I…read morecalled 3 highly reviewed roofing companies in the Bay Area. 2 came out and gave me quotes, 1 no showed. Out of the 2 that came out, I choose to go forward with Apollo Roofing. I chose them for 2 major reasons. 1) they were going to deal with the scheduling of the removal and réinstallation of our solar panels. And 2) Shahar was so kind, informative, and honest during our consultation. He was through and kept us updated every step of the way. When our project finally started the crew were so respectful and kind! We found way more damage than we expected which resulted in our quote going up. However, due to Shahar being honest at the consultation we knew this was a possibility so it wasn't super shocking. The crew was great at cleaning up at the end of every day, which we appreciate as we have chickens, ducks, a puppy and cat as well as a child who are outside. When the project was done, there were a few concerns we had, we talk to Shahar and he quickly corrected and had the crew fix the items. Our roof is beautiful and will hopefully last many many years to come. I am thankful we went with Apollo Roofing and Happy Shahar was our project manager.

Long story short, there was a manufacturer defect, and we needed to redo the entire roof. Thankfully, the roofing manufacturer covered it under their warranty however I was able to look for a new roofer to install our new replacement roof. Having not been happy with our original roofer, I interviewed at least a half a dozen more companies and came across a Better Roofing company. Boy am I glad I did! Upon…read moreinspection, the roofer immediately attributed the cause of the rust to the solar installer, effectively deflecting responsibility. However, the evidence does not support this conclusion. Our roof consists of two levels, and we observed rust on several spots across five long panels--many of which are not adjacent to the solar installation. Furthermore, the upper level of the roof, which has no solar panels whatsoever, also exhibits couple similar rust spots. These observations strongly suggest that the rust is not caused by the solar installation but rather stems from a material or manufacturing defect. Despite these panels carrying a 50-year life warranty, the roofer was quick to claim that the rust is not covered under the manufacturer's warranty. This is deeply disappointing, particularly given the clear evidence that the damage extends well beyond any area impacted by the solar work. The roofer demonstrated no willingness to help address the issue and offered no solution for the roof leak currently occurring at the lower level. The lack of accountability and absence of any proposed remediation is unacceptable given the scope of the defects observed.

I called 4 gutter cleaning services (including this one) in the last week for my elderly moms home in San Ramon. She needed her gutters cleaned badly and she was nervous about getting any roof damage (since they have to go on the roof), and she also wanted to make sure the gutters were cleaned out really well- & that it wasn't a half a$$ job. After speaking with Howard Bass, the owner of House Prep, and asking him several questions, I felt that they would be the best choice for my moms house. They were booked out 2 weeks and I asked him to call me if they got a cancellation. I was so happy to get a call yesterday from Howard saying that there was a change in their schedule, and now his partner Jeffrey could do it that same day. Howard assured me Jeffrey was the best. He wasn't kidding! Jeffrey came, and not only was he the nicest guy ever, he did such an amazing job! He was so thorough in the cleaning and took us to the back and front yard & showed us what needed to be repaired on the gutters. He also showed us the moss that was growing on the roof and explained what we needed to do (we didn't even notice - even though there was a lot! ). He just went over and beyond and it didn't go unnoticed. My mom loved him so much and was so happy with such great service from him she gave him a giant hug when he was leaving. It had been a number of years since I had my roof serviced so I wanted an experienced team to get the job done right. Howard and Jeffrey were awesome! They pressured washed my clay tile roof, removing all the moss, lichen, and mold. They not only removed all the debris from my gutters, they flushed the gutters and were even able to unclog a particularly sticky downspout. They also cleaned my solar panels and sent before and after photos of the entire process. I will definitely be calling Howard and Jeffrey again. :) read more

Highly recommend. Howard Bass did a fantastic job with difficult pressure washing of our cement tiled roof, which had moss and fungi (very thick in some areas). He also sealed roof seams, intersects of roof with siding, and cracks in wood siding. He cleaned and repaired our gutters, and installed new gutter guards. This worked out at OVER $200/HOUR for UNSKILLED LABOR. Don't let this happen to you.

I reached out to several roofers on Yelp for quotes and sent a picture. Tom from Roof-Life Construction responded back shortly. I called him Friday morning his son, Max, came out a few hours later. Max came out, hopped up on the roof, and found a few slipped and cracked tiles. He actually showed me photos of the underlayment, which was looking pretty rough and worn out. He even sealed a few spots on the spot just to hold me over, which I really appreciated. The quote was very fair and reasonable, so we went for it. His crew showed up early the next morning and knocked out the repairs and new underlayment in about two and a half hours. They were total pros, very thorough, and showed me some before-and-after pics so I could see exactly what they did. All in all a great job! and very professional. I'm very thankful his team was able to come out on short notice and fix my roof before the rain a few days later. I highly recommend Roof-Life Construction for any roof related work!!
