This is a great hidden gem of a bagel spot in my area. It's easy to overlook businesses on Fort Hamilton for some reason. It's almost like I don't expect there to be legit food businesses there. I don't know why. But they serve great bagel sandwiches, have phenomenal fresh juices, are reasonably priced and the staff couldn't be nicer. My absolute favorite juice is called El Espresso, which isn't coffee but green apples, carrots, orange and ginger. It's sweet and tastes delicious with breakfast! Inside is unassuming just like any deli. Give them a try, it's worth it even if the location is a little weird (to me). :) read more

This is an honest review. I love the owners and the girls who work there. Everyone is so nice. The problem is that they don't listen to your instructions when you order food. Items are made incorrectly or you have to ask for normal condiments that come standard with the dish you order (I.e. ketchup or salt and pepper with a BEC). Tried this new place on a whim - I ordered a pumpernickel bagel and pimento olive cream cheese...this is NOT a pumpernickel bagel. 1- it's like gray beige, wheat maybe?? 2 - it looks like the crappy kind of bagel you'd get in a full bag of at the grocery store for the same price. 3 - not toasted, and not fresh. And like a tub of cream cheese scooped on. Not spread. Just like the biggest spoon full dropped on here-- no love, whoever made this definitely gives zero sh*ts. I have been here many times and the service is very off and not standard at all times. Sometimes they would get the order right, but most of the time they would forget an item like a drink or a food. It might be because in the morning they have people just coming in and ordering so it's hard to keep up, but I have found that they do miss things quite frequently. However, they do make this up and they try to compensate you. We ordered a bagel, coffee, orange juice, a platter and a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich. Everything was standard about the food. It was just OK, but I am fond of their potatoes in the platter because they are soft and not burnt potatoes which I like paired with the peppers. I used to love this place so much, but they are really not what they used to be. The prices are still good, but the quality and customer service has gone down significantly. They are constantly sending the wrong items. Today I finally had enough and called. They sent me an item that I'm allergic to. The man on the phone insisted they called me several times to ask about a replacement and I received not one call. He was very rude to me after I asked for options on how to resolve the issue and blamed me for not picking up the phone although they never called. He hung up on me. Since the pandemic started I have been intermittent fasting and skipping breakfast. I have not had an everything bagel with cream cheese in a good year and a half because I usually get that for breakfast. However, I decided it'd be a good snack while walking around the neighborhood. I have heard good things about The Brother's Bagels and I wanted to try it for a long time. A bagel with plain cream cheese is $2.50. A bit more expensive than the neighborhood deli but definitely worth it. The bagels are humungous and they toast them to perfection. They have a wide variety of cream cheeses for people that like that. I highly recommend the coffee. The coffee they use is darker and more flavorful than other delis that I have been to. read more

I live in the neighborhood and it's always a pleasure to come in before I start my work day and pick up a fresh, hot bagel. The bagels are huge! They have an array of spreads, smoothies, fresh juices, sandwiches, and many more items. The stores is spacious and clean with a few tables and a huge tv. Service is always good and yes, delivery can take some time but this is a very busy place and given the quality of food it gets hectic. Delivery took forever. I ordered a Caesar salad with chicken. The croutons are literally pieces of undercooked cut up bread and the chicken is dry. I waited an hour for THIS. First and last time ever ordering from here. Update: when I contacted yelp about this, I was asked to get the order number. When I called the restaurant the "owner" argued with me on the phone about why I needed it, was rude and laughing and asked me what was wrong with me that I was contacting yelp when I got my order. Crisp fresh bread with delicious turkey, muenster cheese, and other tasty ingredients made my last minute brunch a satisfying buy. Service was quick and they got everything correct with my online order. Also got sweet potato fries which were 8/10 (well seasoned but not really crispy) and an ice coffee that they made fresh when I arrived to pick up my order. I appreciate that it wasn't watery.
