It is definitely a college town bar (I'm in my early 50's). The bartender was prompt and took our drink orders right away. The cook is right in front of you at the bar which is kind of cool. You could tell by speaking with him that he took pride in their menu. He let us sample some of the sauces which was great. I had the special of the day which was a grilled tomato/bacon cheese on Texas toast and a tomato soup with rice, ground beef, onions and peppers. It was fantastic! I also had the Cowboy bites which were jalapeños with cream cheese, bacon and corn - my goodness they were so good! My bro had the "what came first". Fried chicken sandwich with a fried egg and bacon. It came with fries and he said it was really good. My husband had Tri-tip cheese steak with no mushrooms. He said it was delicious. We were there on our own time without a schedule, so we didn't mind having to wait for our bartender. It started getting busy while we were there so the vibe was pretty cool. A 15% discount was applied, which I appreciated, but the bill still listed the incorrect meal and reflected the higher-priced salad instead of the wrap I originally ordered. The burger was also underwhelming, as the cheese was not melted. For a meal that came to over $60 for pretzels, a burger, a salad item, and one drink, I expected better communication, food quality, and customer service. The ambiance was great, but the entrees and service unfortunately did not match the setting

Since my dish had to be reheated my party had eaten most of their food by the time I got mine and while the server said "sorry about that" - that's all. Good establishments recognize the major failure of reheat/late dishes and typically offer a dessert, some money off, or something- they did nothing. Remember- the place was empty so it's not as if they couldn't focus on quality. I hate offering their first Yelp review with only 3 stars, but I will return and give them another shot during primetime and will update this review. I can't say I have high hopes for their survival as better restaurants (like Mint) have occupied this space and didn't make it. Here's hoping Jason (Exec chef) and company can make it here, if not just for their sake.
