This shop has a great location and a wonderful atmosphere both inside and out. Unfortunately, the service and food fell short. I ordered a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese, on a bagel at the counter. I then proceeded to grab a table outside (again, very delightful surroundings). After 20 minutes of waiting, still nothing. I went back inside to ensure they were processing my order and they assured me they were working on it. It finally arrived and upon first glance, it looked like the bagel was over toasted. Then I took a bite and the sandwich was barely warm. Not a good outcome on the food. I will need to reassess if I return. read more

I've always wanted to check out this spot but it's always closed during the nighttime. However I was on 5th earlier today and stopped in. Its was around 2:15 outside tables were busier than inside. We ordered a double espresso that was very good! And a California panini. The panini was tasty and came out pretty fast. It comes with chips or fries and fruit for an up charge. Only downside was the bathroom, pretty smelly and dirty. The prices however are very cheap for the area. Classic and easy breakfast and lunch options. So many good things to say about this place. I always come here when I am on this side of the state. Hard avocado toast and egg whites for breakfast and they were delicious and fresh. Good breakfast and diner food right on 5th Ave. South. I checked in at lunch, and the staff were very friendly. The menu is significant for breakfast and average for lunch. I ordered the burger, which was pretty good but nothing really special. It is a half-pounder so you definitely get plenty of food. We stopped in for a quick bite and coffee this morning and the outdoor ambiance is adorable. I loved that. You can tell people agree, because the tables filled up fast! We tried a bagel, the spinach and cheese quiche, and the scrambled eggs with toast and bacon! We loved all of our food choices 10/10! I will say the caramel latte tasted overpoweringly like caramel syrup. I like when it blends but this didn't. It was not the best. My husband said his cappuccino was great so I would try that next time. The place was poppin and a lot of their lunch options sounded amazing so we will be back to try! When coffee and food is increasingly expensive, especially in Naples, I was impressed that the prices were affordable. I appreciated that! There were minor things that need improvement (I.e the bathrooms and some of the bar chairs were breaking, behind the counter didn't seem put together, signage hand written a lot, etc) otherwise I would highly recommend! read more

Stick with the coffee and breakfast. Oatmeal as simple as it is, it's delightful here. Coffee is strong and fresh. Zero complaints on breakfast. Lunch however has less to be desired. Very long wait times which can be excused if the quality was up to par. Not such the case. A grilled cheese generally is buttery and melty- right? We received dry bread and non melted cheese. I could pull the sandwich apart and it was cold in the middle. My toddler was starving and ate said cold cheese. It's difficult to screw up the simplest of sandwiches but this place managed to do just that. $35.00 for that and a Rueben that was so flavorless it wasn't even finished. Ordered a bagel sandwich and an iced latte. They have a pitcher of espresso so they used that to make the latte. Because the espresso is in a pitcher, it oxidizes which means that it tasted bitter. Espresso is meant to be made fresh. The sandwich was good but nothing to write home about and it was an added charge for an everything bagel which is ridiculous. Would not stop again. read more

Besides coffee and teas, baked goods such as varying forms of croissants, muffins, and cookies, seem to be the main draw. But being open until 9:00PM they also have not only an all-day breakfast but both a lunch and dinner of varying soups, salads, pastas and hot sandwiches. As everything is custom cooked to order it may take more time, but for what you get, time well spent. It's basically a counter order place; hence with marginal service. There is both indoor and outdoor sidewalk dining. The sidewalk dining is really nice to do while sitting under one of their umbrella tables and doing some people watching. The food, though good is really nothing stellar. During my recent visit I had a blueberry muffin and American coffee, both of which were good, but the real joy of Fifth Avenue Coffee Company is the sidewalk outdoor dining and merely doing some casual people watching. read more

The staff was very rude. We were coming in to order and sat down as we just went on a walk and it was so hot out. An older man came up after not 3 minutes and asked us to order at the counter. He was very condescending and pushy. It made us feel uncomfortable and there are many 'friendlier' places than this like The Cafe up the road. The food there is insane too! This older man that worked there chased us out and again started saying snarky comments as we left. Because why would we stay and pay for their food. We were staying in Downtown Naples and thought we would stop here for a quick late breakfast. It is right on Fifth Avenue, (duh.....the name says that, right?). There was lots of free street parking on a Wednesday around noon. They were serving breakfast or lunch; so we had lots of menu options: baked goods, eggs, sandwiches, etc.... my friend asked about the quiche of the day and they had two kinds. We both ordered the ham & cheese quiche which came with a side of fresh fruit. I also ordered a caramel flavored iced coffee & my friend got a hot coffee. The 3rd member of our party ordered 1 fried egg and an iced coffee. We promptly paid and were given numbers to out on our table so that our food could be delivered. The restaurant was not very busy and several tables had been stacked up so that the remaining tables could be spread out for social distancing. We found a table by the window and I started to drink my coffee which was quite delicious. My friend's quiche plate came out first, and it was kind of skimpy with not much crust. Then my quiche cane out & it was a bigger piece and with more crust. It actually looked like 1 piece with another skinny slice added to it. Even though mine was bigger; it was still wasn't a big thick serving like some restaurants serve. It was good; but not great. It came with some mango chutney that I didn't care for either. The fruit side was fresh and there was a variety of fruit; blueberries, strawberries, cantaloupe. The friend who had the egg liked it; but needed to have it recooked at first because it was kind of runny & she ordered it "well done." Overall it was a fine place; good for coffee, but the cooked food was nothing special. Next time I might try a muffin or scone.....those looked yummy! read more

Stopped in just after noon on a Monday. There were a couple unoccupied tables outside and plenty of free seats inside. You order inside, get a stand with a number on it, choose your seat and when your order is ready, someone delivers it and takes your number stand back. The chicken almond orange wrap was really good. Lots of flavors - peanut sauce, crisp lettuce, sweet grapes and Chicken chunks. It was a bit messy as the peanut sauce began dripping out of the wrap as soon as I picked it up, so next time I'll try it in the salad format. The ham and cheese was just OK. The bread was to be toasted, however, it arrived more like a grilled cheese with loads of butter on the bread. The ham itself was a bit chewy and sliced really thick. Inside is light and airy, clean. Service is excellent. I dropped my fork and almost immediately someone was handing me a clean one and picked my dirty one off the floor. You still have to use a pen to sign when paying with CC. I didn't see any hand sanitizer nearby so that would be a nice add if they continue to use a system that requires a physical signature. We prefer Apple Pay but it was not working when we were there. read more

Fifth Ave coffee has some great outside seating. I ordered the Italian panini with pesto. I had no complaints with the panini it was decent. This cafe is counter service only. The people who were working weren't overly friendly, they acted sort of robotic. I really didn't feel like they wanted to be at work. In my opinion, a smile goes a long way. No smile, no pleasantries, nothing. On a positive note the cafe has beer and wine, free Wifi and outside seating. Breakfast and lunch options include: eggs, fruit, yogurt, salads, sandwiches, paninis and a burger. There is a good selection of baked goods including bagels, croissants, scones, cakes & cookies. I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and they were empty, just a few people coming and going and just one other table was occupied. After checking out of our hotel, my boyfriend and I were quick to look for a coffee shop in Naples Saturday morning. We thought fifth ave would be a good place to look and Yelp directed us to Fifth Avenue Coffee, but I wasn't impressed. If the coffee wasn't as good as it was, this would be a 2 star review for me. Upon entering the coffee shop, the staff did not greet or welcome my boyfriend and I, but rather passed by us going on with their business. It was very loud inside too. We walked up to the counter to order and the gentlemen couldn't have been less helpful. He cut me off and asked what my boyfriend wanted before I even finished ordering my iced coffee (I wanted to add almond milk and sugar). After we finished our order, he told us they didn't have any large cups so we'd have to get mediums. He did adjusted for the price after that. He was not friendly at all. After ordering, I walked to the back to use the restroom. I passed their dry pantry (visible because the doors had been taken off and were lying against the wall with all their products visible. There were plenty of large cups to be seen! The bathroom was a single occupancy room and very dark. It reminded me of a restroom you'd find in a gas station. There was no table or shelf or even hook to hang my purse on. That is a big pet peeve of mine in restrooms. As a traveler on a hot Florida day, it would have been nice to be able to put my purse, phone, mask, and sunglasses somewhere clean. This coffee shop could use a deep clean, better trained staff, and improved design/decor. Next time I'll pick a different coffee shop. read more

Stopped here for breakfast with friends. Ordered food for everyone and they did not bring my quiche when everyone's food came. I got up several times as did my guests to ask where my food was. Eventually everyone finished their food and I went to the counter to get a refund. The young girl at the counter was incredibly rude and told me that the man who took the order never added the quiche. I went back to the table, hungry and very perturbed. The owner came over and had a plate of quiche and I told him no I needed to leave. He said he wouldn't charge me for it and I told him where he could put his quiche as everyone was finished and we had somewhere to be. I told him his employees were inept as it took 5 inquiries before they realized they had screwed up. Now we going back! read more

Decent coffee and food!! The coffee was decently priced as well. I do think the decorations and aesthetic of the place is a bit underwhelming. They would benefit from a nice paint job or some new furniture. This would be the coolest coffee shop in Naples if they added plants, some couches, maybe a vinyl / thrift store on the side. We came into town for lunch never been here, Pauline the cashier received a 15% tip and yet she did not follow the order; she charged us $1.75 extra for bread we did not order, and fries that she had indicated would come with the order. Absolutely adorable cafe in the downtown area. We came for coffee and breakfast one morning (and got breakfast to-go on our last morning as well!). Plenty of outdoor seating, and in the morning it's in the shade. There seemed to be a 'breakfast club' of sorts, a group of gentlemen who seemed very friendly with the owner/staff - so this place seems to attract locals as well. The hubs and I shared a bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel (BEC, if you will) and a chocolate croissant. The bagel was great - seriously no complaints! Not a Zabars bagel, but enjoyable and delicious - tastes like a boil/bake combination which I prefer. The size was very generous and I'm glad we shared. The croissant tasted like a croissant, but had more of a danish or breakfast pastry roll appearance. Those buttery flakey layers weren't apparent as they are with a croissant, but again the flavor was there. The topping was brushed wit a honey or simple syrup then sprinkled with chocolate jimmies - an unnecessary touch in my opinion. The whole pastry confused me a bit, but it was chocolatey and delicious, and before I knew it, my half was gone. The inside is plenty large, and has abundant space for lounging, sipping coffee, and even bringing a laptop to do work. While the food is enjoyable and the location is perfect, the attitude and cleanliness is quite the opposite. The ladies at the counter are aggressive and rude when it's time to order, and no more pleasant when bringing you your food. Along with the unfriendly attitude, the lack of concern for cleanliness and food safety is concerning. While ordering, I watched an older lady with glasses and black hair knock a cup used to make coffee onto the ground and put it right back on the brewing machine. It was then used to continue to create more drinks. I really hope the staff can be retrained on food safely and service as I think that would fix most of the problems! read more

This place is busy in the morning. I don't drink coffee much but it seems like a lot of people like to come here to catch up with everybody in town. The food is not the greatest. I ordered Almond Chicken Salad and it was ok, not the greatest taste but I was hungry. My friend ordered Stuffed Tomato with avocado. The name of the food sounds really good but when she received her food, it was disappointing to look at. The tomato was not stuffed, it was raw with avocado on top. You would think stuffed tomato is filled with something great inside. The service was great. The location is close to the beach.
