade competitions), but no. Big Buck Hunter, NBA jam, PinBall of every shape & size; Jurassic Park, racing games! My bf turned into a giddy 12 yr old again - & same! Another huge plus is the TVs. Yes. Why has it always felt so hard to watch the game at a bar in Stanwood? The BrewCade appears to be designed by someone that *also* wants to watch the game at a bar. Deep joy. While there is no in-house food, they had snacks for sale & there are 4 restaurants within the same complex. Don't fix it if it ain't broke. Shockingly - prices were GREAT. $6 for a beer. $0.50-$1 per game! At most venues in AZ, I would expect to pay at least double that. I could have spent all day here. We will absolutely be back!

The menu offerings vary widely from traditional breakfasts to creative takes on Benedict's, sandwiches, sweet pancake variations and more, and the quality is decent. The drink program is pretty exceptional; their house-made Bloody Mary variations are well worth the price, delicious and spicy. And they have an entire section devoted to tiki-style drinks, including shareable "fishbowl" variations, which could be a novel way to kick off a summer weekend, indeed! Side note: the coffee is unexpectedly good. Service can be a little spotty; they could improve this by adopting a more cooperative, team-service style. More than once, we saw servers struggling to juggle inside and outside service, while their less busy colleagues checked their phones or chatted with each other. True: it's the only brunch there is here, without a long drive to a neighboring community. But they do a fair job and the prices, for now, are under control. Recommended.

I was hungry and came in for a very late lunch…read more Because I came in just before a shift change, it was a while before I could get my beer order placed. My server was very pleasant, but I can't really say that she did as well as she could've. For example, I ordered the cheeseburger and added onions. It must have sat for a little bit in the kitchen, because it was barely warm when it arrived, minus the onions. My server was at the table behind me, chatting, and very slowly taking the order of two women who must've been locals she knew. I was patient for a while, but eventually tapped her on the shoulder and asked her to talk to me when she finished taking their order. Meanwhile, my cheeseburger continued to get colder. When she finally finish baking their order, she turned me, and I mentioned that I had asked for onions on the burger. She nodded, and then she went to the bar, proceeded to restock the cooler, and did other tasks. At this point, the burger is cold. I push it away from me, and I am going to ask them to take it off the bill. I had not taken a bite, mind you. Another server comes over and asked if I would like a box. II told him it was cold, did not have the requested onions on it, and I had no interest in it whatsoever. He apologized profusely and said they are happy to make me another. I usually do not like to send back food to the kitchen, but I made an exception in this case. In a reasonable time, someone who I guess was the kitchen manager brought over a freshly cooked burger. There were onions, but they were finally diced, which I don't understand, because they just kept falling out of the burger. Why wouldn't you just put in a slice? The burger was overcooked and not well seasoned and at the end of the day, I thought the food was rather mediocre. This place gets an extra star because my original server did come over and sincerely apologize for the issues with the food. Nevertheless, it is not a place I would come back to. Maybe best left to the locals.

I came for the food -- in my case a Reuben sandwich stuffed to the gills -- and coleslaw, though obviously most people choose fries in one of the available variants. Both the sauce on the sandwich and the slaw had a kick to them - a hint of heat that added to the whole. The food was promised for 15-minutes, but took less than 10 -- I like it when promises are kept or even exceeded. The pub had three distinct seating areas: outside in the courtyard, outside under a deck (sheltered, with transparent vinyl sheeting to block the wind, and inside. This is a place where you order and pay at the bar, then find yourself a seat. It's not fancy, it's not upscale, but it's solid with good food and brews. The service was friendly and competent, but young and a touch overly enthusiastic (I'm not fond of being repeatedly called "my man" - not so much because it's excessively familiar - which it is, but because the enthusiastic repetition of the phrase at every chance is a bit forced and formulaic).

The bartender, Lucy, repeatedly added money to the tip jar without asking, which left me feeling like my money was being taken without my consent. The food has also gone downhill, and the area around the bathrooms consistently smelled like urine. The biggest reason I won't return is the new security guard. Based on my own experience, he previously came into the bar when he didnt work there and frequently made young women uncomfortable by hitting on freshly 21-year-old customers and staring at people from the corner and makeing nasty comments . Now he's working security and using his phone while checking IDs, which did not make me feel comfortable. I know this man and im not letting him take photos of my id for his stash. The atmosphere has completely changed. What used to feel like a neighborhood bar now feels like an over-policed club. Security constantly follows customers around, making it impossible to relax and enjoy yourself. On top of that, the security guard regularly smokes in the entrance, blowing cigarette smoke toward customers as they walk in. It's unprofessional and creates a terrible first impression. From what I personally observed, many of the other employees seemed frustrated with the behavior of these two staff members as well. After more than a decade of being a loyal customer, I'm extremely disappointed in what this place has become. I can't recommend it to anyone. There are plenty of better bars that treat their customers with respect.

Good crew here, and they manage the sometimes rough clientele with humor and grace. Cigarette and cigar smoke often blows into the restaurant from the cancer garden out back. If it bothers you acutely, this might not be a good choice. Too bad they only cater to card-playing here; pool tables and real darts would draw a more varied crowd. But I get the impression they're happy with things as they are here, and that's fine. An ok place to knock the dust off with a brew or two, and grab a decent bite, and play cards if that's what you like. If the smoke don't choke ya, it's otherwise a good dive. When I entered, I was immediately greeted with a smile and a welcome, which felt good. I drove an hour to get there and it just set the tone right away. I was low-key impressed and thankful to have a friendly bartender, as the last time I went (2 yrs. Ago) I felt the service wasn't the best. This was a different bartender. I asked about their brews and was informed they'd switched a bit. So, I ordered the Hazy and the Blonde, both of which are brewed in-house by SAAL. They were. both great. Good body on the IPA and almost no bitterness. The blonde was good too, although blondes aren't my typical go-to personally, so maybe I'm not the best judge of that. The owner came and spoke with me for a minute about their business and how 2020 had inspired them to brew the Hazy. I think it's called "All Love" or something similar, and it had something to do with the riots of 2020 and how we needed more love in the world. I dunno, felt inspired. It was a good conversation and I felt that the owner is passionate about what he does. Which I really liked. A business I want to support. The poutine I ordered was good but not great. I don't usually order poutine so I had low expectations but it just feels like it's just in the menu for the sake of being on the menu. Nothing felt inspired or original and this dish would benefit greatly from a little recipe switch up. Maybe use a better gravy and crispier fries? It could be great. This didn't detract from the experience for me, as like I said, I had no expectations from the food. I just wanted something to stave off the hunger until I got home.
