We planned a post-retirement gathering for my husband's military retirement at Fine Pizza and made a reservation for 16 people. When booking, I specifically explained that I did not want our group seated in the back of the restaurant. The employee helping us was very kind and offered us the patio instead, which we happily agreed to. Unfortunately, the evening before the event, the manager called and canceled the patio reservation, moving us to the back section instead. What made the situation frustrating was not just the last-minute change, but the lack of professionalism in handling it. There was no apology offered despite the reservation already being confirmed. Her communication felt dismissive and confrontational. But she eventually agreed to atleast seat us towards the center or the restaraunt. We were also told the patio was unavailable because of a separate event, yet on that day, the patio still had several open tables during our reservation time. The food here is good. But communication, professionalism, and customer service was signifanctly lacking. Had there been clearer communication, accountability, or even a simple apology somewhere in this process, the experience would have felt very different. read more

Came in for a pizza with my sister at around 4:30. Maybe 2 tables occupied and a couple people at the bar. 3 people working behind the counter. You have to order at the counter and then tell them where you will be sitting. They bring the pizza to you. One of the workers Behind the counter was on the phone. We stood there for what seemed like 10 minutes before the guy on the phone said he will be right with us. He finally hung up and took the order. Otherwise the pizza was good and we did have fun in the pinball area before the pizza came. Sometimes just acknowledging a waiting customer makes a big impression. read more

Finally got to try the twin peaks breakfast pizza! My husband tried it a few years ago and has been talking about it since. He said it was delicious! They were having twin peaks day again and I finally ordered it and it didn't disappoint! They were able to do mine with vegan cheese. This place is pretty nice if you happen to be hanging around Port Orchard. It's a teeny bit away from all the downtown stuff, but easy to walk to via the water front trail. If the day has good weather there are outdoor dining options. Lots of windows to look out at the water regardless. Parking available. I guess it has a Twin Peaks theme, I don't really know much about that, but I will agree it has a cool vibe. If you like pinball, which I do, that is another good reason to visit. I think there are about 10 games in a separate room, a couple I had not played other places. I probably like it the most though because it has vegan options for pizza, including cheese and pepperoni (which is not something most places have available). On both visits I altered a pizza on the menu to meet my vegan needs and it was quite tasty. I would consider this pizza superior to many of the other pizzas I have eaten recently. I usually get the smaller size and eat it myself for a couple meals. My non veg partner is also a fan, but I don't recall what he orders. I absolutely loved the marinated olives I got on my last visit, FYI these are perfect if you are starving and the thought of waiting for a pizza to be made seems like torture. Do be aware you stand in line and order at the register and are given a # to take back to your table. There's also a full bar, help yourself to water. I was a lil confused at first because in my mind i thought it was full service. Meaning they take your order at the table and bring you the drinks and all that. But nope you take a menu and walk to the table. And make your order at the front. I didnt like that you had to get your own refills from the bar. As far as the pizza it wasnt horrible but it wasnt all that great either. We got the cheese bread with meatballs and a pizza. Liked the meat balls and sauce even though one my meats balls was a lil cold. Cheese bread was good and hot but not cut all the way through so it was hard to pull it apart. Same thing with the pizza wasnt cut all the way through. All the cheese just slide off the pizza with the toppings. Then your left with a floppy slice with nothing on it. *vegan review* Damn Fine Pizza lives up to the name! Food, drinks, atmosphere, and service were very nice. Will definitely return when we're in the area, and would recommend! We built our own 16" pizza to split between me & hubby and it was perfect; melty gooey vegan cheese, good sauce, medium-thin crust, vegan pepperoni... couldn't ask for much more in a pizza. The Pandan Colada mocktail was super delicious, we had to go back for another one in lieu of dessert. Pro tip: if you order the marinated olives appetizer (yum!), save the extra oil/marinade to dip your pizza crusts in. Chefs kiss. You seat yourself & grab a menu, order your food & drinks at the bar, then the bartenders bring things out to you when it's ready. They have a cabinet full of board games, an arcade game room, signs advertising trivia on Wednesday nights, and a great view of the water. It's a little confusing when you walk in trying to figure out if you seat yourself or wait. There is a chalk sign way up high on the back wall that says, 1. Grab a menu. 2. Grab a seat. 3. Go up to the bar and order. But that sign isn't significant or easy to spot. We got in line to order and was told to go get a table first (there weren't any), so we got back at the end of the line after sitting at the bar. Then a second bartender said he'd take our order so we got back out of line to wait on the bartender while watching everyone that was in front of us in line AND behind us order their pizzas before the bartender finished making his drinks to take our order. It was ok. The pizza flavors were fine, but the crust was too thin and floppy, and borderline soggy. Overall the price feels a little too high for the quality. I will warn you, do not sit at the tables outside that are up against the building, right under the edge of the roof. Order at the counter service, which is fine, but we did see a disconnect there. Our food came out at way different times despite ordering together. One pizza was done and half of us done eating before the second pizza came out. Really good diverse beer selection and the customer cocktails were very impressive! Everyone liked the pizza. Personally didn't think it was the best, especially for the price, but good. Will definitely be back to watch them grow and improve! For those who don't know about pizza, this is the Holy Grail of pizza. As mentioned before, there's only one other place that can come close to DFP in the area.....DFP has the space, outdoor seating and gaming area unlike any other place in the area. When your Italian friend from the East Coast tells you this pizza is legit, it's legit. Him and his wife live in Port Orchard and say they love it so much they sometimes eat here more than once a week. It was around 12p on Sunday, we were starving (we were going to arrive when they opened at 11a but our car locked itself with the keys inside AND running! And it took a while for us to break back in LOL) and the restaurant was pretty empty. It did fill up but still enough seating since it's a large space. We ordered two large pizzas, shared a Caesar salad between 4 adults and ordered the Mac and cheese for my daughter and it was more than enough food. The Henny Plz is my fave so far. The spicy salami (soppressata) and the hot honey combo was *chef's kiss* I'd ask for more hot honey the next time. The Marg was simple and good. Highly recommend! read more

I'm pretty damn snobby about my meat (butcher for many years), and they absolutely nailed it. Pizza is damn fine, the gluten free crust is also awesome if that matters to you. I've been here three times now, had the same bartender the last two times (Tyler the big stache guyyyy who is super awesome) . Service is aces, they are attentive and willing to answer any questions. We prefer sitting at the bar everywhere for speedy service but they do use an ordering counter still so I recommend sitting at the bar to avoid the line. The food is always delicious. I love pizza and miss california staples but their pizza comes close! Lastly the ambiance is dimly light in the evenings and they have good music playing at a reasonable volume and tv going. Recommend stopping in for some good food and some games in their game area that also offers cool lights. read more
