    Pizzaiolo, Bruschetta, Bella chopped salad
    John W.

First time dining. Ordered at the counter and they said we could pick a table. Very nice day so ate outside. Ordered oven fired Bruschetta and Pizzaiolo and the Bella chopped salad. Bruschetta was a lightly baked pizza dough with mozzarella balls and cherry tomatoes. It was not traditional but was tasty. The pizza was a combo like and big enough to have leftovers to go. Medium salad was. Big enough to share and still have some to take home. Nicely dressed. The salami slices were a nice touch. Too full for dessert, but had a nice selection of sweets. Gabbi D took care of us and service was attentive. It was lunchtime so the restaurant had a nice crowd.

If you're around Gig Harbor stop by and check out Fondi. Their pizza is baked in a brick oven and gets that nice crisp crust that I love. Their pizza is delicious, they have nice selection of beer on tap to go with your meal. For dessert they have gelato and my all time favorite crème brûlée. My brother fly's in from California just to have it.

Went to Fondi Pizzeria in Gig Harbor after a movie, and I totally forgot how awesome this place is! As someone who really enjoys good food, this place hit the spot. You order at the front, they give you a number, and you sit down and can order drinks or dessert from the table. Started off with an amaretto sour, and seriously, it's one of the best cocktails I've had in ages (pic in the review). The pizza was incredible--prosciutto, diced garlic, fresh arugula, and that balsamic reduction drizzle... it was so good. Every bite was just packed with flavor. We went as a family--me, my wife, and our daughter--and it was perfect. Great food, super chill vibe, and it won't break the bank. If you're in the area, definitely come back to Fondi. It's worth it every time.

From the pizza to the salad, everything here is exceptional. I ordered a cheese pizza for the kids and enjoyed my favorite, the Gorgonzola salad. The kids loved their pizza and couldn't stop raving about it. The service was outstanding, and the staff was incredibly kind. I'll be back very soon!

Pizza and breadsticks were excellent. Actually became one of my favorites after just trying it only once. The restaurant was nice and airy and we sat outside so that was nice. Service from our actual waitresses were good. However, minus 1 star because we stood there for a few minutes when first arriving and staff just stared at us. When finally "greeted" it was more of just the person going behind the counter and again staring at us. No greeting and I was the one asking him that we're ready to eat and be seated. And actually as I write this it's making me upset and so it's actually worth minus 2 stars. Cause it's bare minimum to just say hi and welcome and that wasn't even done.

Dropped in for a lunch pie and Fondi abides. I had the lunch 10", pepperoni and a wonderful iced-tea. You walk-in and order at the counter and your meal is delivered to the table. On the exit you pay at your table. I like not giving a card to pay and they disappear with my card. The dough and sauce are made in-house. Nice touch. All in all a great pie. I think next time i would request my pizza to stay in the oven a couple more minutes. Very good service, and the Chef came to my table to chat me up.

Went there for lunch and had the lunch pizza and soup/sandwich meal. Service was friendly and attentive. The pizza was super greasy and average tasting. The tomato soup was also greasy but I did enjoy the flavor a lot. The sandwich was on point. My only true complaint was the temperature. It was cold in there, I even saw some of the employees shivering and rubbing their arms to try to keep warm. Whoever controls the air system was a total jerk, as soon as we walked in I could feel and hear the a/c. It it was a cold October day outside, there was no reason to have the air on blast.

My oblong pizza missing an ingredient I paid extra for. Rip off!

We usually try to eat here whenever we're visiting the gorgeous place called Gig Harbor, and yet, this Yelp elite had not reviewed it before. The food is out of this world excellent! In fact, it's just like being in Naples or Gaeta, etc. Chef Michele "Mike" Simone and his wife, Azusa run a tight ship here, and it reflects not only in the food but also in how the place is usually packed with families and locals and tourists. Simone also comes out often and goes from table to table, talking to his happy customers and checking in... it is a joy to see and makes it feel homey. The place is decorated salon-style with tons of Italian wall hangings, sail ships, giant spoons, etc.; it's as Italian as Italian can get! The staff is friendly and efficient, and there's ample free parking at both restaurant and street. There's also outdoor sitting. I had the eggplant parmesan, which was enormous in size and super tasty. There's also a kids menu (not on the main printed menu) and those portions are also gigantic! Love Italian food? The owner came out to chat with customers and many in the restaurant knew him, there were many regulars. We ordered the Caesar salad, soup (can't remember the name but similar to a minestrone), lamb chops, and veal Marsala. Overall the food was good, but not life changing. The flavors were what you'd think they'd be, pretty standard dishes. I was excited for the Caesar but found it to be too mild. I wanted more funk. The soup was basic, probably wouldn't order it again. The lamb chops were grilled after being cut which I believe is the cause of it being overcooked and a little dry. Grilling an entire rack will keep the juices inside. The veal Marsala was my favorite dish we ordered. Also not life changing but good. Overall, I would go back for a fun, loving atmosphere and decent food.
