Thought I would give this place another try. Nothing has changed at this restaurant. It's run by a bunch of kids that don't care. Placed my order for wings with mild sauce. Wings came dry, no sauce. I called and told them and the response was, what do you want me to do. I said, the order is wrong, take it off my bill. The manager argued with me and told Me they would drive sauce to me. I responded, by that time, the wings will be cold. He told Me they would bring new wings and they wanted the old wings back. I have never in all My years heard of anything so asinine. 40 Min later, we got new wings, with the sauce on the side. They also charge 5$ for delivery charge. I called The Brick House Tap & Grill last week for a reservation. The man who answered told me they do not take reservations, only used Call Ahead. I asked him what that meant and he said he was tired of explaining it and to look it up on the website. He said he would take my name anyway, and I asked what good that would do. He said "JESUS CHRIST, I'M TIRED OF THIS" and hung up on me. I called back 10 minutes later, and asked the girl who answered to speak to the manager. I told her why I wanted to speak to the manager, and she said that it was the manager I spoke to earlier. I could hear him in the background, and then she hung up on me also. We stopped here for a quick team dinner after a game. The place is not huge but not small. We were seated on a Friday night for a group of 12 in about 20 minutes. Our server was nice and friendly but service was slow. They have a decent assortment of beers (bottled and in tap). I had the Rachel Sandwich. I was not allowed to substitute for fries, which I thought was weird and kind of annoying. I added broccoli for $4 and had to keep the fries as well. Everything tasted pretty good. We stopped here on a Thursday night around 8PM and the restaurant/bar were relatively quiet. They seemed a bit understaffed on the floor at least as we had some long gaps between our waitress stopping by, but nothing significant. As far as the food goes, we split a bunch of appetizers and went with their "traditional" pizza (regretting not getting the pan pizza). All of the appetizers were relatively smaller portions for the price, and all were your standard pre-frozen deep fried varieties. The pizza was okay, with a cloyingly sweet sauce and slight crisp to the cheese on top. I was most disappointed in the dough itself. Ordered a veggie calzone and wanted pepperoni added. Restaurant owner refused to make the addition to the calzone claiming it was a change in the menu. I was told sorry, that's just the way he is by the waitress. I asked if I could pay extra to get what I preferred and was told no! My wife and I have come to the Brick House many times over the years and have never had a bad meal until today. I received a Rueben sandwich that the bread came out total burnt. Had Italian sub and it was good. Packed with meat and cheese. Tasted the wings and they were also very good. My wife had the Diablo pasta and was a huge portion. 1/9/20: This business is operating at full capacity. The staff all wear masks, though. I wouldn't recommend dining in here if you're Covid conscious. The 4 stars is for the food. There's a wide array of entrees, appetizers, and sandwiches available and everything seems to be made from scratch. The pasta dishes are especially good here. My father came here for a quick easy meal for dinner. He has a disability which causes him to walk with a limp and sometimes waddle. This is not due to him being drunk or intoxicated. As he was on his was to the restroom a cook said "look at this drink Mother f*ck34". he is a handicapped man who has trouble walking. this is not okay and the behavior in this restaurant is hostile and not welcoming. it is unfortunate this is what disabled people have to deal with. read more

So my wife and I went to The Brickhouse Restaraunt on Clay Pike tonight around 9 pm. My wife ordered fried Calamari and a cup of soup. I ordered chicken Marsala with a side of pasta and a salad. After our salad and soup, Wich was pretty good. My wife got her calamari, and I was served this( see pic). The calamari tasted like old fish, it even smelled bad, and was very over cooked. Now.... This dish I was served..... was not chicken Marsala ( the wait staff agreed with me.... The waitress called it boiled chicken) there was no Marsala wine( key ingredient in chicken MARSALA) no brown sauce... and one mushroom( looked like a canned mushroom to boot). I tasted it..... terrible. It was plain sautéed chicken. Nothing on it. I called for a manager.... The waitress came back to the table and apologized, and went to talk to the cook and get make it right.... I handed her the plate, because for 18 bucks I wasent eating that.... The manager/ owner came out to the table.... And stared at my wife and I. Covered in flour and dirty. He just looked at us..... I asked him if he was the manager.... He scoffed and said " yeah" showed him a pic of my dinner and said this was not chicken Marsala, he told me that that's how they make that dish.... I asked him how you could make chicken Marsala without Marsala wine..... his words to me were " we use chicken". I wasent sure what this meant and began to explain my lengthy experience cooking in Italian Restaraunts in my teens and 20's. He interrupted me and said" I really don't care... that's how we make it". This man was super rude. No apology.... He DEFENDED an obviously incorrectly prepared dish... and Was rude about it. All I wanted was what I orderd and was hoping that he would just replace the incorrect one with a correct dinner.....then he told me he didn't make it and he did t know what was wrong with it. .... So at this point we point out the terrible calamari( Wich we were not even going to bring up). He said he prepared that this morning and that it couldn't be bad.... This calamari tasted like it was sitting out all day..... it tasted like old fish and was way over cooked. He looked at the bartender. Pointed at us. And laughed......he started to take our food away off of our table and said " ok then, don't worry about the calamari". I told him I was not looking for a free meal and I would pay for my food... he laughed and said it's ok.... I said " so it's like that". He said yes..... so my wife and I left..... We have never been treated so poorly in all of our lives at ANY Restaraunt. I have worked in food service for many many years and I work in customer service now. This is NOT the way to run a business nor the way to keep customers..... I wise man once told me that it takes a lifetime to earn a loyal customer..... it only takes a minute to loose one forever.... I will NOT be returning to the Brickhouse. Not even because of the poor quality of food I was served.... ( everyone has a bad day and shouldn't be judged on one mistake) but for the rudeness and blatant disrespect of the manager/ owner.... Whoever he was. I was appalled and taken aback by the way he would treat a customer.... Especially in today's environment where Restaurants are struggling for every dollar they are pulling in.... Guys and gals.... There are much better places to eat out there.. and I honestly regret choosing the brickhouse tonight..... please try to patronize your favorite local spots. Or if you're looking for a new spot.... Try one of my favorites.... Olives and Peppers, Ginnys Hometown Pizza Joint, Hungry Hanks, Will Onitas, Johnny's Wife's Place, Skis and Nicks.... Just to name a few. But....... Food was good, service was terrible. We were greeted and seated very quickly, however, it went downhill fast. We waited for a very long time for our waitress who was also working the bar to get our drink order. She stood at the table behind us talking to the guests about tv shows and what not while we sat there just waiting to order drinks. We actually contemplated leaving and should have. I am definitely a fan of this place. I frequent it often and there are just so many different things I like here. First there is always a good selection of beers on tap. Whether you like domestic or craft beers there is something for you. On the good side i get an order of the breads almost every time I am there with someone to split. They are wonderful! If you like pepperoni rolls there's that is on the appetizer menu is also a great choice. On my most recent visit I went with the pan pizza. Wow. The crust had a great crunch but yet it was so soft are fluffy. I really enjoyed it and will have it again. To start we ordered an appetizer that never came until we got the rest of the meal. The salad was slimy with wilted lettuce, I didn't say anything just pushed it to the side. didn't want to come off as a complainer. When they did bring our food my daughter's meal was missing entirely. I ordered Salmon which was soggy and undercooked, and never received my dinner rolls. The price of the "Stuffed Salmon" on the menu was $21.00. When we received our check they charged $25.00. When my husband asked about the difference they pointed to the bottom of the menu which read "prices are subject to change'. So let me get this straight. Adding this sentence to the menu gives places the right to hike up the price and charge whatever the hell they feel like charging? Why have a menu then? It's entirely misleading, sneaky, and overpriced. The food is garbage. If your thinking of trying this place out save yourself the time and money and go somewhere else other than this rip off joint. read more

This is one of those places that has lots of different things. As usual with places with a big menu, the food was okay but nothing special. I got a deep dish pizza and while it was not bad, I would not consider it to be a real deep dish pizza. The inside is pretty plain and almost feels like you are eating in a warehouse there are however a few pictures here and there. This place is okay for families or quick bite to eat. Super cool sports bar - great atmosphere, awesome beer selection, good food. I was out this way for a 5k, and not being very familiar with the Irwin area, I did a Yelp search to find a good place for after the race to grab a bite for lunch - and maybe a beer ;-) I wasn't real sure what I was going to get with this place - since the ratings weren't that outstanding - but I was not disappointed one bit! In fact I was quite pleased - it was exactly what we were looking for. 'Bar' type food on the menu - sandwiches, salads - and apparently the pizza's are pretty good too. I went for a burger, and it was delicious! Medium rare with pepper jack cheese and sautéed peperoncinis (I typically get sautéed banana peppers on my burgers, but they improvised and I was fine with that). I got a small caesar salad and some tasty chips to accompany my meal. TONS of beers on tap - If I could guess I would say about 30, so lots to decide from and it wasn't easy! Lots of local beers too. Exposed brick walls and TV's all around the bar and the restaurant. If this place was closer to where I live I would definitely frequent for sporting events. Anytime I'm out that way and am lookin' for a casual fun place to go, I'd be back. read more
