The Brick is great. Whether it's a Grandma's pie or a classic Italian entree, the food is delicious.

The food tasted horrible and the service wasn't far from it, absolutely appalled as to how they treat paying customers! Ordered a fried mozzarella dish as an appetizer and was charged $10 for two small slices of mozzarella that was soggy, then got a panini and the chicken in it tasted atrocious. Would possibly have redeemed them if the server and manager were nice to us, because they do have good pizza, however I had the rudest encounter I've ever had in a restaurant with both servers and managers. They need to learn that customer service and food quality is the most important in a restaurant! read more

My son met friends of the owner on the golf coarse Saturday. So when we went to visit him Sunday he wanted to try it. Very busy with a large party but they were still able to seat us. We had fried ravioli and mozzarella balls as an appetizer and margarita pizza. Food and service were good. We will be back next time we are in Bethlehem. read more

Found through Yelp and as we entered it smelled amazing. Too bad the Happy Hour specials were only available at the bar. We had our kids with us so sitting at the bar was not an option. I normally don't do reviews- but I had to warn people about this place! I have been to this establishment (I refuse to call this place a restaurant) on a few occasions and on each occasion I had to question my bill due to the price being different from what's on the menu. It would be about $2 more than what was presented on the menu - Not cool! Also, each time I have had food from The Brick it was evident that there was a decline in the quality and taste of the food. Any one that has eaten at this place when it first opened till now will definetely agree. My most recent visit has determinded that this will in fact be my very last trip there EVER. Just to paint the scene for any readers-- It was a Thursday evening and the establishment had one other customer in it at 7PM (this is always a bad sign when you walk into a restaurant in a great location) My husband and I went to the BRICK for dinner - just the two of us. Once again the pricing and billing were incorrect!! (How annoying is it to go to an actual establishment and to always feel like the restaurant is out to steal from you. Basically if you dont catch their error- they are willing to steal your hard earned money. It almost feels like its a practice that the owner taught all of the employees.) When mentioning the error to the server the only thing she said was "oh we need to change that". My husband ordered the veal parm dinner and I ordered the penne ala vodka. The veal wasn't on the menu but they said they could and would make it. When we received our bill the first thing we saw was that the veal was a whopping $26 for few small pieces of veal that wouldnt even fill my toddler son. We understand that we could have asked the price of the dinner but any one that has had that specific meal can tell you that the range will never surpass $15-%20. My penne was supposed to be $9.99 and when we received the bill it was $11.99. When we brought it the attention of the server (with the owner within ear shot of the conversation), the owner didn't even seem phased that we were not happy with our visit. He did not even come over to us to apologize or to even say -"sorry you weren't happy but that is price of our veal, sorry for the misunderstanding on the price of penne "...nothing!! He just side eyed our discussion with the server and went another way. We are not the typical unsatisfied customers that drive waiters and waitresses crazy. We are the sort of folk that arrange the cups and plates at the end to make the servers life easy(included on the table is our fair and generous tip). I was warned about this place in regards to their pricing/billing and declining food quality but I didn't listen and wanted to support a business that started off with very high hopes. Just wanted to pay it forward and warn others. If you chose to go to this establishment please double and triple check your bill and your food!!! Lastly if you get a smile out of the owner (dark haired male in his late 30s/early 40s- you will know him trust me) you must have driven there in a Maserati. Enjoy! read more

Made a reservation for 3 people for Saturday at 6p. Arrived and despite unoccupied tables for 4, we were led to what looked like a very small, temporary round table with cheap banquet chairs pressed into a corner, adjacent to a fake ficus tree and the take-out counter. Our table furniture didn't match the rest of the restaurant. Our waiter had trouble navigating around other tables to get to us. The table was not designed for 3 people with entrees, salads and drinks. My pasta dish lacked flavor. We did our best to make the most of our accommodations. The kIcker was when a party of 2 arrived and were seated at a table that seats 4. I would've preferred to be told that they had no availability rather than be seated at the kid's table. Overall barely adequate. Service was slow and food was just average. It took a long time for our waitress to return after serving our drinks to see if we needed refills, which we all did. We weren't even there at a busy time (4:00 PM). Management seemed to not be too interested in whether or not his customers were comfortable or had an enjoyable experience. Our waitress mixed up all our meals. Then when we left, nobody even made any kind of effort to say good bye or have a nice day! We loved Brick when it first opened. We would go every week (we live around the corner) and their pizza was the best within the general downtown area (we were normally Sicily take-out customers) so we became regulars. Over the last six months, I've had several disappointing experiences. so I've taken them off my list of regular spots. The pizza is best eaten in house, takeout can get soggy. I recommend asking for the pizza well done. Their Grandma pie is excellent, as are most of the specialty pies we have tried. The service makes it hard to love this place. We used to split a pie (half specialty, half cheese or pepperoni because we have a toddler and he doesn't like anything wild) they used to accommodate no problem - something we appreciated as a small family (2 adults, one toddler) In the last six months they started putting rules in place - now they won't split pies (I'm told they won't do it, they will only do cheese/pepperoni splits, no specialty pie half) So they will do half cheese/half pepperoni, but they will not do half chicken parm, half cheese (or any other half + half cheese) Despite my offering to pay the full specialty pie price. A family friendly (or any business minded establishment) would take that deal - pick up a few bucks in costs and apply it to your margin. Happy business, happy customers? Well they won't. So we are supposed to only eat cheese or pepperoni only, or order two adult sized pizzas for two adults and a 3 year old? I'm not thrilled. If those are my choices, I'll go to one of the less delicious, more reasonably priced pizza joints in town. Which is what we did tonight. read more

Last night I went to brick to celebrate my cousin's birthday and I was very disappointed. Our server Aubrie messed up on multiple orders and was very rude. She said to us she was fine all day until we arrived not sure what she meant by that. I ordered the lobster ravioli and it was still frozen on the inside. Since I was the last one to receive my food significantly later than everyone else when I received the new lobster ravioli most of my friends were done eating. When the bill came I asked if anything could be done for the food being frozen and she said she would take off the lobster ravioli. She then returned with the bill and didn't take off the entire lobster ravioli like she stated she took off half of it. When our group walked out we were stared at by all of the staff like hawks whispering about us. At this point I figured I would just leave a review and just not return. Very very dissapointed in the service Iast night. read more

Rosannn's pizza across the street was our first choice, but they're closed on Sundays. We had cheese bread, and had to ask for marinara, which is weird. We had buffalo chicken pizza, which was average at best. They do, however, have a good variety of beer and a nice clean dining room. read more

Great pasta, salad, and sandwiches, however, if you're into pizza, this is where you should get it. I've been here several times over the past couple of months with my husband and young son. The first few times we were here we ordered pizza and appetizers. The pizza was excellent. The last two times we ordered pasta entrees, which come with a salad. Both times our salad was served with dinner, which kind of bothers me. I really dislike eating my salad with dinner. The first time it happened, I thought it was a fluke...the second time, I realized this could be common practice here. Love that it's byob (for now) and the service is always friendly. Next time, I'll be sure to ask for my salad to be served before my meal. read more

Good, quick service. I had the Italian sushi, which was unique and I enjoyed it. I think it's one of those things you have to try...it's Italian vegetables wrapped in prosciutto with olive oil and balsamic for dipping. I also had the bruschetta bar appetizer and while I didn't dislike it, I guess I just expected a little more flavor or wow factor being that it's an Italian restaurant and that this particular item was highly recommended by our server. Some others I was with had pizza...it was huge and it was pretty good! Lots of flavor and tons of options to customize it how you want. It was a casual, laid back atmosphere. One of my coworkers ordered cannoli, it looked great! While it wouldn't be my top 3 favorite restaurants in the downtown vicinity, I wouldn't be opposed to going back. If I do go back, I may just stick with pizza or try out a pasta dish. read more

Nice space. Very nice staff. Nice beer options. But the average-ness of the pizza will keep me away. We went because they advertise having a gluten-free option. My wife ordered the gluten-free margarita pizza. It was an overdone cracker like crust with a comically sparse topping of sauce and fresh mozzarella. My regular gluten pizza was unremarkable. We have been to The Brick several times. Each time, we have tried a different pizza and different menu items. Each time, the food has been very good, and the cost has been appropriate. The portion sizes are decent. Today we got the Chicken Broccoli Pizza (with Ricotta), and we ordered the Nonna, Sinatra, and Tuscan Panini. We got regular fries, sweet potato fries, and a side salad as our sides. The pizza came out perfect, and tasted great. Each of the sandwiches and sides came out warm, and tasted very good as well. We have had a good experience at The Brick each time we have gone, and the quality of food and service have been awesome! read more

I've gotten delivery from The Brick several times and have always been happy with the pizza. Yesterday, I went into the restaurant for the first time and was pleasantly surprised with the bar area. The bartender, Brandon, is lively and fun and they have many different interesting martinis such as the cannoli martini and gelato martini. I'll definitely be back to try out some more! read more

Food is good for a downtown pizzeria which is the only reason this place gets a star. Service on the other hand is abysmal. There were several people walking around but it appeared as only one person was serving. Took 15+ minutes to get a drink (finally had to go to the bar and get it myself), never refilled drinks at table and the worst part was that the place was only 1/3 full. Most of the dirty plates were not removed from the table as well. Would on recommend if you have a lot of time to sit and wait or feel like serving yourself. read more

On my second time, I put my trust into their cheezeburger and ordered it Medium Rare, only to receive a dry, well done burger. Went here for girls' night out after hearing about it from friends who enjoyed it last year. Three of us ordered pizzas, one ordered a calzone, and one ordered an Italian sub with fries. We also got a dessert pizza. The pizzas were fine but nothing special, and the price seemed very high, especially because there is no guidance as to sizing on the menu, and so we ended up ordering way too much food. Our waitress (who was friendly but sporadically attentive) explained that they are in the process of redoing the menu to rewrite the pizza section. The "personal" size pizzas we ordered were more like small-to-medium and could have reasonably served two people. For $15 each, I also would have expected more premium ingredients. I ordered the "Athena" (grilled chicken, spinach, feta, and black olives) and asked for no olives; I also received no feta, which made for a pretty boring pizza, but our waitress was gone for so long after dropping off our food that I had no chance to ask her to make it right. There was way too much spinach, and it seemed like it was the frozen type, so it was soggy rather than fresh. The chicken was well-seasoned, but there wasn't very much of it. The ladies who ordered the calzone and sub both said they were good. We all shared the fries, and they were tasty. We finished with a dessert pizza, which tasted very good but was a complete rip off at $17. It was the "personal" size dough again, topped with nutella, less than a half a banana's worth of banana slices, and about two strawberries' worth of strawberry slices. While the atmosphere is pleasant and the location is fine, I have no plans to go back. read more

Were able to accommodate a table of about 12 of us nicely. It was not loud in there, so we were able to enjoy conversation. The owners were very nice & helped us cut a giant head of cabbage that we brought in (don't ask!). The food was fresh and very tasty. This is about a week late, but still relevant. My wife and i stopped in The Brick for a quick lunch and to get out of the snow. Now, we never been so we were looking forward to it. We, just my wife and i, came in and said two. The hostess pointed to a table under a huge tv, or a table for four. The restaurant was pretty empty, so i opted to the table of four. Now it's not a huge place but literally only 3 tables. We sat down and took off our coats. And for some reason, a gentleman, whatever his role there is manager, owner, idk did not like we took a table for four and let the hostess known about it. His attitude, pretty much put a dark cloud over what was a pretty decent pizza. We quickly figured out they were setting up for dinner and I guess our table was one that had to be set. Whatever. Look the pizza was pretty good. We felt it was better then most but still not top pizza places in the area. What rubbed me the wrong way was service. Not so much our waitress. She was good. But when a table of two come in ten minutes after you and gets their pizza 5 minutes before you. Mixed with the tension of our seating situation just made the overall experience stressful. But for what it's worth the meatball pizza was pretty good. Sorry not much of a food review. read more

The Shrimp Scampi, at $20, came with six shrimp, and a ton of pasta. Way overpriced for what was served. The point of sale-based restaurant management system was down, already for three days and counting. Because of this, only one credit card could be processed per table. We were in a group, which meant all put one in the group had to pay cash, or someone had to charge the check for the whole group and collect from others in the group. We pushed back on this with the manager, who was wise enough to change his position on this. Beyond the POS system issue, he didn't think the wait staff could handle taking manual orders. Our waiter was more than up to the task, so that was a lame excuse. The time before this visit, the pizza was so-so. Last time we'll eat at this restaurant. read more

Excellent !! My wife and I have been here twice and enjoyed it each time. We were there again on Friday Sept 26th for lunch. Place had a good amount of people inside and a few outside as well ( The Brick has a really nice outdoor area) We were seated quickly and our waitress Lauren (fantastic by the way) quickly came over to take our drink order. We got our drinks very quickly and ended up ordering a large gourmet chicken, broccoli and tomato pizza. It was very, very good !! we ended up taking half of it home since we both got decently full on two pieces each. We did sample desserts there and they were wonderful. I had a lemon cake with white chocolate icing and my wife had a chocolate cannoli with a small raspberry gelato. We will definitely be back!! Once this place has their liquor license, I believe they will be the top spot to go in the western part of Broad street. They have good competition in Rosanna's and Penn pizza right across the street, but those place don't have a bar or the outdoor seating in warm weather. read more
