I scheduled an inspection for gutter replacement and removal. The gentleman arrived on time and called me. I opened the door to see in his car in the middle of the street. He proceeds to tell me (over the phone) that he can not help me because of the neighborhood I live in (Oakaland) it was my understanding that the company serviced all areas. If they do not they should not advertise as such. Additionally, that was a very classist thing to say. I have worked with many contractors and none have complained nor turned down a job. I do not recommend this company and would suggest not supporting someone with this type of mentality. Updating this review to include the response given by the owner. You did say worked in the area before and didn't want to do so again because of your equipment etc. and that was it. I did offer over the phone for you to park in my driveway and you did not accept that. (After) I posted my review is when you called me back and also offered to bring a smaller car. This should have been offered and explained during my appointment. Unfortunately, I have already selected another local company who was more than happy to do the work. Thanks for the effort. We contacted Oscar to have him look at our gutters to see if he recommended repairs or replacement. We were especially curious to see if he'd automatically recommend replacement, as did another company we contacted. To our surprise, he immediately indicated that our gutters had many years of life left and pointed out repairs that were needed. We also asked about having two new downspouts be installed that drained into rain barrels. He quoted us a very reasonable price for cleaning and repairs and downspouts, so we were happy to hire him. When the repair day came, his crew were very professional and did a great job. Made an appt to have my gutters cleaned last week. They were scheduled to be here today. When they did not show up I called. They said they missed my appt.! Really! They were also one hundred dollars more than other bids I have received. Very unprofessional and avoid using them for gutter cleaning! I will never use them again. Buyer beware!!! read more

I called GTE for a quick quote on a retractable screen door and was super happy how quick we were able to get it figured out at a very reasonable cost. I have yet to work with someone so pleasantly and seamlessly from start to finish. Oscar responded to my request for a Mirage screen door install quote within the day. He quickly realized the color we already had was no longer available and helped me select the closest color. I also asked if he could replace a broken pin on one of our existing screens. Oscar's reply was it, too, would look different, but otherwise, no problem! Oscar and his assistant, Gerson, arrived at the decided time and began work right away. Any differences in color and look were brought to my attention for approval before any install took place. Once the screen door was installed (beautiful!) the area around the door and the work space was cleaner than when they started the process! The pin was replaced in the other screen and Oscar quickly realized that one side of that screen had been pulled out of the wall and fixed that for us as well!
