The items are beautifully displayed, and you could tell the owner really has an eye for style. There was a large variety of items at a range of different prices. I love that they are size inclusive as well. I had a blast shopping here, and the owner helped accessorize some of the outfits. I got a couple of dresses, paid of shoes, belt and lounge wear. It was such a fun experience shopping here, I could have spent hours looking for treasures! Although I'm happy that they have an online shop, I can't wait to come here again the next time I visit Charlottetown. It's an absolute must see!

We were in PEI for a family vacation in September and we made a special trip into Charlottetown to enjoy the sights but also to come to the Root Cellar for some essentials that we needed back at our cottage. Among the things that I came in looking for was activated charcoal and admittedly I was a bit disappointed that the store did not carry it. It was explained to me by the sales assistant that the local supplier does not have this particular item in their inventory but they were working on locating it elsewhere. Despite not being able to get activated charcoal, I was truly impressed with the selection of products. The Root Cellar must have the best selection of Weleda products outside of Switzerland! And a huge assortment of all-natural toothpaste and personal hygiene products and lotions specifically designed for babies. Also, in the back of the store there is an impressively large selection of non-perishable grocery items. I walked out of the store with a bunch of things and wishing that there was a Root Cellar in Montreal.

So many beautiful things meant that I knocked off a whole pile of Christmas shopping while visiting for Canada Day, plus some adorable sandpiper earrings as a souvenir for myself. The owner is friendly and knows about all the artists providing things for sale in her store. I was wearing the earrings through the next day and found after we'd left PEI that one sandpiper fell off. I contacted the store and they very quickly got back to me and put a new pair in the mail to replace the first. Can't ask for much more than that. Definitely stop in if you're visiting the Island and want something more unique than the standard souvenirs to remember it by.

I've been into several of their locations and the staff will say hello to me but do not ask me if they can help me. I'm a young female (although not as young as I look). I was just in the warehouse in Bayer's lake I walked in and the lady who walked in behind me was about 5ft behind me. The lady at the cash asked her if she needed help and I watched her eye contact to make sure she wasn't talking to me. I was about 2ft from her over counter and nothing was said to me. There was 3 other staff on at the same time who were discussing their furniture locations I walked by all them. I may not look like their demographic but I will be much happier to buy from a store that doesn't simply help me because they think they'll get a sale, as opposed to genuine helpfulness.

There was a heavy scratch mark on the table surface and it was the last table in all the stores. The shop manager offer us a damage price and we accepted it. The coffee table works good but after 7 months, there are 3 serious crack lines show up on the table surface. I took photos and sent to Wicker Emporium asking for compensation. Their respond was, once a damage price was issued, that is as low of a price that they will go. The damage price was issued due to the fact that there was a known heavy scratch on the table surface. The damage price and 50% off should not be a waiver of the latent quality issue. The cracks show up after 7 months after product sold is a product quality issue. Wicker Emporium consider the compensation of a known damage and latent quality issue are the same. I am disappointing to their respond and email back to the shop manager. Few days later, the shop manager respond by email and offer me a new discount price. This is an unexpected respond and I just got my the refund with no question ask.
