Just attended my second event at this beautiful space. Both the food and the service were outstanding. I can honestly say that every single course from start to finish were excellent. I had the salmon as my entree and it was cooked to perfection. My husband had the chicken which he also thought was excellent. Even the desert in their cute little containers were superb and plentiful. We were repeatedly offered extra servings of desert, which we took! The Briarcliff Manor is an amazing wedding venue. Kelsey and her team have everything on the back-end running like a well-oiled machine, but it felt very intimate and personal. They went above and beyond, with our bridal attendant throwing the veil over and over again until we got the perfect shot. There are so many good spots for photos, even indoors if rains. The sunset behind the ceremony sight is amazing, and the swing is such a nice touch. I've seen other reviews saying the music isn't loud enough because it's near a residential neighborhood.. I can't say enough about how great the staff and venue were for our daughter's recent wedding. Five stars in every way. They made a special day go perfectly. Briarcliff Manor is not a bargain operation, but you definitely get what you pay for. The site is beautiful and in great condition. Sometimes historic buildings look good on the outside, but they are not in great shape inside. Like paint is scuffed along the floorboards or curtains are faded or one room has water damage on the ceiling. Not Briarcliff. Everything is in top condition, from gleaming floors to well-trimmed hedges and pretty plantings. And then you have the Hudson River and NJ hills in the distance when you are in the back yard space for a wedding or reception. Lovely. The food was excellent as well, both hors d'ouevres and then a sit-down dinner. I've had a lot of bad food at weddings and bar-mitzvahs and fund-raisers. This was good food, served with grace. Finally, a shout-out to all the staff. They did a dozen things to make all of us feel welcome. Here are two examples for me. I noticed the groom's tuxedo was wrinkled. The staff at Briarcliff had a steamer that took out the wrinkles. And when I asked for a piece of wedding cake to -go, for my aging father who couldn't attend, they packaged it beautifully and made sure that I didn't leave at the end of the night without it. Perry/Emily ruined our first dance, skimped on food, ate our outside catered food so guests didn't have any, and were rude to guests. STOP DELETING POOR REVIEWS & ADDRESS THE ISSUES INSTEAD OF LYING & THREATENING US TO TAKE THIS DOWN. All our vendors except Perry asked us for reviews, a sign that Perry knew he did a poor job. See yelp and google for other couples' experiences about deleting, poor service, and skimping on food. Perry ruined our first dance by playing his version of our song even though our DJ & my husband spent 20 min with Perry preloading our song (which was a mashup) and tested the volume. Perry played his version of the song THREE TIMES on repeat and our mash up never came on. He lowered the music so low that none of our guests (who were 2 feet away) could hear. We have video evidence of this and were dancing awkwardly to no music like fools. People had no idea what was going on. The worst part is my husband wasted 20 min during cocktail hour to sort it out with the DJ and Perry. He missed a lot of the food and our limited time with our guests. Perry didn't bother apologizing for his mistake, which is in sharp contrast to our DJ who apologized multiple times (even though it wasn't his fault as the DJ had preloaded his mix tape & tested the volume with Perry so all Perry had to do was press play! Despite paying for 75 guests, there was not enough food for our 64 guests. Some guests told us they didn't get steak and dinner portions were small. We paid extra for an upgraded coffee bar and desserts but didn't get it. We paid for 7 appetizers but guests said they only received 3-4. My family tried looking for all of them. My brother asked a waiter for more and the waiter walked away. My husband noticed the poutin ran out and he asked Jimmy to bring more out after 20 min of it not being refilled. Jimmy (bless him!) was the only sweet one there and brought it out immediately. Jimmy was very attentive to us. At the end of the night, people were supposed to get water, pretzels and sandwiches and no one passed them out. Thankfully, two of our friends noticed and grabbed the baskets of sandwiches that were hidden in the corner and started giving them to guests. We brought food from an outside vendor, and Perry/staff tasted our food prior to the guests getting their portions (they told us the food tasted good before it was even served!) so some guests didn't get walnut shrimps. They limited the portions so a small plate served 6 people. See photo. WHERE WAS THE REST OF OUR CATERED FOOD?! Perry called THE DAY BEFORE our wedding to complain and ask for more money. He was upset that we were close to our headcount of 75. Our guest count was 64 and we had 8 vendors which, combined, is still less than 75. We PAID for 75 people and had 64 guests. He said our wedding was more work because it was outdoors and the potential rain added extra stress. These are things he knew in advance so why was he complaining to us about this THE DAY before?! We tipped them $1000 at the beginning of our wedding night in hopes of better service (this is on top of the 22% tips and 10% tax). Day of coordination was a mess. I was not given notice before something happened and was rushed to go somewhere. For example, my bridesmaids were not notified of our dance so they missed it :( our videographer said he almost missed the cake cutting because no one told him it was happening but thankfully our videographer was observant and ran over before it was over. Two friends came 30 min early to help set up the place cards and Emily snapped at my friends. Emily still messed up the place card seating so guests didn't know where to sit. I had to ask guests to get up and move to the right table. Even our guests noticed Perry's sour face (guests actually asked us why he looked so unhappy) and how rude Emily was. It seems everything major went wrong but even other items that shouldn't have been an issue, were issues: - They didn't serve the bottom layer of our cake, which we had no idea until guests told us that they didn't see the third flavor of the cake. Perry didn't bother telling us. We didn't get to eat the top tier on our one year anniversary. - No one told us the photo booth was set up so we paid for 3 hours but guests only used it for one hour - They kept the lights on super bright during dancing so guests would be encouraged to leave and told us that was the dimmest Things are bound to go wrong at weddings but they RUINED SO MANY IMPORTANT moments - all of which are captured on our wedding video. It makes me cry when I watch it because so many things went wrong that it felt purposeful. I hope no other couple experiences this. I debated writing this for a long time but caved when our guests encouraged me to so that no other couple experiences this. I'm glad I did given the nasty email they sent us and trying to delete our reviews. They never apologized or called, another sign that they knew they did a poor job. read more

Got married here fall of '23 and have been taking our time thinking about what and how to describe our experience. For context, we are quite familiar with the area and NYS, and at the time of our planning, lived a number of hours away by car. DISCLAIMER: IF YOU ARE: planning a very traditional wedding, and/or are taking a hands-off approach to planning, and/or are in a situation where budget is not a concern and you have a number of planning supports, this will likely be an ideal venue for you, and that is great; I am happy for you! IF YOU ARE: anxious about planning, taking a hands-on approach, budget-conscious, navigating a lot of things yourself, and ESPECIALLY if you are planning to do anything at all that is non-traditional, read on. I'll start with positives. They say "it all starts with great food," and they've got us there. It does take pressure off knowing that all your food is in-house. That included a tasting, signature cocktail and bar, cocktail hour apps, desserts, and some flexibility in terms of what items went where, and when dinner started. The view was fantastic. The venue itself is also great looking and recently underwent some upgrades (the ballroom opened up in the back by large windows, and a refinished floor). On the day of our wedding, everything went just about as perfectly as we could have imagined. We particularly thank Erica and Stephanie for their attention to detail for us and our guests, and that they made us feel like we were truly in the middle of one of our most meaningful days, as well as an excellent group of staff including servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, and everyone else that made things happen on the day of. So, you might ask, what could have possibly been a negative? Up to and including the day before the wedding you could have asked me, do you think this'll go well, or do you think this'll be a disaster? And my guess would have been 50/50. The reason for this is due to large gaps in and lack of communication with venue management prior to our wedding. We booked far in advance, and figured communication would improve starting the year of our wedding, more so about 6 months out. Additionally, we signed up for day-of wedding coordination via the venue as an additional service, which included "bi-weekly calls 3 months out from your wedding date." Things did not seem to improve. We regularly had to follow up, CC general emails, follow up again. When we got to day-of coordination meetings, not only did we start late, but they felt rushed. Our coordinator experienced personal family obligations during 2023, of which we are of course sorry for and understanding around. And, it is notable that issues were occurring regularly across our entire planning process, not just at that time. Typically, the responses we received were acknowledging that it has been very busy with weddings. But this is the venue's bread and butter, no? And, we did manage to always get timely reminders, both automated and personal, about when next payments were due. I had to sub out calls for "20 questions" style lists of both broad and specific topics, multiple times, within weeks of our date to get info on how vital details of our day would go, including menu and timeline. The fact that we designed and supplied our own decor added to the stress, despite the fact that setup was included in our day-of coordination cost (we ended up opting to set decor up ourselves the day of; we did not trust the setup would be completed properly). The lack of effective communication and planning left us feeling anxious and frustrated directly leading up to our wedding. We felt with booking with lots of time to spare and adding day-of coordination that we would be relieved leading up to our wedding, not feeling intense dread. Every other vendor we worked with was great, and as responsive as you would want. Looking at reviews, I have seen that others have shared similar experiences. It sounds from other reviews, other times things do go smoothly. I'm happy for those couples. Maybe you'll get lucky. Or, maybe not. read more

We had our wedding reception at The Briarcliff Manor in November 2022, and it was AMAZING! We highly recommend using The Briarcliff Manor as your wedding reception venue: Emily (the director of events) and her team did a fabulous job every step of the way! We immediately fell in love with the historic manor: it exuded classiness, tradition, and elegance. We were impressed with the food and beverages offerings, which exceeded those of their competitors. We also appreciated the location, about 30 minutes south of West Point, NY, where we held our wedding ceremony, and 15 minutes north of Tarrytown, NY, where we reserved our room block. Emily King answered all of our questions and was very patient and helpful throughout the consultation process. She provided a list of recommended vendors with whom the venue had worked with in the past, and all of these vendors were excellent. The food was delicious. During our tasting (approximately 3 months before our wedding), we sampled many different options. Their bartender provided samples of two unique cocktails they could make, and was open to suggestions. This ultimately allowed us to choose a Trader Vic's original Mai Tai (think rum punch, without the dark floater) as our signature cocktail. They provided numerous options for our guests with gluten intolerances and our vegetarian/vegan friends and family. Selecting the foods was easy, and Emily and her team answered all of our questions along the way. On the day of, the venue looked beautiful! We did a lot of the decor ourselves, and Emily worked with us to pre-position decorations and flowers so that we had less to do day-of. We did our own DIY florals (from Costco), which turned out beautifully. One small surprise for us was the venue's "setup fee," which surfaced after a consultation with Vincenza, their in-house design specialist. The setup fee was about $500 for DIY flowers. However, Vincenza was able to rent us linens, chargers, vases, and a cake stand, which helped reduce our burden. We had to constantly reiterate our vision to Vincenza, but luckily Emily and our MC were able to make it a reality. Our cocktail hour was outdoors, on their beautiful back lawn overlooking the Hudson River. The Briarcliff Manor put out more than enough heat lamps (like you see in outdoor restaurant seating) and built a medium-sized bonfire in the fire pit. The amount of food and beverages for the cocktail hour was exceptional: there was so much! All of our guests raved about the food and beverage options at the cocktail hour. The ballroom looked stunning. The team made our vision of a classy, elegant, yet cozy wedding come to life - no easy feat when you have 140+ guests! Table service was prompt and attentive. Our guests ordered their meals at the table, which helped eliminate the hassle of pre-ordering via guests' RSVPs. The kitchen did a phenomenal job getting everyone's meals out on time. Chris, the maitre'd, kept everything running smoothly. He and our MC perfectly timed everything so that guests could eat, dance, and drink throughout the night. We want to point out a few things for out-of-town couples. We communicated pretty effectively with Emily and The Briarcliff Manor team via email throughout our 11-month planning process. We made regular payments in-person (about every 3 months) and were generally able to schedule those payments with a consult, or a vendor fair, etc. The Briarcliff Manor graciously offered us a cash discount. They also offered a $5 per person incentive, which we applied to a special option (lamb) for our cocktail hour. We had to be very clear about our DIY plans and vision, especially because it was out of the norm for Vincenza, but everything worked out well. Had such a great time here tonight such a quaint beautiful manor kept up perfectly and well run and owners keep on top of everything. all the waiters great and friendly and worked so hard to keep everyone happy. Perfect day for outdoor cocktail hour with great apps the waiters walked around with. Then sit down dinner starting with Caesar salad. Then a plate of penne alla vodka pasta cooked perfectly sauce was good just a touch too thin. Ordered chicken Francese chicken cooked perfectly sauce little clumpy but good taste. Desert was great whole dessert station and cake to the table. Plenty of parking and the views are great. A great place to hold any type of party. read more

There's those moments where you just know. Maybe it's when you meet someone, you know they're special. Maybe when you go car shopping and you see a car with the price tag you want. Maybe it's an apartment, that after so many obvious "no ways", that this is a no brainer. The Briarcliff Manor was that for our wedding venue. We saw places that were small and so expensive. One room with virtually nothing offered, for how much? We're good. We saw places that were ridiculous with what they were asking for. $2,000 to rent the broom closest so the groomsmen had somewhere to be? No thank you. We saw places that the second we stepped into, we walked right out. The Briarcliff Manor was the place where we knew right away was going to be our venue. The estate is absolutely gorgeous. The first thing you see when you pull up is the manor itself. Red brick steps, leading to the porch, with tall white columns. A balcony above, beautiful french doors. It's something out of a movie. All in front a pristine front garden. The inside is just as amazing. Long sweeping stairwells lead us to the bride and groom suites, which I can't express enough are so important for the day of. Those rooms aren't tiny either, they're huge. The reception hall is charming, with lots of room for dancing and everyone to sit, by those warm fireplaces. We are having a reception with 150-170 people, and theres plenty of room. Then there's the back garden, which holds ceremonies and cocktail hour. It features breathtaking views of the Hudson. It's truly the perfect backdrop for that special moment. While anything of this size is not inexpensive, when they started breaking down the prices, we felt they were reasonable. Food is prepared on the premises and it's fantastic. We tried some that day and even went in for our tasting, both times the food was delicious. We totally felt it was a venue that offered good bang for your buck. There is no way people will leave my wedding and not talk about the food. That's a must. Everything with payments and the whole process seemed easy enough. We planned the event far enough out. Weren't stressing. We were looking good. Normally I would wait till after the event to write a review, but the real reason why I want to write a before and after review is because the best thing about The Briarcliff Manor is the dedicated people behind. Planning a wedding is stressful. Planning anything during a pandemic is very stressful. Planning a wedding during a pandemic... I'm not sure if there are words that describe it. I am so grateful for the people at The Briarcliff Manor who have gone above and beyond to reassure us during these unsure times. With so much of our attention going towards our family, health, jobs, and everything else that we needed to make sure was right, thank god this has not been a difficult process. Fear and panic could consume you. We were so close to the happiest day of our lives, we invested so much time, we put in so much money, and with everything going on, you really start to fear for the worst. In the grand scheme of things, we know there are bigger things than this going on, but we still want to have our special day. So if that special day can't be now, we'll wait. Emily, our day of coordinator, has been there for us. Perry is a saint. We are so happy to have selected The Briarcliff Manor, more than ever. The event was 4/2/22. I know there are many expenses for a wedding, but charges for a tasting and meetings to discuss the wedding!? It was no small amount either, a few thousand $$$. They say it can hold 150+ but not really. The venue has these odd bump out coves that keep some guests disconnected. There's a great courtyard in between these rooms, connect them! So a packed room, people dancing. Lets get some air. Nope, can't open the doors and don't give me the bull that it was late, it was 7:30. If you can't open the doors read the room, get air flowing. Last negative, way more than one person complained about the male bartender. People have bad days, but really leave your attitude at home. Was inspired to finally tell my story about my wedding at The Briarcliff Manor by another bride who waited. Years after my wedding and this debacle is still the first thing I think of when people ask about my special day-it's sad really. This place started off great. When I went to check it out I was told the weird bump outs by the backdoor would be going away and the rear of the main room was going to be expanded. This never happened and I've been told as of today it still hasn't been done. Be aware of this as some of your tables will most likely be in their own world cut off from the rest of the party. The food was amazing and the man who was dedicated to my husband and I the day of-Jimmy or Robert?-was amazing. Taylor who helped closer to the day of was also amazing-don't think she's there anymore. Emily who is also a planner or helper was pretty useless. From day 1 I was pressured to use the owner's wife Vincenza's wedding decor services which I declined. She's really was just a middle man between the bride and her choice of vendors from whom I'm sure she gets kickbacks. Whatever, if that's your thing fine, but don't fault me for wanting to plan the wedding myself. I happen to enjoy that part. After declining her services, it was problem after problem-funny how that works. Suddenly all the options I wanted like nice tablecloths and napkins were going to be extra. I decided to bring my own gold chargers since Vincenza was trying to charge me $2/plate to "rent" hers ($2/pate x 120). I ended up buying them for $1 each at the dollar store so I could at least keep them after. After they were made aware they tried to charge me a $100 labor fee to "wash and pack up" the chargers for me. I declined that since they weren't going to be eaten on. I was told a week before my wedding that as per Perry, my flower arrangements could not have water in the vases. This was when the insane behavior really picked up. This sparked an emergency visit from me to inquire as to why on earth flower arrangements could not have water in them? My flowers which were being dropped off in the morning would have been dead by the time we got to the reception. It was just little things like this that they made up out of the blue that caused me unnecessary stress. I went up there to speak to Perry and he changed his tune immediately when I brought up that there is no way that was in the contract that we both signed. I was then told that since the vases were tapered that water was allowed LOL. Truly unhinged. The day of my wedding I had to have a close friend of mine go to set everything up since I truly did not trust these people to set up place cards, decor or really anything. I was told Vincenza was watching my friend the entire time and I would not have put it past her to sabotage my decor if I didn't have someone there. They didn't lift a finger to help my friend-guess that would've been an extra charge. The story really kicks off at the end of the reception. Everything the day of went well-no complaints. At the end of the reception my brother took a beer off the bar as everything was being closed down. I understand this shouldn't have been done, however in the grand scheme I don't think it was a huge deal when we're spending $20k to have a reception there and we brought our own wine. This prompted a truly unhinged reaction from the owner Perry who I was told by several people has been standing at the bar drinking all night. He began irately screaming at my family members that they were "disrespecting his house". In the midst of this my mother in law and another guest were pushed by Perry as they were attempting to break up this encounter. Perry's own staff were trying to drag him into his office, but he was like a caged animal. My guests were also irate that family members had been pushed and others were crying. My wedding night ended with people screaming and Perry calling the police stating that he was assaulted. All of this in front of my elderly grandparents who were appalled. I received an email a few days later from Perry apologizing for what transpired at my wedding. Interesting coming from someone who "was assaulted". Nothing ever came from the police being called, but it was super fun driving past them with their lights and sirens as I was leaving my own wedding reception. I was actually warned about this place from a bride who had a similar experience, however that came a bit to late as I had already put my deposit in. I'm writing this to hopefully prevent it from happening to someone else. There are plenty of other great places to choose from where the owners can differentiate between their actual home and their place of business. This is a day you can't get back so please think twice if you want that memory tainted forever. read more

I just had my wedding on August 30th there. The chef's select menu was everything I dreamed of. I was particular with what I wanted and the chef and kitchen staff were overly compliant. I had flown in from Florida to have my baby shower at The Briarcliff Manor this weekend. I have wanted to have an event at this beautiful venue since finding out about it several years ago. While the establishment was amazing, the service was unfortunately lacking, starting with the beginning of the day and lasted through the event. Emily had instructed my parents to be at the venue at 1030 to decorate and set up for the shower. They arrived promptly at that hour. However, to their surprise, they walked in to the floors being waxed and were unable to set up or go into the room until the wax was dried and complete. This caused them to not be able to get into the room to set up until 11:15, at the same time that Emily arrived at the venue. My mother and best friend spent time decorating a book table that they placed in the room for us. Upon completion of the table, a young gentleman came in and said they cannot use the table they decorated because it had wheels and they needed it for a party later in the day. My best friend explained that they cannot take the table away from us since they placed it in the room and it was their error. So after the frustrating conversation and unnecessary stress during set up, they were allowed to keep the table. There were no table numbers on the tables. This was not information given during numerous correspondences with Emily. The only thing that was told to us was to make the place cards for the table, not that the table numbers had to be provided as well. This caused the numbers to be placed while guests were arriving. Therefore, the tables weren't set up right, got mixed up and tables were short chairs and settings. We then had to have people get up and move to different tables since their original table did not have enough room. It was quite a fiasco in the beginning. We needed a second table for setup/decor, and was given a table without linens. We then had to request someone to get linens for the table. More time wasted during set up while guests are arriving. We paid for a mimosa bar through the entire event, but the bartender was only behind the mimosa bar sporadically. This left guests waiting around for someone to return and serve them. At one point, no one ever returned. No servers came around to the tables asking if anyone wanted coffee, tea or soda, which was also supposed to be included in the event. My Mother had to then inquire if guests could please be served these beverages. She asked to please place a carafe on the tables, however, the server only gave a soda carafe on my table, leaving the other tables only with water. During this entire event, Emily never checked in once to see if everything was ok. Multiple individuals were touring the venue during our party and looking right into our event as if we were in a fish bowl. Feedback from guests to me after the event was that the venue was absolutely beautiful; but the minute they set their fork down they would take their plate away and they felt "very rushed." Also, guests stated the chicken was cold and dry, and cavatelli were raw. One of my guests asked for mint chocolate chip ice cream during the dessert pass and the server didn't have any on his tray, so he basically made her pick from whatever he had left instead of going to the kitchen to get a scoop of her desired flavor. There was only one server, who was an older gentleman that was a fantastic server and he was the only one running back and forth to assist any requests. I hope that he is recognized for his wonderful service. I truly think this place can be one of the best venues in the tristate area if the service and ancillary staff get a major over haul. Like stated above, the venue is one of the most stunning venues with amazing views, but unfortunately the service and organization is sub par at best, and service is what makes a venue great. read more

My sister and I celebrated our joint 50th Anniversary's with our husbands and family and friends. Perry was so helpful and the party was beyond expectations. The Manor is beautiful and the service and food wonderful. Of course we had an beautiful day and still warm enough to use the outside patio. From the moment we booked the venue to the night of our wedding - the staff's attention to detail, recommendations and genuine love for their work made our party one that our guests will always remember. The food was excellent (I'm a vegan and my husband is not, so it was important that we offer guests both vegan and non-vegan options for the cocktail hour and reception). Overall, we have so many great things to say about our special day! It's hard to capture our experience in a review, so please see below for some specific comments: Venue: Beautiful, classic and elegant. Very charming (not at all ostentatious) and can be decorated to suit your theme/preference with the help of Vincenza. Ceremony was held outdoors - we had a slight chance of rain on our wedding day, but Perry and his staff said that the would hold up our Chuppa in the event it started to rain during the ceremony. The grooms and bridesmaids suites are gorgeous for photos (as is the rest of the property - especially the front) Food/Booze: Delicious and easily able to satisfy meat eating and vegan/vegetarian or GF diets. Just ask! I was impressed with what the venue was able to come up with. Service: Excellent! Very accommodating and helpful. Planning a wedding is a stressful life moment - the last thing anybody needs is more stress. The Briarcliff Manor staff don't seem to get stressed out, they just get it done! Decor/flowers: Vincenza delivered everything I wanted! We received so many compliments and were impressed with the final look when we stepped into the reception shortly after our outdoor ceremony. Proximity to local hotel: It's not a bad ride for guests! It's about a 15-20 minute shuttle ride from where we stayed (DoubleTree). The Briarcliff is slightly hidden on the top of a hill so the ride to the top is a bit exciting because you're not sure what to expect until you get there. Again, we highly recommend this venue! We had our wedding here on May 4th, 2019 and I couldn't be happier that this is the venue we chose. To highlight just a few things: 1. The service and waitstaff were excellent and attentive. 2. Food! There were a TON of options (we got rave reviews from guests), and it was delicious. 3. We arrived NINETY minutes late (near 6:30pm instead of our planned arrival time of 5:00pm) due to hair and makeup at a nearby salon running 2.5 hours longer than expected. Emily, "point-person," handled this delay beautifully and helped me to keep breathing. 4. Our bridal attendant Christine, Emily, Robert the maitre D, and the owners Perry and Vincenza were wonderful. Since we arrived so late everything felt incredibly rushed, and they made sure to send food our way so we could at least enjoy some of what cocktail hour had to offer! 5. Flowers and decor- an absolute dream come true. I wish I could enjoy the colors of our flowers/my bouquet forever. Thank you, Vincenza. 6. The front of the building has a very picturesque scene too where they did their first looks. My wife Hillary and I got married here earlier this year (May 2022) and have nothing but good things to say. Our search for a venue began in 2021 where we saw more than a handful of places. We simply couldn't find anything that we REALLY liked. The Briarcliff Manor was the first place where literally said "Wow" while driving up. Our first impression was, this place is The Great Gatsby meets Southern Charm. We went for our tour of the venue, both inside and out. We saw where the ceremony will take place, how cocktail hour will be had, and mapped out the room for the reception. We then sat down with Perry to talk about about wedding details, such as the food/drink packages. This was another big (pleasant) surprise. The food was gourmet. It wasn't the typical "cookie cutter" food menu, but a wide variety of different gourmet options. And you get A LOT of food! Additionally, when they state the liquor is "premium," they literally mean its premium bottles. I've been to numerous weddings where I was told the bar is "top shelf, premium liquor," and it always ends up being low end and average. The menu is honest with their meaning of premium bottles. We reviewed pricing, which we found to be reasonable. When you factor in the food/drink package, it becomes even more reasonable. The wedding planning process at its core is a complete nightmare, so I'd recommend hiring a wedding planner (something we did not do because of the added cost, but I certainly would have hired one if I could go back in time). However, working with Emily and Vincenza really helped curb some of that anxiety. They were always there to help and alleviate concerns. Emily is also very responsive to emails, which goes a long way with us. We went for our food tasting a few months out from the wedding. The food is absolutely incredible! Of course its not feasible to sample the entire menu (it really is that extensive), but the several courses that we did try were amazing. It was a great feeling when the day finally came. And when we were about 2 hours out from the start of the ceremony, it started to rain. Something everybody fears for their wedding day, especially when it was scheduled to be outside overlooking the Hudson. The entire team there changed course on a dime and moved the ceremony (& cocktail hour) inside. When I saw the room, the decor still ended up looking incredible. I was very happy with how it came out. The ceremony went great! We never made it to cocktail hour because the photographers always wanted to take "just one more picture," but all our guests raved about how great it was and how much food there was (we really wanted to try the chicken & waffles appetizer and the TexMex/taco bar, so here's hoping some friends get married there in the future so we could go back). Because of the rain, everybody was in the bar area and a blocked-off portion of the ceremony room. Of what we were told, there was still plenty of room. The reception was incredible. The staff did a very good job at keeping a smooth flow of the evening and serving the different courses of food. The guests are able to order their entree there, unlike some weddings where you have to decide months prior on the wedding invite in the mail. Being the bride and groom, we got every entree! At every table, there are bottles of wine. This was something that also perked my interest initially with how we got to select the varietals of the wine. Most weddings that we've been to just offer a basic cab and chard. Here, we had quite the selection of different varietals to choose from. For dessert, we ended up doing a doughnut wall plus an assortment of little desserts that were being passed around by the servers. Being at so many weddings in the past and watching all the cake get thrown away because people don't end up eating it, we chose going this path. We did a small cake for just us. At the end of the night, upon guest departure, everyone if given a bottle of water and a pretzel for the road. Overall, I highly recommend this place! Everybody is very professional and helpful, the prices are reasonable, the food/drink menu is extensive and delicious, and the venue itself is beautiful!! read more

The setting is unbeatable, the decor impeccable, the staff professional, and the food is excellent. This remains my go-to place for award dinners and other business events. What a fantastic venue! My team and I used it to film interviews (taking all precautions and following all COVID guidelines) recently for a documentary shoot. Adrianna, Perry and the rest of the Manor Team couldn't have been more flexible and accommodating. They made sure everything was just right for our shoot for a seamless execution. To keep the Review brief of my wedding 8/12/2016 (it's a little late but frustration has finally hit its peak as I'm STILL getting negative feedback; WHAT A NIGHTMARE): venue location: AMAZING. especially at the right time of day and year Food: GOOD. Service/negotiated plan of event: TERRIBLE. After speaking with Perry and coordinator, everything seemed to be taken care of but once the day came, the plan went downhill. The agreed upon action was to have a continuous cocktail reception where staff would walk around with small plates/cocktail style items; this happened for an hour and then food was left of a table for guests to get food from- LIKE A BUFFET! I was MORTIFIED! but what was I to do at that point? The damage was done. One of the reasons I didn't say anything that evening was because I didn't want to be a bridezilla. Another thing that occurred that day, was at the beginning of the event, some guests arrived a little early (about 30 minutes) THEY REFUSED TO GIVE THEM DRINKS WITHOUT HAVING GUESTS PAY AS IF IT WAS A CASH BAR! Its was 30 minutes! Would it really have hurt to provide ONE DRINK?! it was THE HOTTEST day of the year. Speaking of the weather, though it's nothing anyone could control, they could've AT LEAST provided guests with water. It is a great place for a wedding for healthy couples (non disabled) and their guests. There are quite a number of little steps everywhere and can be hard if you are handicapped. On the other side, the food was delicious. The only thing was I would add more meat in the penne vodka. The bartender was good. Not sure if Moscato wasn't on the type of alcohol they picked. The only sweet wine was white Zinfandel. Moscato is becoming a fad and that is just another suggestion. I couldn't try all the appetizers since they came out toward the end and I was stuffed and trying to let the food digest. read more

We got married on 9/23/2023 at The Briarcliff Manor and it was the best day we could have imagined. Even though it rained, the indoor ceremony was absolutely beautiful and the team worked to make the day just as special. Emily was our day of coordinator, and we can't imagine having done this wedding planning process without her. She coordinated with our vendors, made an incredibly organized and detailed itinerary, and thought of everything that we wouldn't have even thought to do, so that the day ran seamlessly. From decor - provided by Vincenza, to the incredible bridal attendants Stephanie and assistants Kelsey, the staff and Perry, the team worked together to make the day perfect. We felt so cared for on our special day and couldn't be more appreciative. I attended a wedding here and the venue is beautiful, however the staff treated the guests as if they were in a public restaurant during covid even after the guests submitted vaccine proof or negative covid tests. In my opinion: If I could give The Briarcliff Manor below one star I would. We were about to put a deposit down on another venue this weekend, when I received an email from the Briarcliff Manor asking us to consider coming in for a tour. I called and spoke with Kristina who transferred me to Emily who I then spoke with. I told her what I was being quoted from my other venues considered and she said she would be able to match it no problem. She then sent me an email confirming our discussion along with pricing and dates. We went the next day to tour the premises and met with both Emily and Perry who sat down with us explaining options. We took this all into consideration after leaving comparing prices and venues. I then reached out to Emily to further negotiate as we wanted to choose this venue. We came to an agreement in writing and made an appointment to sign the contract. Upon arrival to sign the contract, Perry and Emily start to renegotiate something different than what we had negotiated and confirmed the night before saying they couldn't hold their end of the agreement. We politely said thank you and left. I tried speaking to Emily after expressing my confusion and displeasure with the situation and no effort was made to resolve this. We lost our other venue as we thought everything was a go here. As a bride, no woman ever wants to be more stressed than normal on such a memorable day. I have been envisioning the most perfect day since childhood even after my dad has died and won't be present. Last night I envisioned what my night would be like here and I was excited to share it with the people I still have here. I left there today in tears. I hope this never happens to another person. Another update: Perry contacted Yelp to have my maid of honor who also happens to be the grooms sister, review removed from their page for "violating terms and conditions", as well as another guest who had a bad experience at my event. Fortunately it still shows that he is having reviews removed at the bottom of the page. I can assure you her review did not violate anything. She was genuinely upset and disappointed about the way her brothers wedding turned out, knowing that every year instead of a happy anniversary, we will remember the terrible hours of embarrassment we were put through for our "wedding". Update 2: The owner and his "partner" offered me a laughable $500 refund which wouldn't even cover a quarter of what I spent on my flowers that I had mentioned in my original review. He also tried to all of a sudden play the card of "were just a venue, this is not our responsibility". I'm sorry, but as a wedding venue EVERYTHING about the event is your responsibility. Look at any other reputable venues, no need to elaborate further on that. He then proceeded to demote Emily from Director of Events to "sales manager" when I asked why I would ever continue to meet with her in regards to my event including scheduling and decor after my original booking. That was also laughable, I have t extensive email communication with Emily saved as record proving his statements to be false. UPDATE: my belongings have finally been picked up from the venue by my father. The staff left everything outside. And to no surprise half the stuff that was left there was kept by the venue. I have since emailed them to make them aware and gotten no response. The first response I've gotten from them is their pathetic reply to this review. Of all the things they kept, they made it a point to keep my confetti cannons that the owner REFUSED to let me use at midnight for the ball drop l The owner, Perry has been having reviews from multiple guests from this night removed which he has clearly been doing in the past. Therefor giving a sense of false advertisement to brides like myself. He also has the owner of a fake Instagram advertisement company leaving fake good reviews as well. The DiNapoli family and their team do a top-notch job to ensure your HAPPINESS! I can't say enough how much I love this place. It's so beautiful. A classic mansion with modern day touches. That is exactly my style. Everyone was pleased with the food. I tried to customize the menu to please everyone. Decor by Vincenza created a vision that was warm and inviting. I opted in for the photo booth and I'm glad I did. Nice quality photos. Best part is they email a link of the photos plus their own photos they take for you! The Bridal Suite is perfect for your social photos, with the famous pink couch. All in all everyone had a great time and that's what counts. My daughter will never forget this night. We hosted a bridal shower at TBM this May. From the moment we arrived, service was attentive, outstanding. Culinary selections were superb, tasty, presented in fine fashion. As the father of the bride, I was incredibly impressed with the detail in which the staff and management handled the event. Emily, Robert, Nina and Andrew and other staff members attended to every minute of the event. They were really on their game! We never had to ask for a thing.
