I had a frustrating experience with Your Energy Solutions regarding a warranty transfer. We were later charged $500 with no prior breakdown or explanation of the fee. I clearly communicated that I would be the one paying this charge. Despite that, the service department reached out directly to the buyer and asked who would be paying. This unnecessary contact created confusion and complications during the escrow process that could have easily been avoided. The lack of transparency on the warranty transfer fee and the poor internal communication caused more stress than necessary. Businesses handling real estate-related services should be more careful with both contract clarity and how they communicate with parties involved in a transaction.

Of the three companies, we met with, he spent the longest time on our roof (the first rep we met didn't even step foot on the roof), and took a ton of photos documenting the original condition of our roof for us to see. It was easy coordinating with Danny, Ivan and the foreman on site throughout the entire process. From the detailed proposal to final touch-ups with painting, I could tell how much they cared about doing a thorough and quality job. Not only was the perimeter of our house very clean (cleaner than before they started), they also helped clean up the debris that ended up in our garage because of the exposed ceiling which I truly appreciate. Lastly, I did not know this at first, but my neighbor saw a crew member tighten the hinges on our gate (very old) because they noticed it was uneven when they used it to access the side of the house. I'm glad we chose to support a local business with a great team. I highly recommend if you're looking to get your roof done soon.

He didn't offer an option for repair until I asked and instead went straight into discussing shingle colors and availability. Typical sales scare tactics were used like telling us a leak was from condensation due to the lack of ridge vents. We have gable vents and so does every other house on the block. By his logic, every old house without ridge vents should be leaking water. I've been in my attic, there's no condensation issue. Their price for a new roof seems fair but given our roof is 12-15 years old with two leaks, it's far from needing a full replacement. They also offered no warranty if we went with a repair. He also estimated my roof to be 25 years old when my home inspection and other roofers estimated 10-15 years old.

They appear to have done a great job on a small to moderate roof repair from a leaking easement on my home. They were very responsive from the Yelp inquiry and sent out someone a day or two later who seemed experienced and forthright (Dario). He was able to immediately diagnose the source of my water entry (something another company had missed or tried to upsell on diagnosing it a different way). He was willing to walk me through what he was seeing on the roof and also took photos clearly showing the issue. While he was up there, I brought two other minor issues I'd been meaning to take care of and he was happy to take photos and add them to the quote (cracked vent seal and small area of entry into the attic). They put together a formal quote and proposal within a few days and I was able to talk with one of the owners (Jason) on the phone to discuss the questions I had. He was willing to work with me on alternative (less expensive) options on one of the repairs I was requesting and walked me through the pros/cons. Felt like he really understood what I was looking for and took the time with me, even though I know it was a small repair for them. They completed the work in one day, within a week of deciding to move forward. Payment was easy and online with an immediate receipt. Price seemed fair --- bay area expensive, but worth not doing the work myself for this situation. I'd look to them first for any future work.
