I can't tell you how many times I've been here, because I went to school long before my days of Yelp'ing, but it's definitely around 6 to 7. From drunken college nights, to celebrating Wolverine victories or drowning our sorrows in alcohol from a Michigan loss, this place always seems to fit the bill. Lol. Atmosphere/Appearance: Set right off of East University is this gem. Nice outdoor seating when the weather is right, but... it's a college bar, so they are very strict about checking IDs, almost every time I've been here. Lol. There isn't much to the decoration or the appearance because... who really cares when all you want is cheap drinks and cheap food. Fair enough. Lots of Michigan memorabilia strewn around inside to showcase the school spirit of course. The restaurant is quite elongated though. The main bar area is all up front along with a few wooden booths. Beyond the bar is another dining after you go down some steps. Booths and tables line either side of you as you walk down the center toward where the kitchen and bathrooms are. Service: We sat at the bar, so service was pretty good. I can't remember the young lady's name, but she took great care of us. Our food came out quickly, drinks were flowing and everything went well. Food: Surprisingly, their menu is massive. The drink menu is even more massive. Lol. There's certainly something for everyone here. I went with their 2 pounds of wings. It winds up being about 20 wings which I was able to split into 4 different sauces. I was able to try their Seasoned, BBQ, Caribbean Jerk and Buffalo. Not bad. Nothing to write home or rave about, but definitely some good wings, though Buffalo was my favorite. Value: VERY good. $4.00 Long Island Iced Teas during happy hour, which is everyday from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. There's a different special every day of the week, so it'll keep you wanting to come back. The 2 pounds of wings were $16.99 which averages out to be $0.85 a wing as a normal price. SO MUCH better than the prices back east where sometimes the HAPPY HOUR specials get DOWN to $1.00 a wing. Craziness. Awesome spot on U of M's campus. If you're looking to get hammered for cheap, eat for cheap or do anything regarding food or drink for cheap... this is your spot. Just hit up their website to find out what's on special that day!

I've been told that I have a Brown Jug. Do you have any brown jugs so you can show me?

I was in the men's room. The cook has came in, peed, and left without washing his hands. Yikes. The place is a dive. We avoid it.

The service was horrible. We sat at our table for 15 minutes and no server. We ended up walking out without ever eating.

Great Brunch, good Lunch, but menu could use more variety!…read more Savas is an adorable restaurant with a really welcoming atmosphere; the space is cute, the environment is lovely, and the staff is genuinely amazing every single time. My first visit was for brunch, and it completely won me over. The buffet had a wonderful variety of food, the mimosas and cocktails were delicious, and for the quality, variety, and service you get, the price point is very fair. I left thoroughly impressed. I came back for lunch excited to experience it again, and while the staff was just as warm and the environment just as great, however, this time the lunch menu didn't quite live up to my expectations. They offer salads, sandwiches, mac and cheese and similar American-style comfort food, which is totally fine, but for a restaurant of this caliber I was hoping for something a little more exciting. I ended up ordering a salad with added shrimp, which was absolutely delicious, and a pomegranate rosemary lemonade that was incredibly refreshing - perfect for a summer day-. But if you're not in the mood for sandwiches, salads, or mac and cheese, your options are pretty limited. My suggestion: keep doing everything you're doing because the hospitality and atmosphere are truly special, but consider expanding the lunch and dinner menu for those looking for a heartier or more diverse meal.

There is plenty of dining area seating as well as bar seating and additional seating space on the upper level. We all enjoyed our order of fries - they were crispy and well seasoned. Only comment for improvement would be to provide more aioli sauce with the fries because there isn't enough sauce for all the fries - though we didn't ask the server for more at that moment.

This Sunday, my mom invited myself and my siblings to join her for brunch. The ambience was amazing - with lovely natural lighting and gorgeous table settings. The menu makes every dish seem mouthwatering and delicious. When the plates came out, they were gorgeous and the food looked so inviting. Unfortunately, the taste was completely lacking. If you're going to charge the prices they're charging, the flavor should be amazing in every single bite. We sampled four different dishes, and none blew me away. Some, were even borderline "bad." Here's a rundown: mushroom pizza - the description makes it seem like it will be cheesy and full of flavor, but it was very one note duck confit pizza - had three pieces of duck on it and was otherwise covered in hot peppers lemon blueberry pancake - more of a skillet cake - sauce was the best part, otherwise dry on the bottom Raclette burger - $30 which is almost comparable in price to a burger I had at The Four Seasons in Maui. That burger, was worth every penny. This one had absolutely no flavor. The meat tasted like mush - definitely lacked seasoning, and there was not a speck of cheese to be found. If you're going to call a burger a raclette, it should be oozing with cheese. grilled Romaine salad - leaves were bitter and the dressing again, looked delicious, but had no flavor. The flavors did not compliment each other at all - with the pickled grapes, taking away from the dish and contrasting very starkly against the rotten tasting lettuce Brown sugar oat milk latte - really the only thing that delivered both on looks and on flavor. Sadly, not high on my list of places to return. It kind of made me think of Vegas: lots of pomp and glam which momentarily distracts you into thinking you're having the best time of your life. But in retrospect, not very fulfilling.
