This is a Covid review! Today I FINALLY got to get my brows done after months of pandemic inactivity. I got in with Jenn today and both Jenn and Tara have the Covid safety practices down! They have chairs outside and a station where you pay with sanitized pens for those credit card receipts. They wear N95 masks and everything is sanitized during the waxing. She did a great job on my brows, showed me how to fill in the thin areas and didn't push any other product or service on me. My brows look great and now I'm ready to go out! You will never go to a better brow place. I used to get my eyebrows done here before college and they always looked wonderful. They kept their natural fullness, but cleaned up the hairs that grew in different directions/compromised the shape of my brow. It is a little more expensive than your average waxing place (about $25 for repeat customers). But it is so worth it. I learned my lesson that you get what you pay for.. About a week ago I got my eyebrows threaded for $15 at a place in San Francisco (I am attending school there), and they look wretched. They gave me the typical thin brow and high arch that only looks good on girls with a pixie face. I pray that my eyebrows will grow back so I can get them fixed by the girls at the brow boutique. Seriously, avoid any and all cheap waxing places. They are cheap for a reason.. The Brow Boutique may be ten dollars more than you would normally pay, but its worth every penny. They keep your facial features in mind and understand that brows are not a 'one size fits all' thing. Please don't be like me and go to an inferior salon to save a buck. I finally had an appointment to get in and was running a few minutes late; when I called to notify the staff I was told I had to reschedule. Diana did an amazing job cleaning up the mess left by my previous brow artiste. The boutique is clean, comfortable, well decorated and easy to find. Best place for Brows in the OC. HANDS. DOWN. (Hence why they win awards year after year. ) Moved out to SC a year ago and was referred to BB by a friend. Emily was super sweet, perfectionist, and made my brows compliment my face in a way they never had before. I'm a really low maintenance girl, so it hadn't really occurred to me to get my brows done before. Then Emily moved!! So sad. But I wish her all the best. The reason why this went from 5 star to 4 star, is because while the other gal I've tried did a good job on my brows (can't even remember her name), It wasn't a perfect mesh. Sometimes you just really connect with someone, and I haven't found that again since she left. Hoping to! I have been growing my brows out for 2 years and went to the brow boutique to have them shaped. The first time I went I was so pleased that I brought my mom and sister there to have theirs shaped. I went back 5 weeks later and they are supposed to keep your info in the system, which shape you are, so that you can have the same stencil as before. Well, the second time was AWFUL!!!! My brows were totally uneven and thinner than ever. I was so upset because I have been patiently growing them out and they were finally at the place that I liked them. I called back to complain and the girl asked if I wanted to go back in and have them redone. UM, NO!! Then I canceled my next appiontment and all she said was ok.
