I have lived in this area for the vast majority of my life and somehow never eaten from this place. I pass it a minimum of 2-3 times per week and it just never occurred to me to get food from there for some reason. Well I'm happy to say that it was great! My husband and I shared a Brooklyn Supreme pizza and we were both pleasantly surprised. There were plenty of toppings, the pizza and slices were big, and everything tasted great. It wasn't cheap but nothing is now and good pizza is hard to find. They told us it would take about 20 min to cook (we just walked in rather than calling ahead) and it was done in about 10 min. The outside seating area leaves something to be desired.. it could be a great spot during the sunny months. Overall I think we will eat there again. read more

I was craving thin crust pizza and yelp suggested this place. I called ahead to verify that it's pet friendly and I was assured my dogs were welcome on the patio. As far as slices go there were 2 options- cheese or pepperoni, but I was looking for pepperoni so no problem there. Based on reviews, we weren't quite sure what to expect from this local pizzeria, but we wanted to give it a try (after many times driving by and considering). We were surprised at the sheer size of the pizza we received. A good value (even if far too much for just my husband and myself). Sadly, the crust on our pizza had quite a few burned spots, and the entire center was swimming in grease. We tried to use paper towels to soak-up some of it, but that was only marginally helpful. While this was certainly not the worst pizza we've ever had, and we both liked the crust (at least the bits without burn), we both felt a bit ill after a couple of slices. I've ordered Brooklyn pizza a few times before and initially (2 yrs ago) I was really impressed, but over the past year they went down in quality: less sauce, less toppings and more burn (chard) on the undercarriage/crust. I recently, tried ordering from another pizza place in the area, but they didn't answer (3 different times) the phone. I was going to a party (people each brining a pizza or 2) in the area of 3 pizza places (didn't want to bring Dominos) so I thought ok, I'll give Brooklyn another try. I ordered their Margherita Pizza and a Cheese Pizza...for a specific time to pick-up. They pulled them out right as I got there and they looked good. Got to the party, opened them up and the pizzas were PERFECT (sauce , toppings, undercarriage , and finish on top) and everyone that had some were like man that pizza is d'lish!! This place is pretty good!! We lived in Connecticut for a while so we really miss new york style pizza. This definitely scratches the itch! We got the chicken Alfredo pizza, honestly not my favorite pizza type but it was still very good! Crust was soft, chewy and cooked just right! 1st time there we ordered the Brooklyn combo. Toppings were very tasty and love that cheese! 2nd time there we ordered the veggie pizza. The veggies on the pizza were sliced thin, and the pineapple tidbits are the perfect size for pizza. We Will definetly be returning her for pizza, it is out of the way but worth the trip! I believe it's a fermented crust (the commercial places DON'T DO THAT!!!). Thin, nicely browned crusty crust (TRUE brick oven), some of the freshest ingredients....NOT SAUCY or GREASY!!! Not commercial in any way. They took over the old Port Orchard Pizza building. I ordered the Brooklyn Combo (Pepperoni and Sausage)....excellent! The cheese melt on this pizza is how it's supposed to be, the quality of the cheese just stands out, a totally different mouth feel. Best reheated in the oven, a microwave doesn't do it justice. Previously gave this place a 5 star review. Their process no longer delivers anything close to a NY Style Pizza. They cut corners to try to speed up the process. A new york style pizza place does not prepare several pizza dough ahead of time and put them on pans and let them sit there to later add sauce and toppings. The resulting dough is no where near a NY style hand toss dough that had been cold Fermented for 3 days. The outer ring is flat and has no chew. Their process results in a dough that is flat,, sticks to the pizza peel and dough that rips and sticks when putting it in the oven. Even with asking for lite cheese, they use an excessive amount of cheese. I recommend they visit a true New York style pizzeria like Salamones in Tacoma and watch how they make 1 pizza at a time and still maintain quality and speed and deliver the taste so many of us Northeast transplants miss living here. I want a local option and want to see them succeed but right now they do not deserve to call their pizza NY style or deserve to use the name Brooklyn. I would rather drive to Tacoma for a true NY slice. Reminds me of home. read more

Wanted to try pizza near our new place. Called and requested are own type of pizza. The lady who took our order was nice and said 'no problem'. The pizza was very good. There were two problems. 1st, the self pizza cost $35! The 2nd problem is the entry and exit door. You have to turn the handle to get out. I did it and my 18 inch pizza went upside down.
