Came here the other night with three other couples and everything was great! We ordered six apps, the tables favorites were the Asian shrimp & calamari- I personally would pass on the spinach dip as it was just sooooooooooo much stretchy cheese and not really creamy, and I'd pass on the ribs as they weren't tender. Everyone ordered different entrees but crowd favs were the tableside tomahawk, short rib, and cod! The truffle fries were so aromatic it almost made myself and a couple others at the table feel sick but all of the other sides were great. The bean and bacon soup and French onion soup were amazing! Been here several times. This time I had Cajun tenderloin pasta. I thought it was a strange name. In the description it says shrimp, spinach, peppers and Cajun crème. When it came it did have tenderloin pieces in it. It was very strange. I think I'd ask next time if they would swap out the tenderloin for sausage. It was not the right taste nor texture. It is a very strange combo. If I were to order tenderloin, I would eat it alone. My dad liked his liver and onions. Service was excellent as always. I will go back but try something else. It's been years since we've been here and decided to go here for dinner. I was very disappointed. I got the special grouper dinner and it was okay, not great. The parmesan risotto was average and slightly undercooked. The tomatoes/onion mixture was cold and vinegary which I didn't like. I did order the mushroom soup instead of a salad which I was glad since the soup was very good. Thought this was a very expensive place for the quality of food. Ambiance and wait staff are consistently fantastic. However the bar and cocktails are consistently just straight up bad. I could make better cocktails than their bar tenders. 3 out of the 4 times the food was great. My last and 4th time I ordered a filet medium rare, it came out blue. I sent it back and it came back charred. Management comped me but honestly, after 190 dollars, 2 truly bad cocktails, and a truly bad steak I'm just done. read more

This place had good atmosphere and the food was pretty good however to begin with when we ordered our drinks they brought my friend a very warm beer and an extremely dirty glass. Not a good way to start your meal for the price point that they charge. I will say management did make an attempt to make it right however, the glass that they brought us should not have been brought in the first place. The other bad thing is was it took an exceptionally long time between visits from our waitress we got there at 7:30 PM. Growing up. The Brewery was always a favorite of my grandfathers and I remember going often. I haven't been back since he passed, and quite honestly forgot about it. It popped up a few months back on a friends IG story and I knew we had to go back and try it. Walking in, brought back many memories and I know why my grandfather loved it so much. We had a fantastic dinner with a lovely server who was very attentive. My husband had the salmon, which while he said was very good-he is looking forward to trying other items as well. I got the most perfectly cooked filet (medium rare), with house salad (that house dressing-omg) and garlic mashed potatoes and it was absolutely delicious. I don't think the upgrade for the mashed potatoes was worth it personally, but I'm glad I tried them. We will definitely be back soon. I thought I took photos, but apparently I was just too hungry. read more

I've always loved The Brewery, and yes, I will continue to go. I've been going here for decades and they have the best tasting Ribeye around, by far. But I have to give it a three star, because lately things have been just middle of the road. Average. My last visit, I had to send my medium ribeye back, because I had asked for medium rare. It was just too overcooked. My brother-in-law's veal chop was also overcooked, but he just ate his. My husband's $85 crab legs did not have a good flavor. I don't know that you could consider this a restaurant issue, every crab is different, but these just tasted fishy. It was a lot of money to spend on something that was.....meh... The most disappointing thing about my meal was, I had cut a portion of the meat off the bone and was eating from that piece. When I had it wrapped up, they did not put the bone in the box. The bone still had a ton of meat on it. I had only cut a portion of the steak off the bone. I was so upset when I got home and realized that they had only included a portion of my carryout! We have tried a few desserts here. I felt the cheesecake was just OK. Not as good as the cheesecake at Longhorn. Similarly, I felt the carrot cake was OK. A little spicy for my taste, and not nearly as good as the carrot cake at Stoney River in Troy. Our waitress was great. Should you go here? Special occasion? Absolutely. Give it a try. Order your ribeye at a temperature lower than what you prefer. They will always put it back on the grill if needed...and stop for dessert somewhere else on the way home. read more

Amazing service and atmosphere. Very attentive staff starting with delicious hot bread. I had filet which was cooked to perfection and melt in your mouth quality. It came with a luscious house salad and old Fashioned baked potato with sour cream. My husband had the New York strip with all of the same exquisite quality. I have driven by this place many times and always wondered about it. We finally made a reservation for dinner last night and it was amazing! It is not actually a brewery at all but more of an old school Italian-American steakhouse. For appetizers we had tuna poke, Asian shrimp, and octopus salad. WOW that octopus was perfectly cooked. It was so good. The Asian shrimp was very tasty and I liked the slaw it came with. The poke was actually very fresh tasting and good. Our entrees were also amazing. I had the braised short rib with horseradish risotto and crispy onions, so tender and delicious! The veal parm was a nice size portion and so good. The bolognese and shrimp scampi were also very good. Our server was very prompt and nice. The manager who stopped by our table was so funny and nice as well. 4 1/2 stars. The service is great. Lindsey and the staff stayed on point with answers, bread, water refills, and checkups. She even offered to take back the appetizer that I accidentally ordered. It was my bad, so we kept it but appreciated the offer. The Braciole is, for sure, a top item. When they say limited availability, they mean it. Anyhow, it is a hardy meal with various flavors. It hit me. This is a lean to the Italian side of the restaurant world. The rice was a different firm and tasty item. There was no way to eat all of this meal in one sitting. The Wagyu Meatloaf had a taste that was not like the typical beef or beef and pork mix. I was able to swipe and couple forks from my greedy kid of his plate, lol. It was a good tasty swipe with mash potatoes. The shrimp pasta was kinda of basic with the shrimp as the standout. But the service and Braciole made up. I even eye-balled someone's lambchop. I have called 3 Tuesdays in a row trying to book NYE Reservations, I was asked how many people were in my party and I told them eight. They said to call back because they weren't taking reservations yet which I have done and this is my THIRD Tuesday to be told reservations are FULL by the manager! Unacceptable! Great service and delicious food! We had the salmon and braised short ribs for entres, and they were both delicious! The salmon was paired well with the sauce and cooked to perfection! The braised short ribs were also quite tasty and pulled apart easily. For dessert, we had the NY style cheesecake and the cream puff. It was a very generous portion and definitely hit the spot! The staff were friendly and fast with service. The restaurant had a classy ambiance with dimmer lighting but still lively at the same time. There were a number of people at the bar when we were there on a Wednesday evening. They own a huge parking lot out front, so it was super easy to find parking! Came here tonight with friends. The service was good. A bit slow, but it looked like our waitress was also taking care of several large parties too. Although there were a lot of patrons and it was loud we could still hold a conversation. I had the salmon and others had lamb chops and New York strip. One order of lamb chops were over cooked, but still tender. Overall were happy with the food. Ordered the carrot cake to go. Not worth the price. Small piece and the frosting was not cream cheese and too sweet. That is my main issue. Will come back again, but no dessert. read more

First off, making reservations is the way to go. The food here is amazing! I planned a staff dinner here for the holidays. They confirmed our reservations that morning and we had a table ready when we arrived. The place was very busy but we were not in any rush. We had a great time. The appetizers we loved were the cauliflower spinach dip and the stixs& shrimp. Both were full of flavor and great for sharing. I ordered the short ribs and they were the best, like mouth watering amazing! The rest of the group had filets and they were all happy. I think all but one were cooked perfect. First off the only reason I gave four stars was because I asked for my steak to be cooked medium rare and there was no trace of even a little pink let alone rare. Fortunately it was a ribeye so it was still quick flavorful and not worth it to make a fuss. The shrimp appetizer was probably the tastiest and I could have eaten a large bowl of those and been very satisfied. My companions had the Lobster tails, Salmon, and another steak and they all said their dishes were very tasty. For desert we had creme brûlée and tiramisu and they were both worthy of four stars as well. The staff was friendly and followed all of the guidelines we are being asked to follow right now. My family has been coming here since the 80's.  My Grandmother owned a small paint/hardware store in Fraser, and always supported local businesses.  Most of my Aunt's and Uncle's birthdays, and often my birthday, is hosted by The Brewery.  That all changed on my last visit. I'm pretty forgiving about my food, as long as it tastes good.  I am generally happy, even if it is not perfect, and rarely send a meal back.  I have never had a bad experience at The Brewery, until my last visit. My gf ordered the calves liver, med-rare.  Dish came out perfect.  I ordered the NY strip, rare.  I actually prefer a true medium rare (cool red center), but eastside restaurants never get it right, so I order rare on this side of town. (I'm from the east side, but the west side steakhouses have us beat.  No use pretending.)  I would rather eat a steak cold and purple in the middle, than overcooked. My steak was not just a little overcooked, it was well done, at best; brown all the way through. Wayne usually takes care of us, or stops by to check on us, but he wasn't there that night, or at least I didn't see him.  Another gentleman was very accommodating, as was our waitress.  They both agreed that my steak was way over cooked, and took it back.  The issue is, I sat there with no food for 25 minutes, as my date ate and I filled up on soup, bread, Spanish coffees her meal, and my potato.  My steak came out later, cooked much better, but I was largely full by this time.  My gf was done eating, and wanted dessert, so I put my meal aside to catch up on the dining experience with her, and didn't touch my steak at all. The manager joked that my gf ate more than I did, I was going to make a snarky comment about my meal, but it was not worth it. If he could not see his gaffe, it should not be up to me to explain it for him. They were out of the desserts that we wanted (creme brulee and cream puff w/ ice cream), but we had a lava cake and called it a day. Lava cake was mediocre, kind of dry. All in all, not getting my meal with my date ruined the dining experience and ruined a $135 meal.  I left disappointed. To be fair, my future patronage of The Brewery did not change simply because of one bad meal. It was how they handled it that mattered to me. After the bad meal, and bad experience with management, I contacted The Brewery via their stated customer service on their website: joebrewery@gmail.com, and received no response. It will be years before I give this place another try. read more

I have never walked out of a restaurant due to lack of service in my entire life. The bartender stands around and chats while I've sat there with an empty drink. This has happened multiple times to me. I've sat there waiting and waiting to get my food ordered. The last time I was there I ordered the stuffed mushroom. ***Let me point out you receive ONE stuffed mushroom, that's ridiculously overpriced**. I asked one of the owners why he never has a happy hour and he replied and I quote "because I don't need it. " Pretty arrogant reply if you ask me EXTREMELY poor service, EXTREMELY overpriced food. Never again, this place has gone down hill and deserves zero stars. I will never walk into that outdated, dark, overpriced outdated restaurant again. My money spends well everywhere. read more

Their steak, chops, and fish are always on point. Their deserts, especially the carrot cakes a great. They also have a full bar and excellent staff.
