What a great pizzeria. We came during the dinner rush but were lucky enough to grab a seat at the bar. With how the sun was setting it got a little bright and toasty but it moved on very quickly. The service was super. The bartender realized we were still holding our bags when the pizza came out and didn't want grease to get on them. She actually came out to show us there were hooks which was very kind. It was tricky to find but they're there! Since we came during the dinner rush, we were told the pizza would take some time. I appreciated the heads up before ordering. I ordered a custom pizza and it was scrumptious. I really liked the texture of the dough which was nice and chewy. I brought my grandson here after a bike ride over the Narrows Bridge for a bite to eat since he has never visited living in Illinois. He said it was the best pizza he's ever had including at the Hill in St. Louis. He was also impressed with the Belle Salad they serve as part of the panini lunch special I ordered. It's nice bringing up the next generation of foodies giving them examples of great food. He enjoyed the galato, too. It was a nice experiene for both of us. I told him it was one of my favorite restaurants in Gig Harbor and now he can understand why I'm such a big fan of Fondi. This place was amazing from the first bite. I ordered the margarita and Milano pizzas along with a caesar salad and some bread sticks, and everything was amazing. Salad was fresh and flavorful, the pizza had the best crust and sauce I've ever had, and the bread was nice and crunchy. Our server Richard was also a highlight, he was very polite and made sure we were well taken care of. Even the interior was nice and had that rustic yet casual feel, plus the outdoor seating was lovely with the right weather. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend this place! read more

This was meant for the Tacoma location. I can't speak to the frozen cauliflower pizza crust but I very much enjoyed the hand tossed gluten free version. I am not celiac just intolerant so I need to preface that I cannot say what the cross contamination situation is, but if intolerance is your issue I highly recommend. First time dining. Ordered at the counter and they said we could pick a table. Very nice day so ate outside. Ordered oven fired Bruschetta and Pizzaiolo and the Bella chopped salad. Bruschetta was a lightly baked pizza dough with mozzarella balls and cherry tomatoes. It was not traditional but was tasty. The pizza was a combo like and big enough to have leftovers to go. Medium salad was. Big enough to share and still have some to take home. Nicely dressed. The salami slices were a nice touch. Too full for dessert, but had a nice selection of sweets. I love pizza and I love people that try to get pizza right. I want to give them five stars but there is a downside to this place. First of all service is great! Plenty of people going around to help. Took us a while to get seated on a weekend evening which I feel is fair of course. The ambiance is very chill being a pizza place in uptown. Pizza was pretty good for the most part but not my favorite. I feel like they need to do a little bit of quality control when it comes to the crust. It just felt a little bit bland. Other than that everything else was stellar. Probably will try it again in the future next time I'm back in my hometown. My family and I stopped in for dinner tonight over an hour before closing and were surprised by the experience we had at the front desk. The hostess (short blonde) seemed annoyed from the moment we walked in and made it unnecessarily difficult to get seated despite there still being plenty of time before closing. Throughout the interaction, she was dismissive, made faces at us as if our request was unreasonable, and generally made us feel unwelcome. We weren't asking for anything special--just hoping to have dinner with our family. The entire experience was uncomfortable enough that we decided to leave and spend our money elsewhere. A restaurant's first impression starts with the person greeting guests, and unfortunately this experience left a very negative one. We know how great the pizza is there, but wow. read more

Ordered 2 salads and pizza for 2, paid over $60. The service was wonderful, personal and will talk to you. So if you want to be left alone, you may be annoyed but I did not mind the servers stopping by, especially the gentleman with a beard working the outside seating area. The copped salad was drenched in sauce, more than I expected. Could have used 30% less of the dressing as it was a bit overwhelming. The pizza was ok, not great and not bad. The best part was the crust, perfect stone crunch but not cutting your mouth. The pizza was not cut all the way through, so needed to cut each slide to remove. For a $25 pizza, I was expecting more. The menu online was different than what was displayed. Guessing these may be older pictures. I will return and try something different on the menu and looking how big the salad bowls are, will order a large bowl and share. Went to Fondi Pizzeria in Gig Harbor after a movie, and I totally forgot how awesome this place is! As someone who really enjoys good food, this place hit the spot. You order at the front, they give you a number, and you sit down and can order drinks or dessert from the table. Started off with an amaretto sour, and seriously, it's one of the best cocktails I've had in ages (pic in the review). The pizza was incredible--prosciutto, diced garlic, fresh arugula, and that balsamic reduction drizzle... it was so good. Every bite was just packed with flavor. We went as a family--me, my wife, and our daughter--and it was perfect. Great food, super chill vibe, and it won't break the bank. If you're in the area, definitely come back to Fondi. When finally "greeted" it was more of just the person going behind the counter and again staring at us. No greeting and I was the one asking him that we're ready to eat and be seated. Great experience, just one small hiccup but the staff was able to solve the problem quickly. We ordered, spinach dip, Bella chopped, and another pizza. All GF due to medical reasons in our group. Plus a pitcher of beer and a bottle of wine. While the conversation was awesome we needed more food so we ordered pear prosciutto pizza GF. Our server was Sunny, it was her first serving shift. The pizza didn't come out on GF crust. So the staff took it off of our check because our other half of the group couldn't stay for another refiring of a pizza. Dropped in for a lunch pie and Fondi abides. I had the lunch 10", pepperoni and a wonderful iced-tea. You walk-in and order at the counter and your meal is delivered to the table. On the exit you pay at your table. I like not giving a card to pay and they disappear with my card. The dough and sauce are made in-house. Nice touch. All in all a great pie. First the good. The service was top notch. Staff was friendly and attentive. Took great care of us. The Gorgonzola salad was fantastic. Pancetta was perfect. Now to the pizza. We ordered the four cheese and the Milano pizza. I don't understand how a pizza with that much cheese can be so bland. Sausage had no flavor. Had two slices and couldn't finish it. Went there for lunch and had the lunch pizza and soup/sandwich meal. Service was friendly and attentive. The pizza was super greasy and average tasting. The tomato soup was also greasy but I did enjoy the flavor a lot. The sandwich was on point. My only true complaint was the temperature. It was cold in there, I even saw some of the employees shivering and rubbing their arms to try to keep warm. After all the reviews and pictures I was excite to try this place. 6 min from hotel. Disappointment. Unfriendly. Entered and asked if I had a to go order, then sent to the bar. Passed two employees, not a salutation. Never acknowledged by the girl behind the bar even though she talked to others on the staff, ignoring me. She was super friendly when I had to pay so I left an appropriate tip. Nada. Food. Ordered a sausage and mush pizza and added prosciutto and black olives. Does anyone see a single piece of prosciutto in the pizza pic? Rip off. Had a small Mele salad. That was actually good but not mixed properly. Fresh and tasty and the walnuts weren't stale but it had almost no Gorgonzola in it. Why advertise it? Meatballs. Don't know why the huge container and also they were cold in the middle. Once I heated them up properly it was another good item. Like they were when I ate them is definitely not to acceptable food temperature. Be cautious. Tips. Eat there if you can to hold them to food safety standards. Double check all your 'extras' you paid for to make sure you get them. If you are doing take out, don't go by their proposed time, cut the time in half and wait. I bet my pizza would have been slightly better right out of the oven. If I'm in Gig Harbor and looking for a solid pizza at a fair price, this is my go-to place.

We had never experienced this before at this location but apparently our order disappeared from the system. We sat patiently waiting, no one came by with drinks for 20 minutes, so I had to ask. We thought our drinks would have come out, but then I wait to speak with someone and no one approaches me, just making eye contact with a few people for the next 15 minutes . Eventually the manager went to the table as I finished speaking with the person that took our order. Manager made our food order for free. We appreciate the gesture, and the food was good. We will give another visit. Hopefully without computer glitch. read more

We went to Fondi with friends on Sunday evening, we went in ordered our meal and drink and chose a table to sit at. When we arrived it was not busy. After we set down our drinks arrived and a few minutes later our food showed up. They started to get busy. It has a good atmosphere. We lived in Sicily Italy for 3 years while stationed at Naval Air Station Sicily. Fondi Pizza reminds of the pizza that we used to eat their. The staff at Fondi is always very helpful. I spent a lot of time visiting a sick friend in Gig Harbor during the month of March, and due to the situation I was dining alone a lot. I was frequently on the hunt for a good deal on quality food. Fondi Pizzeria fit the bill. To be honest, I knew this would be a five star review when they brought me my iced tea as I waited, and I saw that it was nice and dark and not watered down, and contained a good-sized wedge of lemon. My margherita pizza was a good size for the price and tasted great, although the sauce was ever-so-slightly bland for my American taste, but that's me. The servers were really nice and accommodating. We have been going to Fondi for years and it was always our favorite. However the last three times we've been there it has not been good. Tonight we tried ordering online but when we arrived our order was not even started. They told us that it was sent to be ready at a later time. But the bar tender said they would rush the order. Since there were only 4 tables I figured it would be quick. 35 mins later I asked the bartender how long she it would be. She rolled her eyes at me and said "There is nothing I can do." She never gave me an estimate on the time. When we finally got our food. Only 1 pizza was hot. Everything else in the order was cold. The recipe for the flat bread app must have changed because it's not flat anymore. It's more like a thick pizza dough, soggy. read more

I dont live in Gig Harbor but when I'm in this Pavillion area I always eat here. The pizza is thin and fresh, the tomato soup is great and the salads are dressed really well! I mean what more do you need? Also they now offer quick lunch specials!! I always forget how good this place is cuz I normally gravitate towards Asian cuisine but then I eat here and have the best meal. Service is quick, food arrives quick, you order when you enter and seat yourself. The space is wide open and the interior is super cute. I love thin crust pizzas and they cook with a brick oven. This place was a bit strange. I never thought I would want a pizza to have more cheese but here we are. The pepperoni pizza was mostly bread and pepperoni. It was a very odd experience. As an Italian-American, I'm really picky about pizza to begin with but have grown to like chains like Pagliacci, Mod Pizza, and Tutta Bella. The reasons why those do it for me is because of ingredients being properly proportioned. It's not the New York experience nor the Naples experience but the general passable pizza requirements. I'd be willing to go here again to try something other than the pizza and know next time to as for more cheese. I haven't submitted a review for a while now. I apologize. My wife and I and a group of friends eat out in Gig Harbor every Monday night. We rotate thru restaurants. Fondi's is one of our regular stops. They have a good variety of pizza's. The food is very good. Although, sometimes the crust is better than others. It's hard to beat their salad, pizza and beverage for 2 deal. It would be great if they extended it to 5:30. The service is excellent. We've had many different servers over the years and they are always friendly, helpful and efficient which speaks to good management. Best of luck with your Proctor location but don't forget to keep your standards here in the Harbor. read more
