We stayed in the Coastal Suite, in the converted barn at the back of the property - a very comfortable room and no traffic noise. The Inn is a mix of quaint (it used to be a working farm) and up to date (modern appliances and WiFi and Roku TV). The Inn is just a few miles from downtown Lewes, with its beaches and shopping, and we were able to get there easily on major roads. We definitely plan to stay there again.

Despite medical documentation and months of follow-up, the matter was delayed and ultimately denied through the claims process. I have been a Hilton Honors member for nearly 20 years and recently became a Diamond member. I continued staying at Hilton properties because I believed customer loyalty and safety concerns would be taken seriously. Travelers should do their own research and make informed decisions. I'm sharing my experience because I wish I had known more before my stay.

Breakfast? Hardly anything. The coffee machine was new but it took forever to make a cup of coffee. I can't imagine if there was a line of people waiting. I never felt so scammed and fooled in my life. Never again.

The holiday inn website advertises something along the lines of "not kid approved, but kid preferred" and Holiday Inn should make this hotel change their name if this is something that they really believe. They have a great "common area" that would be perfect but the manager is a control freak who only lets people sit in there from their UNPOSTED breakfast hours of 6am to 9am. I witnessed staff reprimanding a mom and 5 boys sitting on the couch to leave because it was after 9:30am and breakfast hours were over... If you want to stay in a hotel and have options for your family or group other than being forced to stay in your room, PLEASE do yourself a favor and AVOID this hotel! BEST thing here? Small and could have that home like appeal. WORST thing? Staff- rude, ignorant, biased toward families and kids and NO common area. Sorry Holiday Inn- This stay really left such a bitter taste that my first choices going forward will be Hilton or Marriot.
